Elizabeth Rimmer, Chief Executive of LawCare, joined me to discuss the importance of mental health in the legal community and the challenges lawyers face.
In May 2024, Juro ran a survey of over 100+ in-house lawyers which found that over 50% had experienced burnout at some point in their career. Elizabeth and I discussed the factors that have contributed to this worrying level of burnout experienced by lawyers.
We then dove into what the recent technological developments could mean for the legal profession, discussing how AI offers lawyers a unique opportunity to work smarter and gain back time to support their mental health and wellbeing.
But is the legal profession prepared to change?
Let me know what you think of this episode in the comments and I’ll see you next time on Brief Encounters.
