This week, I give a short talk on the lay of the land politically: what we’re up against as 2025 comes through the door. I talk about why it’s important not to just sit back as Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives form a majority government (as they appear likely to do), but to offer voters a real opportunity in as many districts as possible to vote for a candidate and a party that are 100% pro-life, 100% pro-traditional family values and 100% committed to defending freedom: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and freedom from skyrocketing debt and taxes. I also call on good members of the public to step forward as CHP candidates. One or two CHP Members of Parliament could make a huge difference in Ottawa . . . but to get there, we need as many candidates as possible challenging the status quo.

My guest this week is Dr. Kent Hovind, sometimes known as Dr. Dino. He’s been a high-school science and math teacher and now teaches the science of creationism to believers and skeptics alike. He’s a passionate Christian and links rejection of the biblical creation story to the degrading policies being promoted by so many politicians today. Dr. Hovind has participated in hundreds of creation / evolution debates and welcomes discussion with other scientists who still support undirected macro-evolution as the source of all our wonderful and diverse species.

My guest this week is Jeff Gunnarson, National President of Campaign Life Coalition. We discuss Justin Trudeau’s egregious attempt to destroy Canada’s Crisis Pregnancy Centres by taking away their charitable status—UNLESS they publicly list the services they DON’T provide . . . like abortion. These institutions are not taxpayer-funded, in most cases are run by volunteers and supported by charitable giving so that they can assist pregnant women and young moms as they navigate a challenging time in their lives. Mr. Trudeau’s attack on them is mean-spirited and needs to be stopped.

My guest this week is Helen Ward, President of the Kids First Parent Association of Canada. Helen shares with us the importance of the child-parent attachment that is strengthened when childcare is received at home, from one or both parents or another parent-figure. She also explains the high cost—both social and financial—of passing on those parental responsibilities and learning opportunities to paid childcare professionals, especially when that childcare is paid for by taxpayers and directed by government agencies. My guest this week is Dave Bylsma, former Mayor of West Lincoln, Ontario, former President of CHP Canada, former President of the Ontario CHP Council, eight-time CHP candidate, father of nine and grandfather of eight, successful businessman and man of integrity and principles. While Mayor during the covid era, Dave was unjustly charged in connection with speaking at a freedom event; just recently those charges were dropped as the prosecution finally came to the conclusion that there was no benefit in further court proceedings. We talk about that experience and some of the crazy contortions of local politicians who justified covid restrictions for others while ignoring them in their own circles.

Doug, for many years, has been inspiring and mobilizing Christians to get involved politically and to energetically do the things that God has called them to do to make Canada a better place to live. He discusses the four pillars—or principles—that motivate him and that he shares wherever he speaks. My guest this week is Irwin Jeffrey, CHP-BC candidate for the provincial electoral district of Skeena. He and I are representing the pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom cause in the BC provincial election campaign that ends this Saturday, October 19 (Final Voting Day). Irwin and I compare notes on the social values of BC voters as they grapple with such issues as Bill 36, carbon taxes, rebuilding the healthcare system destroyed by the NDP, SOGI in the classrooms and the life-and-death issues of abortion, doctor-assisted suicide (MAiD) and the epidemic of gender confusion leading to irreversible gender surgeries. She recently attended the CHP National Convention in Ancaster and is committed to serving as a candidate. My guest this week is Mr. Jim Bennett, Grassroots Director and Corporate Secretary for Americans for Fair Taxation. We discuss the concept of the Fair Tax as it is proposed by their organization in the USA and as it might be applied in Canada under CHP Canada’s policy proposal.
