Back in November 2023, Lenny Kaye from the Patti Smith Group played a tribute show to the amazing box set he compiled "Nuggets" at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. The Nuggets Boxset profiles lost classics from the 60s psychedelic garage rock era. Matt was fortunate enough to sit down with one of the performers before the show Hugo Burnham (the drummer from Gang of Four)! We discussed a bit of the history of Gang of Four as well as his involvement with the Nuggets tribute shows.

Matt chats with the synth punk band Nots (Memphis, TN) while they were on tour for their latest album titled 3.
Matt also re-caps his first interview with the band back in 2015 when they opened for Roky Erickson at the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, NC
Nots discussed joining up with the great Memphis label Goner Records, side projects Optic Sink and Hash Redactor, touring Australia, their favorite Memphis bands, jamming out to the lost 80s classic "You Can Do Magic" by America while on the road, the origins of their bug song "Insect Eyes" and more!
