Uttank Vora debuted in the Hindi film industry along with his elder brother, (late) Neeraj Vora as music composers Neeraj-Uttank. The movie was Pehla Nasha starring Dipak Tijori, Raveena Tandon and Pooja Bhatt. It was also the debut film of director Ashutosh Gowariker.
While recording Asha Bhosle for this film, Uttank said something during the take which was then corrected very nicely and politely by Ashaji. Narrated very well, the listeners will learn on how to deal with singers and musicians in the studio.
