What Went Wrong covers Hollywood’s most notoriously disastrous movie productions, digging into the behind the scenes insanity of everything from massive flops to record breaking blockbusters. Each episode, hosts Lizzie Bassett and Chris Winterbauer dive into a new film to explore the mind blowing (and sometimes numbing) reasons why making a movie is nearly impossible (especially a good one). Produced by David Boman.

Wolf and David explore the history films we love or (or sometimes, films we’d loved just a little less but find interesting). Turns out we like different things…anyway, then we given them a score for two things – how good are they as a film, and how accurate are they with their history.
When you’ve listened, join us at the History of England Facebook Group – you can vote, and tell us what you think of the film, and you can even tell us (in no uncertain terms) what you think of our views (while writing to your MP in the strongest possible terms).

Alicia, Mia, Stephen, and Jeremiah – along with special guests – are discussing some of the greatest movies ever made. Who says? Sight And Sound magazine says. Every ten years, since 1952, the publication has surveyed critics and directors to determine which films, according to those surveyed, might be considered the best. The five film-loving friends take turns picking movies that have appeared on the list and then dig into them with an eye on their cultural impact, how they stand up today, and just whether they’re actually as good as all those critics and directors say they are.

A podcast where I talk about movies from the 30s to the 60s. I will be looking at the plot, themes, characters, funny anecdotes, and anything worth mentioning. The structure of the podcast will alternate between very famous movies from the time (eg Hitchcock) and lesser known movies that are definitely worth talking about. I will also be dedicating some episodes to specific actors and directors and looking at their contribution to cinema.
