This episode is a heartfelt prequel to next week’s powerful conversation with Kate Moryoussef, host of The ADHD Women’s Wellbeing Podcast - where they dive even deeper into the world of women, wellness and ADHD.
In this solo episode, La shares her own journey of being diagnosed with ADHD in midlife - a moment that brought both clarity and complexity.
After years of feeling “too much” or “not enough,” La finally had language for things like time blindness, emotional overwhelm and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD). This diagnosis became a lens through which she could finally understand her patterns, her pace and her power.
She opens up about the emotional rollercoaster that came with her late diagnosis and the importance of self-compassion, especially for women who have masked their symptoms for so long.
Key Takeaways:ADHD is often misunderstood, especially in women - and often misdiagnosed or missed entirely.A late diagnosis can bring up a mix of grief, relief and empowerment.Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) can shape how we show up in relationships and the world.Time blindness isn’t laziness - it’s a real and common ADHD experience.Self-compassion is not optional - it’s essential. No two ADHD journeys look the same.Understanding your ADHD is a game-changer for growth and healing. Many women feel shame or judgment for how their ADHD shows up.Community and open conversation are everything. And yes - ADHD brains are beautifully creative, intuitive and full of possibility. To Work with your Host:

Meditation: https://mailchi.mp/a8f6149bd8ba/complementary-meditation
Quantum Regression and Integration Therapy: https://mailchi.mp/27984331af78/bm6rduwaor
This conversation is a must-listen for anyone navigating chronic illness, emotional trauma or looking for hope and inspiration on their healing path.
In this deeply moving episode, I’m joined by Fiona, a woman who completely reversed all her MS symptoms after years of emotional trauma, workplace bullying, and even a suicide attempt. Her story is a testament to the body’s innate ability to heal — and the power we all hold within.
About Fiona
After gaining a first class honours degree in Life Sciences, Fiona worked in the food and environmental sciences industries as an analytical chemist. Following a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 1997 she found it difficult to remain in the laboratory due to increasing bullying.
Qualifying in Environmental Health and Safety, Fiona entered a new phase of her career, but found that bullying in the workplace did not go away and the concomitant stresses caused a worsening of her MS, eventually leading to the loss of two jobs on one day.
Fiona's health deteriorated after this, leading to her being virtually bedridden. However, Fiona did not give in. All this time the universe was telling Fiona she was doing the wrong thing but she didn't know that then. Initially looking for holistic solutions to help with her MS, she discovered so many healing modalities, and this led to Fiona training in a selection of complimentary therapies, from meditation, through hypnosis and NLP, to Quantum-Regression and Integration Therapy. Through these techniques Fiona regained her mobility, her strength and sense of purpose!
Fiona now works to help people over 50, particularly those who have been subject to workplace bullying, with her “Reclaim Your Power” process that transforms their mindset. She works by empowering people to be in control of their health and wellbeing. In addition to the “Reclaim Your Power” meditation, breathwork, journaling and sound healing work Fiona uses a mixture of modalities including Quantum Regression and Integration Therapy (Q-RIT) which uses a form of hypnosis. She also works instinctively by utilising her intuition about what would help the client most. Fiona is now a Master Practitioner and Trainer in Q-RIT.

In this incredibly important episode, the incomparable Elrina Pretorius shares her extraordinary story of how she overcame all of her MS symptoms to the degree that she doesn't even remember she has MS! She wants people to know that they have a choice and that healing is possible.
Over 20 years ago, Elrina was diagnosed with MS and told to expect a future of decline. But she wasn’t willing to accept that. She started digging - researching, questioning, and testing everything she could to understand what was really possible for her health. Through shifts in mindset, movement, nutrition, and lifestyle, she has remained relapse-free for over a decade and is living a full, active life.
Her journey also transformed how she approaches health—not just for herself, but for others. Trained as a physiotherapist, she later pursued acupuncture, neurology, and lifestyle medicine, completely rethinking the way chronic illness is treated. Studying acupuncture was a pivotal moment, opening her eyes to a whole-body approach that goes beyond just treating symptoms. Lifestyle medicine further reinforced how much power we actually have over our own health.
Today Elrina shares her insights, cutting through the fear and confusion around health. Whether it’s navigating a diagnosis, overcoming fatigue, or simply optimizing wellbeing, her approach is practical, relatable, and grounded in both science and real-life experience. She believes that with the right knowledge and tools, people can take back control of their health—and she’s here to help them do just that.
TO WORK WITH ELRINA:
Elrina believes that knowledge is power and through education and support her objective is to give her clients control back over their own health and quality of life.

In this episode, La is talking with the incredible Bella Chater - an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner specialising in emotional resilience, subconscious reprogramming, and somatic healing. With over a decade of experience using EFT, she helps individuals release emotional blocks, rewire limiting beliefs, and regulate their nervous system to create deep and lasting transformation
Her approach is holistic yet practical with a goal to help clients process emotional stress, reduce anxiety, and rewrite subconscious patterns at the root. Unlike traditional methods that focus on symptom management, Bella works on a somatic level, creating change not just on a mindset level but at a physiological and subconscious level. This means real shifts in how you think, feel, and automatically respond to stress, anxiety, and emotional triggers—helping you step into greater clarity, confidence, and resilience in both your personal and professional life.
How It Works:
EFT (Tapping) has been scientifically shown to reduce cortisol—the body’s main stress hormone—by up to 43% in just one session. Matrix Reimprinting goes even deeper, helping to rewire subconscious childhood imprints and replace outdated emotional patterns with empowering new ones. This approach is particularly effective for inner child healing, self-sabotage, and deeply ingrained limiting beliefs.

Do you find winter hard? Do you suffer with SAD or just get those January blues and can’t wait for it to be summertime again? Well, this is a lovely warm hug of an episode just for you!
In this life-affirming conversation with Suzy Reading, we explore the importance of self-care during the winter months and how to embrace winter as a wonderful, nurturing season, not just a season to ‘get through’.
Talking around Suzy’s latest book, Self-Care for Winter, we discuss the concept of wintering through self-care, its significance for mental and emotional health, and introduce a framework of seven gentle steps to nurture oneself through the challenges of winter. The discussion emphasises the need for connection with nature and ‘awe hunting’, the importance of comforting rituals and community, as well as the value of reflection as a means to foster well-being during the colder, darker months. Suzy demonstrates some practical exercises that take just moments to do but will completely lift your day.
Suzy’s concept of ‘Gentle January’ is a balanced approach to post-holiday wellness that ensures you are looking after yourself during the winter months and investing in your future self whilst doing so.

A big warm welcome to the very first episode of Cancer Cured Me!
Today, La kicks things off with a very special guest host - her long-suffering husband, Jason. Known for her love of a good chat (and her tendency to go off on tangents), La has enlisted Jason to keep her on track as they dive into all the big questions about her, the podcast, and the journey that inspired it.
This lighthearted and honest episode sets the stage for what Cancer Cured Me is all about - helping listeners get to know La, her story, and the uplifting, empowering content they can look forward to.
Here’s what Jason will be asking:
Who is La, and what’s the story behind her unique name? Why on earth call the podcast Cancer Cured Me? What does that mean? What inspired her to finally launch this podcast after dreaming about it for so long? What kind of guests and topics can we expect in future episodes? What’s the intention and purpose behind the podcast? With plenty of positivity and good vibes, this episode is the perfect introduction to your host and the vibrant energy she’s bringing to this podcast. Happy listening!
