This episode includes my number one tip for manifesting things in your life with ease. I also explain what manifesting is, easy ways to start, and told a story of how I used this tip to manifest a life changing trip and meet my husband. You can also use this tip to make almost anything in your life more fun, so the payoff is immediate.
CORRECTION: In the podcast I recommended an interview, but it turns out it's not been published publicly. Here is a link to another interview between Cathy Heller and Susie Moore which is about similar material. This one is also fabulous.

Self compassion is the most underrated skill of any I know of. It is the means of stepping back, gaining perspective, switching into problem solving mode, and encouraging yourself just the way you would for a friend. In this episode I talk about my own experience with self compassion in art, motherhood, and as a business owner. I also tell a story of how self compassion for myself in art school became a bridge to one of my greatest manifestations.
I also read an excerpt from Rhyder Carroll's book "The Bullet Journal Method." There is some true personal development gold in that book, I tell you.

In this episode, I explain a really easy way to get around blocks which I recently learned from the incredible Susie Moore. It has inspired me so much that I've already used it to help several people in my life this week, one of them being my son in his golf match last night! As I was walking around the course, I also thought about how similar golf is to working alone in your studio. Both practices are an inside game. So much is determined by the mindset you approach it with. I also talk about the sweet spot between praising yourself and stepping out of your comfort zone to take a risk. When you get this balance right, it brings so much sizzle to your life!

I started recording right after a morning of excellent painting and mindset content consumption, then a lovely walk in the sunshine with my dog. I love, love, love listening to mindset content while I paint. It just unlocks two really important parts of my mind and allows everything to flow so well. I was so overwhelmed with joy that I rushed into my studio right after the walk and recorded this podcast. In it I talk about leaning into what feels easy to naturally allow your creativity to flourish. I coach you to believe that if you aren't in that beautiful place yet that it's coming and I give you my best, simplest mindset tips to get you there. Leaning into your strengths (ie whatever is easiest), starting small, giving yourself credit for your gains and embracing learning is the recipe. You are on your way to a place of wholeness and flow. It's coming quicker than you think. xx
Also, sorry my husband's table saw made itself heard in the background there for a second. We are always creating and it was impossible to edit out, lol!

In this Episode I talk about how everyone has the seed of creativity within them and everyone has the potential to be an artist. The key is to nurture it for long enough for it to develop it's root system. I tell lots of stories of my own challenges with nurturing this seed in myself despite full time jobs, kids, etc. I also give tips for how you can nurture your own creativity.

2. The War of Art by Stephen Pressfield - this kick in your pants manifesto talks about getting past "Resistance" so that you can actually make the work you want to make. Read it for 15 minutes before making art and you will feel so motivated!

In the first episode, I explain that I'm doing this podcast to spread a mindset of abundance in the world. This will benefit anyone, but it will particularly benefit creative people because I tell the story through the lens of my creative life.
I tell the story of:
how my mindset work paved the way for my current artwork and success.what led me to start to paint skies in Sept 2022 (I was a sculptor and photographer before that!) how I started my meditation practice and the limiting belief I had to overcome in order to make it work for me. how I made time for my artwork despite having four young childrenIf you leave a review of this episode and email me a screenshot of it, I will send you an invitation to a free group coaching class with me so you can soak up some more abundant mindset.
