This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music volume 9 which was released in March 1987 and saw the debuts of both Erasure & Bon Jovi although Bon Jovi wouldn't appear again until Now 34!! Vince Clarke's previous band Yazoo never appeared while his other previous band Depeche Mode didn't appear until Now 17. Now 9 was also the first Now to feature a Levi's ad song.

This week Rebekah got to listen to Now That's What I Call Music Volume 8 which was released in November 1986 and included the only original Top of the Pops theme song to appear on a Now album. Featured artists include Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Madness & Genesis.

This week we discuss Now That's What I Call Music Volume 7 which was released in August 1987 and saw artists such as Pet Shop Boys, The Housemartins, Bananarama, A-ha, Billy Ocean and Simply Red. Now 7 is also the only Now in the series in which Chris De Burgh appears.

This week Rebekah listened to Now That's What I Call Music Volume 6 which was the 1st to display the new logo which didn't include the iconic Pig. It was also released just after the 1st Now Christmas Album and included Queen, Elton John, Tina Turner & Kate Bush.

This week Rebekah listens to Now 5 which was released in 1985 and saw artists such as Duran Duran, Scritti Politti, U2, Simple Minds, Phil Collins & Style Council. It was the last volume of the series to feature the Pig on the sleeve and use the slogan "Make It Pig" on its TV advert

This week Rebekah gets to listen to Now That's What I Call Music volume 4. Now 4 released in 1984 around same time as the Ethiopia famine came to public attention which lead to both the Band Aid single and Live Aid concert. Now 4 was the 1st to feature 32 tracks due to rival record companies releasing the Hits Album compilation. Now 4 included singles from Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Elton John, Culture Club, Queen & Tina Turner

This week Rebekah gets to listen to Now That's What I Call Music volume 3. Now 3 is the 1st volume of the series to use the pig as it's logo. This album was both George Michael (Wham!) & Bob Marley's debut in the series. Other artists on this album are Duran Duran, Queen, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Thompson Twins & Ultravox

This week we discussed Now That's What I Call Music Vol.2 and was the 1st to use Roman numerals on it's cover and only 1 other has since used Roman numerals too...artists on Now 2 included Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Queen, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran and Culture Club.

This week Rebekah listened to a duet put together for this 1 number 1 hit, a duet who were tragically separated following a very brief successful period, a musical theatre actress/singer who had chart success with many different partners and Wham's backing singers, who had a brief career following Wham disbanding.
