The frontman from the award-winning Christian band We Are Messengers says his testimony is proof that Jesus can rescue anyone – even a rock band member who rejected God and spent countless nights sleeping with strangers and partying until he was unconscious.
Listen in as Darren shares how he went from drinking heavily to searching for the answers to life's biggest questions - and eventually, finding the answers in Christ.
“Dead men can't raise themselves and blind men can't teach themselves to see – only Jesus does that,” Darren said. “So when I was 27, Jesus ran into my grave and pulled me out of it, and has changed my life.”

“God redeems our story, no matter how hard it gets,” St. James told Crosswalk Headlines' Michael Foust. “And I think a lot of people are discouraged in our world today. They're discouraged about marriage, they're discouraged about family life, they're discouraged about faith. A lot of people, I think, need hope and need to be reminded that God is the great redeemer of our story and of our life. I think that's why people are responding to the film the way that they are.”

An actress who made a name for herself on Broadway before venturing into Great American Family and Hallmark movies says her faith and a specific Bible passage have been the guiding light in her career.
Laura Osnes is a two-time Tony Award nominee for her performances on Broadway in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Bonnie & Clyde and the winner of the role of “Sandy” in the 2007 NBC reality series Grease: You're the One That I Want! She’s appeared on PBS’ A Capitol Fourth three times.
In recent years, though, she has become known for her roles in family-friendly romantic comedies. She has a lead role in Just In Time, a new movie on Great American Pure Flix that Candace Cameron Bure executive produced.
“I often wonder how people survive in the entertainment industry without a firm foundation, because it is so volatile,” she told Crosswalk Headlines, referencing faith. “There are times of highs and there are times of lows -- you are told no a lot in this industry. And you have to be so solid and grounded in who you are and who you're called to be and what you're called to do."

Anne Wilson has a message for fans of her Christian music: She’s not abandoning the faith-centric genre.
She is, though, leaning into country music more than ever. Her sophomore album, Rebel (April 19), leads with a fast-paced country tune and includes a country flare throughout most of the 16 tracks, including several -- God and Country, for example -- that sound like they were written with pickup trucks in mind. The album cover features Wilson in a cowboy hat.
Wilson, though, is rejecting labels.

A discussion with 89-year-old Pat Boone isn’t merely a trip down memory lane.
The energetic singer and actor -- who is celebrating 70 years in entertainment -- is still busy. He has a new album, Country Jubilee, with 25 songs, including the whimsical tune Grits. He has a new faith-centric book, If, that urges readers to consider their eternal destiny.
He plays Thomas Jefferson in an upcoming film, An American Miracle: Divine Providence in the Rise of the Republic. Boone’s character is portrayed in the new movie Reagan, which stars Dennis Quaid as the former president and is scheduled for an August release.
While other music stars were falling into temptation -- if not dying in drug overdoses -- Boone stayed true to his Christian faith. Raised in the church, Boone had a wife and children as he was rising to stardom. His public image became one of a church-going rock star.
“I was so blessed. …This platform was given to me miraculously -- and for a reason... I sensed it. I knew that God gave me a platform from which I could express my own faith and my own life, my lifestyle, without having to make any explanations.”

Legendary actor Dennis Quaid is calling his new gospel album an “autobiographical” record, saying it tells the story of a man who was searching for purpose until he filled his “God-sized hole” through his Christian faith.
Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners is Quaid’s debut gospel album and includes seven hymns/classics and five original songs.
His faith, he said, has grown deeper as he’s grown older.
“I lean on God. I talk to Him every day,” Quaid said. “...I talk to God about problems. …And gratitude for the blessings that I have. …It’s having somebody to talk to.”
His new faith is filling the void in his life that drugs could not, he said.
“And everybody has that -- they try to fill that with relationships or with drugs or with money or with whatever it is, you know, our heart’s desire,” he said. “...What we're really looking for is to fill that …God-sized hole.”

Filmmaker and Duck Dynasty star Korie Robertson says the new movie about her father-in-law’s dramatic change is proof that redemption is possible for anyone.
“No one's too far gone for the love of Jesus,” said Korie. “I think there's this narrative that people can't change – like, once you're one person, then that's who you are. But with Jesus, people really can change. Lives can change and turn around – totally. And marriages can be saved. Families can be changed. Generations can be changed forever.”

Luke Smallbone was nearly five when his parents -- David and Helen Smallbone -- traveled from Australia to the United States with big dreams but were forced to chase odd jobs when David's job fell through. The entire family pitched in to help by cleaning houses and mowing lawns, among other things.
His parents, he said, refused to "give up on faith" or "give up on Jesus."
Their story is retold in the upcoming movie Unsung Hero, which is scheduled to release in theaters on April 26. It stars Daisy Betts, Candace Cameron Bure, and Lucas Black.

Christian singer-songwriter Phil Wickham talks about his album, "I Believe" with Michael Foust in this exclusive interview.
Award-winning Christian music artist Phil Wickham shared that he witnessed "thousands and thousands" of people surrender their lives to Jesus Christ this past summer.
According to CBN News, Wickham went on the nationwide Summer Worship Nights Tour with Grammy Award-winning artist Brandon Lake. In addition to their worship sets, both artists also made a call to salvation.
"Every night, God really laid it on our heart, me and Brandon Lake, it just felt so obvious we were supposed to give people a chance to know Jesus," he told The Christian Post in a recent interview.
"We just felt like that's what God was calling us to do, and every night we do a legit Gospel presentation," he added. "Then the lights go up (and) it has been crazy; thousands and thousands of people have lifted their hands, and the church (is) coming along them and praying for them."

When Zach Williams reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son, he sees himself in the story.
Like that wayward son in the biblical story, Williams walked away from his family as a young adult, rejecting the faith and values that had been taught to him from birth. He got hooked on marijuana. He became a heavy drinker. He formed a Southern Rock band and toured the world. And then he realized he had a hole in his soul that only Jesus could fill.
In this episode, Michael and Zach talk faith, addiction and Zach's collaboration with Dolly Parton.

Oscar-nominated actor Mark Wahlberg is crediting his faith and his prayer life for his success, saying in a new interview they’re at the “forefront” of everything he does. Wahlberg has been open about his faith in recent years. He and actor Jonathan Roumie of The Chosen were featured in a Super Bowl ad this year for the Catholic prayer app Hallow, and two years ago, Wahlberg produced and starred in a passion project, Father Stu, that told the story of a Catholic priest who persevered in his faith as he developed a muscular disease.
Listen in as we talk about Mark's faith and his new movie Arthur the King, which comes out on March 15, 2024. In Arthur the King, Wahlberg portrays an athlete, Mikael Lindnord, whose team is competing in a grueling adventure race in the Dominican Republic when they encounter a stray dog with major wounds. Wahlberg’s character instantly bonds with the dog, dubbed “Arthur,” but then faces a dilemma: If he helps the dog find a vet, he could lose the race. The movie is based on a true story.

Michael Foust sits down with Rabbi Jason Sobel about his role as a consultant on 'The Chosen.'
An author and leader within the Messianic Jewish movement says he converted from Judaism to Christianity after a friend helped open his eyes to Old Testament passages that prophesied the coming of Christ.
Rabbi Jason Sobel, the author of Mysteries of the Messiah and multiple other books, told Christian Headlines he grew up in a Jewish home in the New York area but didn’t examine the Messianic prophecies until he was an adult.
Sobel is well-known in the Messianic Jewish movement and serves as a consultant for the hit television series 'The Chosen.' He is the host of the TBN series 'The Chosen Unveiled.'
