Today we’re talking to business coach Brenda Rigney and her journey to helping women start their own businesses! You'll hear about balancing work, parenthood, transitioning from 9-5 to building your own biz, following someone else's career recipe and checklist, setting boundaries, being a leader, mother, getting clear on your own vision, values, your goals and responsibilities, feeling good about yourself, getting aligned in all areas of your life , burn out, questioning everything, what it really takes to self actualize, and so much more! Here’s a quick snapshot of Brenda's story!
“It took me 27 years of developing multi-million-dollar brands and CEOs—and one earth-shaking divorce—to finally go down that road.
I had to reset everything—starting with my health, that foreign word “boundaries,” and my vision for my own life—if I wanted to build a business that wasn’t just a repeat of the misaligned life I was so desperate to leave behind.
Since then, I’ve coached hundreds of successful women in their 40s, 50s, and older to help them do the same. Because the thing I'm 100% sure about is that the world needs way more successful, innovative, and unstoppable women in business.
I now work with midlife women business owners and emerging entrepreneurs to help them bring in $10K+ months doing what they love in one-to-one and group coaching experiences, and in my Aligned AF Community Membership."

Today you’ll hear from Vicki Campos-Dimmer about her career in Change Management.
Her transition into change management came at a critical juncture in her career. Coming off a recent downsizing of her department, as part of an organizational restructuring, Vicki did a deep dive into her desire and career aspirations to remain in the communication profession. She was very interested in expanding her skillset and had recently explored project management as a potential profession. In researching other potential career paths for someone with her background, she happened to discover change management. While exploring different career options that align with her background, she stumbled upon change management. The mix of communication, instructional design, training, and project management caught her eye. She saw it as a chance to use her 15+years of experience and at the same time, learn new things and grow in a direction she had never tried before. This unique combo gave Vicki the ability to use her skills and improve herself personally and professionally. One of the most significant factors in her successful transition to change management was working with a career coach. A career coach is much more than a resume writer, they can provide invaluable guidance to help identify your strengths and weaknesses, develop a career plan, and navigate the job search process. They also provided emotional support and accountability during many challenging times through the job search process and career transition. For anyone considering a career change, Vicki encourages you to consider working with a career coach. They can help you define your career goals, develop a strategy for achieving them, and overcome the obstacles that may arise along the way. With the right support, you can successfully transition to a new and rewarding career in change management. Vicki has been a change management consultant for the past 7 years and worked with many clients across various industries, helping them navigate organizational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, and technological transformations. She learned the importance of understanding stakeholders’ needs, effectively communicating change initiatives, managing resistance to change, and building a culture of transparency, open communication, and adaptability. For newcomers interested in pursuing a career in change management, Vicki highly recommends seeking out helpful resources and exploring the certification program that best fits your needs. The Prosci Change Practitioner certification is one of the most well-recognized. However, there are others that can also help you demonstrate your commitment to the field. She highly suggests you check out organizations like the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) and Change Management Institute for networking opportunities and access to professional development resources. If you are interested in connecting with Vicki, please send a request via LinkedIn and include a message, her LinkedIn profile is: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vcamposdimmer Resources Prosci is one of the most recognized change management methodologies. It uses a proven, people-focused change management approach to help guide organizations through their transformation initiatives. Visit www.prosci.com for information through its blogs, podcasts, webinars, etc. Prosci offers a three-day globally recognized certification course for those interested in becoming a Prosci Change Practitioner. Association of Change Management Professionals (www.acmpglobal.org) - ACMP® is a professional membership association dedicated to advancing the career growth of individuals and the effectiveness of organizations by advancing the discipline and practice of change management. They represent a global community of Change Management Practitioners and facilitate connections between this community and organizations of all sizes. They offer various classes and have a certification program for anyone interested in becoming a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP). An annual membership is around $199. Change Management Institute (www.change-management-institute.com) - the Change Management Institute is another change management professional organization. It offers many resources such as blogs, webinars, events, certifications, etc. to help change practitioners excel and stay at the top of their game. It offers a three-tier accreditation and uses its Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) as the basis of its accreditation program. It is the only professional change organization to take a competency-based approach to career pathing and accreditation.

I invite you to do this anytime you feel like somethings is missing or you feel off, or better yet even before you get to that place, before getting started with your day, meetings or interview. Always remember that you don't need anything, that any experience is an added bonus, but at the end of the day all that you do desire starts with how you feel inside out. I recorded it while on a walk, apologies for the background noises:) Visualization starts around 4 min in, would love to hear how it made you feel. With love, Baiba

Today we're talking to Tosca Fasso. Tosca is a former Fortune 100 executive who worked her way up the corporate ladder from administrative assistant to Wall Street executive. When she got her first management role at age 25, Tosca knew that creating a vision with a team, coaching them to succeed, and building a culture where team members actually liked and respected each other was her life’s work. Unfortunately, as she advanced in her career, she realized that she wasn't always able to do what was right for her team and that corporate policies are often hostile to employees. So, Tosca left her Wall Street position to launch Manager on a Mission, a management movement based on trust and empowerment instead of fear and intimidation. She now coaches people-focused leaders who know there’s a better way to manage teams but need just a little support to build the systems that are both good for people as well as profits. She is also the author of Not Safe For Work: A good manager's guide to better feeling work in a toxic culture. Tosca hosts the Manager on a Mission podcast and is also a volunteer career mentor, competitive karaoke champion, and intermediate adult figure skater. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her woodworker husband, two rescue Chihuahuas, and three parrots.
