Ahoj! Hello guys, a recent survey has shown that 8% of Czechs already invested into a cryptocurrency (mostly Bitcoin). Also the Forbes magazine wrote an article in 2018 where Pragues was selected as a top Bitcoin city. So let's take a look into the world of cryptocurrencies in the Czech Republic. Where is Bitcoin accepted? Which Czech companies are significant in this new world? And what are the cultural/historical reasons behind this phenomenon?

The beginning of the 15th century was quite a turbulent time in the land of the Bohemian Kingdom. It was chosen as a time period for one of the most successful Czech video games Kingdom Come Deliverance. So I will tell you more about this part of Czech history - about the situation in the Bohemian Kingdom and also about the important events that were ahead and that might be a substance for Kingdom Come Deliverance Part 2. I will be also talking a bit about the background of the game itself and I hope that you will also enjoy this RPG game from the land of Bohemia.

Angelique "Angelika" Scharmach moved to Jablonec nad Nisou (Northern Bohemia) in September 2020. As she is brand new in the Czech Republic, we played a small game where we are talking about German loanwords (Germanisms) in Czech language. As the land of today's Czechia was ruled for nearly 4 centuries by Austrian kings and emperors, there are still some words from German which we have adapted into the Czech language. But as Czechoslovakia was established in 1918, many of these words sound archaic to the current generation of Germans. So let's see how it goes.

Then we also spoke with Angelika about her story - why did she and her husband move to Czechia and how they are doing so far in very unusual times of corona restrictions.

Ahoj! Hey guys, beer is a significant part of Czech culture, after-all Czechs are the ones who drink the most beer per capita per year. Yep, Germans and Austrians drink less beer than we do. So let's take a look into the first known brewery in Bohemia and also let's talk about the most famous Czech beer brands - Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser.

If you've been interested in the Czech Republic for some time you have most likely heard the most famous Czech tongue twister with no vowels Strč prst skrz krk (= Stick your finger through the neck). So let's move past that. I will tell you other ones that may make you smile or scare you (who knows :-D).
