In honor of Christmas, today’s episode is going to be one of my MOST popular that aired a few months ago!
This time of year is the perfect time to sit down and reflect on what went well, and what you want to improve upon for the coming year. I’ve found that being intentional and giving myself permission to do things differently is super important.
This has allowed me to create a business that is both enjoyable AND sustainable, which leads me to today’s topic!
One of the things I consistently share on Instagram is my monthly income report. You may have noticed that my income from 1-1 therapy clients isn’t as high as it used to be. In fact...it’s pretty low, which has led people to ask me WHY that is.
Well...that’s because I made the tough decision to see less therapy clients.
You may be thinking ‘why the heck would you do that?!”, or questioning if it’s possible for YOU to make 6 figures seeing 1-1 therapy clients.
I knew I wanted to dedicate an entire episode to this topic and talk more in depth about WHY I decided to see less therapy clients. Quite a bit has changed for me along the way, so let’s get into it!
In this episode, I cover:
My first year in private practice with ONLY1-1 therapy clientsWhat happened when my Instagram really took offMy major business growth in 2022 + what needed to change in 2023Why I intentionally chose to see less 1-1 therapy clients in 2023 and what this looked likeWhy you MUST give yourself permission to do what’s best for you and your businessConnect with Kelly:

I’ve got an important question for you…
When’s the last time you gave yourself a raise? Like...actually raised your therapy rates because you’re really freaking good at what you do??
You work very hard, and I know that you’re a therapist who cares about your clients. In order to be the best for them though, you must prioritize yourself. You deserve a business that will not only give you job satisfaction, but financial security and freedom, too!
In today’s episode, I’m answering the question ‘when should you raise your therapy rates’. I want to share some different scenarios with you, because I know this won’t look the same for everyone.
I hope this episode inspires you to raise your therapy rates in 2025. I would love to hear how you plan to do it, and please know, I’m ALWAYS cheering you on!!
In this episode, I cover:
Why you need to set yourself up for success BEFORE seeing clientsGiving yourself an annual raise, even when you’re happy with your current ratesWhat to do when you ‘undersold’ yourself, but need your business to be sustainableConnect with Kelly:

I started with ZERO followers. I’ve grown both of my Instagram accounts from 0 to 10k in under a year. It took a LOT of trial and error as I was growing my first therapy page (@sitwithkelly), and I for sure made my fair share of mistakes. All of my hard work and consistency helped me have an ‘easier’ experience with my second page.
I’ve learned sooo much along the way, but I’ve also been an Instagram therapist for 4 years now! If you’re a brand new therapist on Instagram (or even if you aren’t), I don’t want you to compare your journey to mine.
I want to share with you 9 key things that I would focus on, if I was starting over as a new Instagram therapist. Some of these items will take you more time than others (especially in the beginning). But...as you learn, you’ll get better and faster over time.

In today’s episode, I’m talking about the number one driver of results in my business. If I had to sum it up in one word, the number one driver of all my results in my business has been CONSISTENCY.
Consistency probably doesn’t mean (or even look) the same for everyone. I do believe that it’s crucial if you want to continue growing your private practice though! Consistency allows you to build trust and deepen relationships with your community, and get realllly good at one particular thing.
At the end of the day, showing up consistently on Instagram NEEDS to be a priority. This is the way you’re going to succeed in your business, and make more of a lasting impact with your ideal client!
In this episode, I cover:
What consistency looks like for me in MY businessReasons why consistency is so important in businessWhy showing up on Instagram consistently needs to be your priority + ways to do thisWhy you need to get really good at one thing before adding MORE to your plateConnect with Kelly:
