Episode 312: Does your coach roll you hard? But then insist you roll too hard? This was an awkward situation for a listener of the show and resulted in them changing gyms in order to keep improving. What is the right thing to do when your coach gives it but can not take it?
Do you use the smother choke from the back? Putting your hand over the nose and mouth of your training partner to get them to submit might be considered foul play but depending on your gym might be perfectly acceptable behaviour. Is it a legit technique or dirty move? Recently the ADCC Trials were completed in Brazil and the level of competition was exceptional, was it the hardest trials event ever and is this the hardest region to qualify in? JT & Joey debate where are the toughest competitors come from and the factors that make for the greatest pool of talent.

Episode 311: Do you love BJJ? Do you also love MMA? Which sport is more popular? Most will say MMA but how many people train for MMA and how many people train for BJJ. There are plenty of BJJ practitioners who are MMA fans - JT & Joey being some of them. But here is the point of conjecture ( specifically JT's point) BJJ will be bigger/ more popular than MMA very soon. He points to the recent birth of so many different live events paying grapplers $20,000- $50,000 which was un heard of 10 years ago.
