The White House Farm murders occurred on August 7, 1985, when Nevill and June Bamber, along with their daughter Sheila Caffell and her twin sons, were found shot to death in their family home in Essex, England. Initially, police believed that Sheila, who had a history of schizophrenia, had murdered her family before taking her own life. However, suspicion soon turned to her adopted brother, Jeremy Bamber, who stood to inherit the family estate. Evidence such as a silencer with traces of Sheila's blood and witness testimonies pointed to Jeremy as the orchestrator of the crime, allegedly motivated by greed. Jeremy Bamber was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but the case remains controversial, with ongoing debates about potential police mishandling and conflicting evidence.

The murder of Maria Ridulph occurred in December 1957 when the 7-year-old girl was abducted while playing near her home in Sycamore, Illinois. Her remains were found five months later in a rural area, sparking one of the longest cold case investigations in U.S. history. Decades later, in 2012, Jack McCullough (AKA John Tessier), a former neighbor, was convicted of her murder based on new evidence, though his conviction was overturned in 2016 due to misinterpreted facts. The case remains a tragic unsolved mystery with enduring legal and investigative challenges.

In 2015, a group of elderly thieves, known as "The Diamond Wheezers," executed a daring heist in London's Hatton Garden, stealing around £14 million worth of valuables from an underground safe deposit vault. Despite their meticulous planning, the gang made crucial mistakes, including leaving a digital trail and being caught on CCTV, which led to their eventual capture. The thieves, some in their seventies, were lifelong criminals who saw this heist as one last big score, but only a third of the stolen goods were ever recovered. Their story stands as one of England’s most audacious and unusual robberies.

In August 2005, a group of over twenty thieves pulled off one of the largest bank heists in history, tunneling into the Central Bank of Brazil in Fortaleza and stealing $70 million without triggering any alarms. The sophisticated plan, which took three months to execute, involved a fake landscaping business as a cover for digging the tunnel. Despite their success, most of the robbers were eventually caught or killed, with only a fraction of the stolen money ever recovered. The heist, now infamous, left the thieves' lives in ruins, with many regretting their involvement.
