David Fleming from Doxology to discuss mental health from the shepherd's perspective.

Today we have a very special guest with the Rev. Todd Peperkorn who is the author of the book, "I Trust When Dark My Road." Pastor Mize and Pastor Peperkorn discuss what it means to have depression and other mental disorders while serving as a pastor. They also pick up on the stigmas associated with pastoral depression, the ever helpful group Doxology, and Pastor Peperkorn tells his own story of depression, help, and healing and the shepherding of the flock.
We here at Cross-Eyed give thanks to our listeners for you kind consideration during this episode which touches on real life issues and we are thankful for Pastor Peperkorn who doesn't turn a blind eye to these issues in this episode.

Pastor Mize takes a more serious tone in episode 8. Tired of the fighting within society the last straw was seeing his church body (LC-MS) begin to turn against itself for the sake of bullying faithful men simply doing their jobs as pastors. Time and patience are gifts from God, let us attend them before joining up with groups that draw "us against them" lines in the sand. If we can't do this for the sake of Christ...well..then there is no peaceful, harmonious, or positive outcome.
