In this episode of The Common Knowledge Podcast, Marcus L-Spade Johnson takes a hard look at three conversations that are shaping America right now.
First, we discuss the growing perception that Donald Trump is not good at the job of governing. Beyond slogans and campaign rallies, are Americans seeing effective leadership, or are they witnessing missed promises, poor decision-making, and a government struggling to deliver results?
Next, we examine the reality of aging leadership and the simple truth that Father Time remains undefeated. What happens when political leaders grow older, and how should voters think about age, health, stamina, and the future of leadership?
Finally, Marcus connects the conversation to Men's Mental Health Awareness Month and explores the challenges of modern dating. Why are so many men feeling disconnected, lonely, and isolated? How have dating apps, social expectations, and declining social skills changed relationships? And what role does community, purpose, and personal accountability play in improving both dating and mental health outcomes?
This episode isn't about partisan talking points—it's about facing reality, asking difficult questions, and having honest conversations about leadership, relationships, and the future.
Real Talk. Different Perspectives. Common Knowledge.

In this episode of The Common Knowledge Podcast, Marcus “L-Spade” Johnson breaks down why Juneteenth is not just a Black holiday, but an American one. He argues that if you claim to believe in freedom, equality, and the founding ideals of this country, then you should celebrate the day America moved closer to living up to its promise.
Marcus also gives his thoughts on Black Americans boycotting Asian businesses over the Rick Chow verdict, and explores the deeper issues of respect, economics, solidarity, and accountability between communities.
A bold conversation about history, freedom, and what it really means to believe in America.

From capitalism and socialism to corporate bailouts, tax subsidies, and political fearmongering, Marcus explores how both parties sell different stories while many working-class Americans face the same struggles. Is America truly capitalist? Why are some companies "too big to fail"? And who really benefits when the public is divided against itself?

THE BLACK TRAUMA HUSTLE
In this powerful episode of The Common Knowledge Podcast, Marcus L. Spade Johnson dives deep into “The Black Trauma Hustle” — exposing how pain, struggle, and generational trauma in the Black community have been turned into profit by a self-help industry that often lacks real credentials, accountability, and cultural understanding.
We break down the rise of so-called “experts” like Dr. Umar Johnson, Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, Kevin Samuels, and John Hope Bryant — and ask the questions many people are afraid to ask:
Who’s truly qualified?
Who’s profiting?
And why do we continue to place blind trust in personalities over proven expertise? This episode explores:
• The self-help industry profiting off Black trauma
• The difference between experience and expertise
• Why credentials and accountability matter
• The performative nature of modern social media advice
• Why the Black community needs multiple pathways to success — not one-size-fits-all formulasThis isn’t about hate. It’s about honesty, accountability, critical thinking, and protecting our community from exploitation disguised as empowerment.

In this segment of The Common Knowledge Podcast, Marcus L-Spade Johnson tackles one of the most divisive conversations in the Black community: interracial dating, division between Black men and Black women, and the bigger systems that benefit from keeping people fighting each other.
This isn’t about attacking Black women or praising interracial dating. It’s about asking deeper questions: Why are people policing Black love? Who benefits from the division? And why do we spend more time fighting each other than confronting the systems that created the tension in the first place?
The conversation also explores loyalty, unity, identity, media narratives, and the role relationships play in larger social structures. A raw, honest discussion about race, love, community, and accountability.

In this episode of The Ran-Dumb Show, we tackle one of the most misunderstood ideas in modern politics: the difference between false claims and unsubstantiated claims.
Too often today, the moment something is labeled a “conspiracy theory,” the conversation ends. But history shows us that many conspiracies once dismissed as ridiculous eventually turned out to be real. From Watergate to intelligence scandals, truth sometimes begins as a theory people don’t want to investigate.
This episode explores why “unsubstantiated” does not mean “false” and why that distinction matters when discussing powerful people and institutions.
We examine the renewed conversations around Jeffrey Epstein’s network and the political figures connected to it, the public debate over what counts as evidence, and the growing tendency in modern politics to move the goalposts whenever uncomfortable questions arise.
At the same time, we zoom out to the broader geopolitical stage — including escalating tensions in the Middle East, the complicated relationship between the United States and Israel, and the way global conflicts often intersect with domestic political narratives.
As a U.S. Army veteran, I also talk about something rarely discussed in political debates: the reality that the people most eager to support war are often the least likely to fight in one.
This episode is not about proving a conspiracy.
It’s about asking whether we are still willing to investigate power, follow evidence, and hold leaders accountable — even when the questions are uncomfortable.Because in a functioning democracy, skepticism should apply to everyone.
And remembering one simple truth might help:
Unsubstantiated doesn’t mean false.

In this episode of The Common Knowledge Podcast with Marcus L-Spade Johnson, we break down three stories colliding at the crossroads of culture, politics, and race.
First, we unpack the racist social media post Donald Trump shared depicting Barack and Michelle Obama, why the White House tried to distance itself after backlash, and why deniability has become the modern shield for racism in American politics — especially during Black History Month.
Next, we zoom out to the Super Bowl halftime culture war, where Bad Bunny’s performance sparked outrage from conservative groups and led to counter-programming efforts like the Turning Point USA “All-American” halftime show. We talk about why representation, language, and culture still trigger panic — and what that says about who gets to define “American.”
Finally, we switch gears with a review of J. Cole’s new album — digging into the themes, the growth, the introspection, and how Cole continues to navigate authenticity, success, and social awareness in a noisy industry.
From politics to pop culture to hip-hop, this episode connects the dots between power, backlash, and who gets to tell the story.
