Last year, when the Coronavirus was landing in our lives... I (Kate Lemay) was wearing Safety.... and I have not really said many things about our world since. I cancelled (the YMCA of Greater Boston’s Overnight) camps in 2020 and then I went quiet.

This episode packs a big punch.
It is a wee bit long, feel free to fast forward any parts that do not resonate. I will say, I personally found the entire show to be a power-packed bit of note-taking clarity.
We talk about how Practice is the sustained effort to rest in stillness. That we live in an unrelenting force of distraction and we balance out by our fierceness to (in one moment) choose to be the adult toward that distraction.
We can only grow in discomfort.

When the feeling in your heart is tangled and knotted, it’s important to allow yourself a calm knowing in the space of your heart.
Be in stillness in the heart. Untangle the strings by releasing each one, one by one. You will know when it’s untangled.

"The power center is when we're doing this work of transformation that you're talking about so much, and so beautifully. The good news is our power starts to become brighter immediately. It's not like we have to do all of our work in this world to completion in order to then be in our power. That's not how it is. It's like, pulling down the veil, or cleaning part of the windowpane.
"You may have this filter of patterning, but if we clean one spot, the light comes right through doesn't it? It lights up the whole room. It gives us some light, and we go, 'Oh, wow, let's clean that spot over here.' That process is joyous. It's an amazing process, and I just also want to say, we use that. If we're depleted in the third chakra, and we just clean one tiny bit of the windowpane, also, it may sound like there's something bad or dirty that needs to be purged. It's not a purge process, it's a curiosity process."

"When we work with non-attachment, we work on letting go of preferences, but let's not go there yet. Let's just say that, was it okay, was it safe for you, and this is a good reflection, as a child, were you really supported in figuring out who the heck you are, right? Do you like the color orange more than you like the color red? What's your favorite color? What's your favorite movie? What's your favorite food? What brings you pleasure? What are your likes and dislikes? What are your hobbies? What are you attracted to?
"Are these all quick answers for you that are very rooted and grounded? Or are they, 'Wait a minute,' there's a little mental confusion? 'I think maybe I like this, but I'm not sure if I should say that. Is that okay to say? Really, I should be liking this instead. What does everybody else like?' Those are indicative of when we go into mental inquiry, maybe a little TLC needed in second chakra, a little tender loving care, because it's safe to sit in second chakra, balance the left and right sides of the brain, become open and receptive to hear the divine gifts. Recognize that those are our divine gifts."
