In this episode of Devotions with Christian Outdoors Jon takes a brief look at some of the details surrounding the Triumphal Entry during Holy Week.
Jesus reveals His heart for the spiritually blind.
Jesus reveals His heart for the nations.
Jesus reveals His heart for the marginalized.
Matthew 21.1-17; Luke 19.41-44; John 3.17
-
Seven days that changed the world. From a triumphal entry into Jerusalem, to a hill called Golgatha, to an empty tomb. It all happened in seven days.
The sacrifice of Christ cannot be overstated. God became man and took on the sin of the whole world, so that YOU would not have to carry the burden of sin. For six hours he hung on the cross to take away the sins of the entire world...for YOU. His death is our hope in eternal life with him. his resurrection is proof that our souls live forever. We can choose to live forever in the presence of God, or forever separated from God.
Join Jon and me as we celebrate Holy week.

Walking the halls of the turkey show a few weeks ago, I was flagged down by today's guest. He was working the booth of Backwoods Mafia, an appareal company that has solidified their space in the outdoor market. Our conversation quickly moved to his other company American Threads, where he customizes appareal inhouse for clients.
But what really stood out about Landon was his drive as an entreprenuer and his passion for Christ. We instantly began sharing our faith stories there in the halls of the Gaylord Convention Center and today is no different. Landon has a great story of his faith driven companies and his faith driven life.

This week Jon discusses four lessons from a lady known as Rahab the Harlot. While Rahab does share the same middle name as John the Baptist, her last name is not exactly something to be proud of. However, there are least four lessons we can learn from her life and apply to our own lives.
Scripture: Hebrews 11.1-2; Joshua 2, Romans 8.28; Luke 23.39-43; Matthew 1.5; Isaiah 64.8
Lesson #1 - Don't be ashamed of where you have been rescued from.
Lesson #2 - Your past does not determine your future.
Lesson #3 - It is never too late.
Lesson #4 - God is not done writing your story.
God desires to shape your lives into something beautiful my friends!!!
As always, if you wish to further dialogue about this, please feel free to reach out to Jon at [email protected].

How important is clean drinking water? For most of America we take it for granted that when we turn the water tap on, we will have safe clean drinking water. This is not the case for most of the world.
After a chance encounter with a pastor from Kenya, Elliott Stoval felt called to do something about the difficulty for people in Kenya and other parts of the world to get and have clean safe drinking water. Elliott began "The Filter Project" to provide free water filters to people in these areas and to use this avenue to bring them the gospel of Christ in the process.
The Filter Project is designed to provide water filters to people at no cost to them. Relying strictly on donations to purchase and ship the filters to all parts of the world.
You can help by going to their website and donating a filter to support this mission.

Much of North America was settled by trappers who explored and pioneered this great country. In many areas it is a forgotten or lost art. In others it is frowned upon by those who do not understand the importance of managing wildlife. Trapping is considered by most biologists, and wildlife managers as the best and most effective manner of removing excess populations of predators from the landscape.
Today on Christian Outdoors, we interview a professional trapper from my home state of South Carolina. Bill Smith is owner and operator of Coastal Land and Wildlife Services in the low country of South Carolina and his profession is exactly what we described. Removing excess predators from the landscape. We discuss how he does this, with some trade secrets and some unique techniques he uses to catch coyotes and bobcats. We also discuss his transformation into a follower of Jesus.
