Sam drops more of his personal contributions to Main Street USA and a piece of his work that we hope to see return with the Piano at Coke Corner. More and more food options and offerings are returning to the parks INCLUDING fireworks in the sky above Disneyland kicking off July 4th. -

The week’s FastPass is jam packed with updates inside both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks! The state dropped most pandemic-related regulations and Disney announced what that meant for them & guests moving forward. And for the 1st time in forever, (17 months), all Disney resorts around the world are now back open! News also dropped that fireworks will return to the parks in July. and start planning for the fall, because Disney legend Bob Gurr is turning 90 and inviting you to celebrate with him!

The all new Loki series debuted and we chat about how well Disney has setup integrating character developments immediately into the new land. Welcome to the Mousetalgia FastPass! An entire show spun from the weekly 2020-21 news segment on Mousetalgia, hosted by Kristen Carr. This first episode we introduce you to Kristen, along with Sam Carter and Josh May to kick off the Anaheim, CA resorts being reopened after over a year of closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is episode 105 of Dateline Mousetalgia! We are here for one more show before Dateline Mousetalgia goes on a brief hiatus. This week we dive into Disneyland Resort news and all of the things we have seen with Downtown Disney’s reopening. Hong Disney is closing once again due to the pandemic but Walt Disney World has still pushed forward and all parks are now open. Mask policies have already changed and virtual queues appear to be on the horizon for more attractions. The NBA has exclusive access to WDW attractions and the teams are using Magic Bands throughout the resort. We also discuss the new options for WDW Annual Passholders. To end the show we bring on a very special guest for a quick roundtable and Dateline Mousetalgia memories. We also answer a few of our listener questions. Welcome to Episode 104 of Dateline Mousetalgia. This week we have some big news to start the show that you’ll want to hear! Downtown Disney is reopening this week and we hear from Scott @disneylandnurse who was able to make a trip to visit on the reopening preview day. We also discuss some of the changes we are seeing already. Walt Disney World annual passholders got some surprising credit card charges this week and on the west coast the Disneyland Resort is starting up hotel reservations for August 1st. Walt Disney World is reopening on July 11th and Cast Member previews were held earlier this week. We chat with Youtuber Chris from Provost Park Pass to hear about his experience going to the Magic Kingdom on the first day of Cast Member previews. We also go over everything we have seen from the reopening so far such as operational changes, ride changes and more safety and security measures. Then we dive into Morgan’s favorite topic of the week, “Hamilton,” and hear Jenn’s review of the movie. We end the show with our Question of the Week! Episode 103 is here! This week we start the show with a casual chat about Margo Robbie starring in the new Pirates movies and Johnny Depp’s recent Jack Sparrow magic moment. Disneyland reopening has officially been pushed back and Cast Members are protesting the future reopening. Splash Mountain is getting a complete redesign to become a ride based off the “Princess and the Frog” movie. We discuss this and the lead Imagineer, Charita Charter. Disneyland had a helicopter fly over the park this week and many are speculating what the footage will be used for. Construction has resumed on the Frontierland gate but future projects are going to reopen in stages including “Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway”. Disneyland Resort is asking guests in a survey to decide what to do about their future reservations and the WDW monorail got a social distancing update. Mulan has been pushed back once again and will not go straight to Disney+. We review last week’s “Hamilton” question and Jenn has a new Question of the Week for us this week! It’s episode 102 of Dateline Mousetalgia and reopenings are coming very soon!! Well actually...maybe not?! Downtown Disney will still be reopening with new safety procedures on July 9th, but, we found out after we recorded that the Disneyland reopening date has been pushed back. In this episode we discuss the WDW reservation process and bring on our friend Freddy from the Orlando Adventure Club Podcast to talk about his reservation making experience. Cast Member & AP previews are happening for WDW and Magic Bands are sadly being phased out. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has been canceled but we chat about what will be reopening with the parks. Annual Passholders for WDW have new options for their passes and Disney themed masks are now being sold at Disney Springs. Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney both have reopening dates. Welcome to episode 101 of Dateline Mousetalgia! Orange County is no longer requiring face masks and there is a Change.org petition to push back the reopening date of the Disneyland Resort. We have a few more updates about WDW reopening including hotel reservations and testing of contactless bag checks. The fireworks animation has been removed from the Disneyland app & My Disney experience app... a sign of the times? Hong Disneyland is reopening today with similar reopening guidelines that we have seen for other parks. The Star Wars celebration has been pushed to 2022 and the Disneyland After Dark: STar Wars Nite event has also been postponed with no rescheduled date just yet. E discuss a petition that came out to retheme Splash Mountain to the Princess and the Frog and this week we are super excited to bring our friends from the Podketeers podcast on the episode! We do a fun roundtable game with them about previous Disneyland reimagining and of course we end the episode with a new Question of the Week!

Welcome to Dateline Mousetalgia. We are very excited this week because it is our 100th episode and Disneyland is REOPENING!! Disneyland has announced reopening plans which include July 9th for Downtown Disney, Disneyland and California Adventure opening July 17th and two of the resort hotels will reopen July 23rd. This week we revisit the Shanghai Annual Pass Policies as well as the contracts for the Annual Passes for Disneyland. Walt Disney World released “Know Before You Go” pages for their reopening and we dive into some of the topics including hotel policies, dining and reservations, transportation & shopping. The Disney college program isn’t set to reopen soon but we got official word that the NBA is coming back and playing at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports which is on Walt Disney World property. Disney made a $5 million donation to social justice causes and made us even more proud to be Disney fans! We announce our mask giveaway winners and have a new Question of the Week. Episode 99 is here! This week we discuss all the WDW reopening changes like ticket reservations, AP updates, dining reservations & fastpass plus. Stormtroopers have been enforcing social distancing at Disney Springs and Spaceship Earth is actually going to open up without the reimagining! Disneyland Resort sent out a survey about guest reopening comfort levels and have started accepting vacation reservations starting July 15th. We chat about the awesome website soundsofdisneyland.com, the upcoming Star Wars VR experience, the original baby yoda rendering & the possible Kingdom Hearts Disney+ show. It’s episode 98 of Dateline Mousetalgia and we have lots of updates this week! Disneyland can open in Phase 3 of the California Governor's phased reopening plan and Walt Disney World has OFFICIAL phased reopening dates!! Tokyo Disney’s shopping district is also opening up June 1st. We hear from a sports fan about the NBA season possibly restarting at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando this summer. The DVC tower at Disneyland is still underway and a few more details have been released. Disney+ has a ton of new additions like “Zenimation”, “Out” and more and Jenn gives us her take on the Taco Bell Pineapple Freeze. We have a fun chat with our friend Patrick who makes Disney themed face masks and we have a special surprise for our listeners! On this episode of Dateline Mousetalgia, we hear from friend of the show, Matthew, about the reopening day at Disney Springs! Hong Kong Disneyland is preparing for reopening it seems but still no word on any of the parks in the US. LOTS of corporate shakeups happened this past week! Josh D’amaro and Rebecca Campbell have brand new roles so Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World now have new Presidents. Disney has a patent out for some new technology and the Dapper Dans released fun new videos singing “Grim Grinning Ghosts” and “Happy Birthday”. Jenn tells us about some fun new Haunted Mansion merchandise that is hitting ShopDisney soon. Frozen on Broadway has been permanently canceled but we do have a Hayley Mills D23 event to look forward to on Friday 5/22! We then chat with friend of the show, Nick, who was a cast member at Disneyland and got his start with the Disney College Program. And of course we share this week’s Question of the Week!

We chat about the first episode of Disney Gallery: The Madalorian, shopDisney website issues, the new Droid Depot app and hear about how some of our listeners spent the day. Disneyland and Walt Disney World reopening dates are still unknown and we review the California Governor's state reopening plan. Shanghai Dinsey is the first to announce their reopening date and we discuss what to expect to see as they begin opening in phases. Meanwhile, Shanghai Disney Resort tests out social distancing measures and park updates in attempts to prepare for a possible reopening in a whole new world. Simultaneously, the Walt Disney Company stock is officially downgraded to an A-, while our video conferencing was upgraded with a little Jedi magic disguised as more virtual backdrops, perfectly timed for every Star Wars fan’s favorite upcoming holiday, May the 4th be with you. We chat about the fun new things popping up all over the galaxy, like a new limited edition lightsaber Shop Disney store key that will be available online, the Coca-Cola once-park exclusive thermal detonator bottles being sold in an unauthorized outpost, and Disney Plus gifting us a Star Wars holiday gift wrapped up in all the films, including the latest release, Rise of Skywalker, available to binge on the streaming service May 4th. And while we currently cannot travel to Batuu, we highlight the recent helicopter flyovers allowing us a sneak peak to the large building layout for Toon Town’s upcoming Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway from YouTuber Micah Muzio’s aerial view of an empty Disneyland Resort. In additional shots we spot a covered Quinjet in the backstage area of Marvel Campus, which sparks the news of all upcoming Marvel films earning their own release date changes. To wrap up the show, we share an interview with one of our favorite Disney Instagramers @MichaelDoesDisney. He shares how he began his creative videos that sparked so much Disney magic in these uncertain times and we hear his fun answers to our past and present questions of the week.
