  • Be curious. Read widely. Try new things. What people call intelligence just boils down to curiosity - Aaron Swartz

Ben is a movement practitioner, teacher, an extremely curious human and a student of life but he is also a Dad.
In this episode Ben shares profound wisdom and deep insights about growing up, life and fatherhood. From growing up as a single child with parents that provided experiences and opportunities to heading overseas by himself to experience life for himself, to what it means to be a Dad. It's all in this episode.
There are many people who have book smarts but very few people actually practice what they preach and deeply embody who they say they are, Ben is one of these people. The greatest opportunity to truly Walk the Walk came when he became a father. Enjoy this episode with Ben Byfield. • Cody Jarvis is an extremely humble Dad who had an extremely simple approach to his unique story, 'Show up and be all in.' Going from 0 kids to 3 was 'natural' for Cody, supported by his amazing partner Shenai, Cody was welcomed as part of the family with loving arms. His simple approach is a testament to the character of Cody and personally I have a huge amount of respect for him and his story.
Cody's story hasn't been without its challenges both personally and in his relationship but this has allowed for perspective and to cherish being in the present moment. Cody shares some amazing wisdom through his approach to parenting and opens up beautifully about his experience.................... Please find and connect with me on Instagram @adadliftingdads

  • Phil Dolan is an extremely proud dad and it's an honour to have him here for episode five of the Dads Lifting Dads podcast. Growing up in a house and in a time when love necessarily wasn't shown through physical affection or words of affirmation, Phil was adamant that his family and his children would overflow with this abundance. It was a running joke with family and friends that his daughter was never going to learn to walk because for the first few years Phil didnt want to put her down. This sums up Phil in a nutshell, an extremely huge heart and one of the most passionate people i have come across. Phil and i have had many conversations over the last few years but my most favourite ones have always been about family. Phil has been like my crystal ball in a sense, with 2 older kids there has been many chats about the many learnings of parenting. Phil is an extremely humble dad that doesnt attribute any great teachings to the amazing kids he has raised. For me this only highlights the importance and power that just being in your kids life, being present and nuturing this special bond can do to create an incredible relationship. Phil is someone i have long admired as a dad and its my pleasure to dive deeper in this episode with him as i welcome Phil to the Dads Lifting Dads podcast. • Nick owns and operates a successful barbershop here on the Central Coast. The Private Studio is more than a barbershop and Nick has opened the doors of his studio over the last year to a huge number of community events. This is a huge testament and statement to the type of human Nick is. Nick is a barber, entrepreneur, videographer, photographer, instagrammer, you tuber and all the other ‘Ers most notably though he is a Father. And as you may have already guessed it, Nick is an extremely busy man and it’s the reason the episode in split into two parts. As busy as he is Nick always has time for the two loves in his life. His amazing wife Hannah and his adoring daughter Elliot. In this episode Nick jams so much value in this short time and his philosophy on being a dad left a huge mark on myself personally. Nicks number one goal is to have more happy moments than sad moments with his daughter Elliot. Such a simple goal which I believe everyone should aspire to. We leave the episode on a great cliff hanger, which I am keen to dive into on part two but for now please enjoy part one with Nick Senam………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………Dads Lifting Dads is a diverse community of dads coming together to celebrate our challenges and rejoice in our successes. It's about dads who know that true strength comes from vulnerability. Todays episode is with James Sherrah.
James is a qualified counsellor, a mens group facilitator, owner of mindfully primal – a coaching and counselling service with a focus on movement, mental health and men.
Most of all James is an extremely loving partner to Candace and a powerfully conscious parent to his 2 amazing kids Scarlett and Ava.
