16-year-old Mekayla Bali was last seen on the afternoon of April 12, 2016, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. That morning, she went to school as usual but left shortly after arriving. Before she vanished, she sent her friends cryptic messages, made calls to unknown recipients, and her movements through town were strange. She even returned to school briefly before taking off again. There’s no evidence that she met up with anyone or that she left town on a bus or by other means, so what happened to Mekayla Bali on that sunny spring afternoon?

People in Riverside California were left reeling when they heard the shocking news of a horrible crime committed in the usually peaceful neighbourhood of La Sierra South. Each detail they learned was more horrifying than the last. A teenage girl abducted; a law enforcement officer killed in a shootout; and 3 members of the beloved family found dead. Little did everyone know this story was much bigger, and it originated 2,600 miles away in Virginia with an absolute monster named Austin Lee Edwards.

Brianna got sick and had to take an unexpected hiatus, so, the new plan for October is an in-depth coverage of a true crime case with all 3 parts being released at once! We appreciate your patience and your loyal listenership, so we're making it up to you the best we can. Now, on with the show...
On October 2, 1996, in the small town of Waurika, Oklahoma, 16-year-old Heather Rich snuck out of her bedroom in the middle of the night to see a friend. She never returned home and for 7 agonizing days, her parents did everything they could to find their daughter. Meanwhile, on the evening of October 9, a Texas rancher and his granddaughter saw something floating in Belknap Creek. Assuming a calf had slipped into the river upstream and drowned, he shot the body twice to sink it. The next morning, he realized the calf was still floating in the creek. Upon closer inspection, he realized this wasn’t the body of a drowned calf – it was the body of a person…Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you're listening!

It’s Halloween night in 1957. Betty and Peter Fabiano had turned out the lights in their home in Sun Valley, California. They had just gotten comfy in bed when they heard the doorbell ring. It was past 11 p.m., and they hadn’t had trick-or-treaters in hours. They probably looked at each other, debating who would go answer the door, when the doorbell rang again. Betty watched as Peter got out of bed and headed down the stairs. She heard him answer the door saying, “Yes? Isn’t it kind of late for this sort of thing?” She couldn’t make out the response of the person at the door – she just heard a strange voice that sounded to her like a woman impersonating a man. Suddenly, she heard a pop, then a thump, then silence. As she hurried downstairs to see what was happening, she heard a car outside speed off into the night, the screeching tires faded into the screech of her own terrified screams as she looked down at Peter, who was sprawled out on the floor, unconscious, with blood pouring out of his chest…

In 2005, Eddie Tillman was a 14-year-old boy living in Brooklyn with his loving mother and sisters. Two months prior to his disappearance, he came out as gay and his family accepted him into loving arms. After his disappearance, his mother learned he was communicating with men online. Are one of these men responsible for his disappearance? Are the police correct when they say he ran away? What really happened to Eddie Tillman?
If you have any information about the disappearance of Eddie Tillman, who has been missing from Manhattan’s Lower East Side in New York City since August 10, 2005, please contact the New York Police Department Missing Persons Squad at (212) 694-7781.

Pepita Redhair was a happy, fun, sweet woman who had everything going for her. She had a loving family behind her, she was enrolled in University with dreams of becoming a teacher or an engineer; Pepita was going places. But all of that changed when she vanished in March of 2020. Her family was frantic - where did she go and why did no one seem to care? Her boyfriend was evasive (he still is to this day) and law enforcement was falling back on the horrible cliches we see far too often - "She's allowed to be missing", "she's probably out on a bender", "don't worry about it". But her family was worried. Where was their sweet girl? How can a promising young woman vanish off the face of the earth?
If you have any information about the disappearance of Pepita Madalyn Redhair, who has been missing from Albuquerque, New Mexico since March 27, 2020, please contact the Albuquerque Police Department at (505) 242-2677, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety - Missing Person Hotline at (800) 457-3463, you can call in an anonymous tip at 505-843-STOP, or you can email the Attorney General’s Office at [email protected].

This week's episode is about one of Newfoundland’s longest missing person investigations turned murder mystery.
On September 2, 1993, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received a call from the mother of Dale Worthman. She wanted to report for son and his girlfriend, Kimberley Lockyer, missing. The couple hadn’t told anyone they were leaving town or given their loved ones or friends a reason that they might be unreachable, and no one had seenthem or heard from them since August 27. When police investigated their apartment, it appeared the couple had vanished into thin air. What ensued was a nearly 13 year cold case, a confusing confession, and, like with many murder mysteries, more questions than answers when it comes to the deaths of the "ill-fated lovers" Kimberley Lockyer and Dale Worthman. What really happened that fateful day? And who is responsible? Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you're listening!

The formidable Dallas Stoudenmire robbed people of their dignity and sometimes even their lives, but he also robbed El Paso of its violent crime.
Join us for the wild ride that is the life of Dallas Stoudenmire, and the chaos, crime, and of course the gunfights, that surrounded this lawman of the Old West. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you're listening!
