Today we have a conversation with JAY BILAS. Yes, the Jay Bilas you know from ESPN. He’s an icon in the world of college basketball, a six time Emmy nominee, a NYT bestselling author, a Duke legend and NBA vet, a practicing attorney, a husband, a dad , an all around great dude, and today he’s the guest on our show!
I personally got as much or more from this conversation, as much any other episode we’ve done so far. The marriage advice, insights on how he raised his kids to be the successful and wonderful adults that they are now
So many gems. So much wisdom. You're going to love this episode with Jay Bilas.

Adrian is the founder of the men's coaching program called Men of Bedrock. He's a husband, he's a dad, he's a teacher, and he's been a big supporter of me and this show over the last year or two. He's someone I've learned from both directly and just from following him and his content on instagram. He's a guy that I have a ton of respect for. Its easy to talk the talk but he walks the walk and sets a great example for the rest of us to follow. He's a man of faith and he doesn't shy away from it. I love that about him. I think so highly of Adrian and I'm honored to have him on the show.

Drew Holcomb is a fantastic musician and plays with a group called Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. In fact, The Neighbors actually just released their ninth album, called Strangers No More (LINKED HERE). Drew is a Tennessee man - born in Memphis, went to school at Univ of Tennessee in Knoxville, and now lives in Nashville with his wife Ellie, who is also a well-known, talented musician, and his three kiddos, Emmylou, Huck, and Rivers. He also started a really incredible music festival in my home town of Chattanooga called Moon River. People come from all over for that one they get amazing acts to come play. It is really well done. Drew's humor is dry and direct, which made this conversation a lot of fun. He's honest and unafraid to tell it like it is. The back half of this conversation is especially great. We talk about living in community, why our job as parents is not to entertain our kids, and Drew gives his take on vulnerability as well as some other unsolicited advice. Above it all, Drew is an incredible man, husband, and father, and it was an honor to host him on the show

Daniel Carlson is the starting kicker for the Las Vegas Raiders. Daniel kicked at my alma matter, Auburn University for four straight years, where he had a tremendous career and became the SEC's all time leading scorer. He was selected in the fifth round by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2018 NFL draft, but after a rough game in Minnesota, Carlson was cut and was picked up by the Las Vegas Raiders where he's been ever since. He has been the NFL's leading scorer In two of the last three seasons, and just last year he signed a big contract extension locking him in with the Raiders for the next four years. I really enjoyed hearing his perspective on the uncertain times in his career as a newly married man and the significance of the stability provided by a four year contract as a father of one with number two on the way. As an Auburn guy I've rooted for Daniel throughout his entire career, and after getting to chat with him it only reinforced my perception of him as a strong, humble dude with a calm confidence about him. There is nothing to not like about this guy. On the field he has ice in his veins. He's as clutch as they come. Off the field he lives a life deeply rooted in faith and devoted to his young and growing family. But above it all he's an incredible man, husband, and father, and I'm pumped I had the opportunity to chat with him.
