TRAILERS, TRAILERS, & MORE TRAILERS!
We figured a news episode would be a nice buffer after the past few episodes. Unfortunately, everything under the sun decided to happen in the past week. Break out the popcorn, we're gonna be here for a bit again. Tune in as Alec and Brian go over recent news (including the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones), and all the trailers from the past week -- including PEACEMAKER Season 2, SPIDER-NOIR, IRONHEART, and SUPERMAN!

"WE OWN YOU NOW."
Back in 2022, it was announced that Phase 5 of the MCU would wrap up with an adaptation of Thunderbolts, seeming to be Marvel's answer to Suicide Squad. Very quickly, the team lineup left a lot to be desired, and as production kicked off, not many had faith in it reigniting the MCU. Several months of trailers and an entire movie later, it's safe to say a lot of us ate our words. The most unlikely group of anti-heroes have assembled to pull Marvel from the brink on the big screen, telling a beautifully painful story about loneliness and mental health, and we're here to delve into it all. So, tune in as Alec, Brian, and special guests Darby (@gwenstacying) and Trey (@HeyGuysItSpidey) dive into recent news and the biggest surprise hit Marvel's had in ages -- THUNDERBOLTS* (aka THE NEW AVENGERS)!

"THE ONLY THING I'VE EVER REALLY WANTED... WAS TO BE UNDERSTOOD."
After working on Gravity Falls, writer and artist Dana Terrace looked to produce her own off-the-wall animated series about the supernatural. After many revisions, the show would finally premiere in 2020 -- quite literally changing the game for animated kids' shows and queer/neurodivergent rep (much to the chagrin of Disney). While it didn't get to end the way it wanted to, thanks to certain suits who didn't believe the data that it was successful, it still managed to end with a bang. Two out of three people today watched it along the way. One of them just finished it three weeks ago. Time to yap. Tune in as Alec, Brian, and special guest Darby (@gwenstacying) talk about one of their favorite animated shows of all time -- THE OWL HOUSE!

WE DID IT AGAIN.
Once again, we are doing an episode with one of our friends. And once again, we have to split the news section into its own episode. Tale as old as time, etc. Tune in as Alec, Brian, and special guest Darby (@gwenstacying) go over recent news from the past week, from Star Wars Celebration, to WrestleMania, to trailers for Doom: The Dark Ages, Ghost of Yōtei, and Predator: Badlands!

"WE ARE THE CITY WITHOUT FEAR."
In 2021, three years after the final season and cancellation of Daredevil, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio returned as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. In 2022, four years after said season and cancellation, a new revival series was announced. In 2023, five years after, the crash and burn of the original production ensued, causing a complete creative overhaul not just for the series itself, but the whole of Marvel Television. And now, nearly seven years on from A New Napkin and over three years on from Hawkeye and No Way Home, a new season of the Man Without Fear is here. So, did it come out of the cutting room unscathed? Tune in to find out as Alec and Brian discuss recent news (such as the new Fantastic Four trailer) and dive into a massive spoiler-filled discussion of DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN - Season One!

"YOU DON'T GET TO DESTROY WHO I AM."
After the Devil of Hell's Kitchen's second season released, the Netflix corner of the MCU was on a bit of a downturn. While there were fan-favorite highlights such as Luke Cage Season Two and The Punisher Season One, others such as the former's first season, Jessica Jones Season Two, all of Iron Fist, and -- arguably most disappointing of all -- The Defenders, it seemed like this side of the MCU was doomed to fizzle entirely. When the Man Without Fear's third season was set to come out, many worried it would suffer that same fate. Probably why it was all the more surprising that it not only turned out to be the best season of the show, but arguably the best season of live action comic book television overall. So, how does it hold up? Tune in to find out as Alec and Brian take a look at the third and (technically not, thank god) final season of Marvel's DAREDEVIL!

"YOU KNOW YOU'RE ONLY ONE BAD DAY AWAY FROM BEING ME..."
After the monumental success of Season One changed the game for comic book and streaming television, the Man Without Fear was immediately fast-tracked for a second. This one aimed to be even bigger and better, with the Punisher, Elektra, and the Hand being brought in as the major storylines, with the latter further setting up the eventual Defenders crossover. What resulted was that same fantastic show we knew and loved battling against an unbalanced story, bizarre pacing, and most baffling of all -- an executive producer's bigoted knee-capping of the very story he pushed to set up. So, tune in as Alec and Brian look back on the good, the bad, and the Loebly of Marvel's DAREDEVIL: Season Two!
-
"THIS IS MY CITY. MY FAMILY."
Back in 2013, streaming-exclusive shows were slowly beginning to take off, and Marvel wanted in on the potential boom. A deal was struck, and Netflix was contracted to make shows about a few select street level characters that would later have their own low-scale crossover event. First up was the man without fear, Daredevil. After his failed cinematic outing in 2003, not many people knew what to expect from this show. What we got on April 10th, 2015 was the beginning of what could very well be considered the greatest live action comic adaptation of all time. So, how does it hold up? Tune in to find out as Alec and Brian discuss recent news and begin their retrospective of the Devil of Hell's Kitchen with DAREDEVIL: SEASON ONE!

"F#$% THEM KIDS." - JOHN CENA, 2025.
It's been about a month since we last recorded an episode of the main show, and a whole lot of things have happened since then. Some utterly predictable, some we never saw coming, and some that prove that Hell can indeed freeze over. So, tune in as Alec and Brian talk about as much pop culture news as they can in under five hours, including the announcements of Starfire! and My Adventures with Green Lantern, the Punisher special presentation, the new Doctor Who and Devil May Cry trailers, John Cena's infamous heel turn, and our thoughts on the first four episodes of Daredevil: Born Again!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Just over three years ago, Marvel announced an all-new show about Spider-Man adjacent to the MCU. After creative shifts, numerous layoffs, a slashed animation division, a CEO ousting, a restarted production, a title change, and one empty-headed f#@$ing dumbf#@$ nearly derailing it all a day before its premiere, the first season is finally out in its entirety. So, what do we think? Tune in to find out as Alec, Brian, Darby (@gwenstacying), and Trey (@HeyGuysItSpidey) go all-in on Season 1 of YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN, as well as what's in store for Season 2!
-
WARNING: EXCESSIVE YAPPING!
We had planned on doing one episode covering both recent news and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, but alas, double the hosts double the fun. So, tune in as Alec, Brian, Darby (@gwenstacying), and Trey (@HeyGuysItSpidey) discuss recent news such as trailers for THE FANTASTIC FOUR and THUNDERBOLTS*, as well as announcements such as the new Gwenpool and AVATAR: SEVEN HAVENS!

"HOW DID IT COME TO THIS -- KILLING PEOPLE AND STEALING THEIR MONEY?"
If you told us ten years ago that an animated show based on League of Legends would release and be regarded as one of the most popular and well-regarded shows of the early 2020's, we would've had you admitted. Yet somehow, that very reality came to pass. Initially premiering in 2021, Arcane came in hot as one of the most popular shows of the year, and people could only imagine how things would play out in the seasons to come. In 2024, they got their answer as the show premiered its (shockingly) final season, creating one of the most divisive conclusions in recent memory. So, where do we lie? Come join Alec, Brian, and special guest Darby (@gwenstacying) to find out as they take a look at the good, the bad, and the imagination requirements of one of the biggest animated shows of all time -- ARCANE!

HERE'S TO ANOTHER YEAR OF FAKE RUMORS AND DISCOURSE!
Happy belated 2025 everyone! While these first few months will be sparse for the main show, we will ensure the episodes we do manage to get out are jam-packed! Case in point, we have missed out on four weeks of news, and we're gonna cover as much of it as possible to the best of our ability. So, tune in as Alec and Brian ring in the new year as they discuss recent happenings in the world of entertainment such as The Batman Part II's delay, Sony's movie restructuring, Nintendo Switch 2, and the long-awaited trailers for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Daredevil: Born Again!
-

"LAUGH HARD. RUN FAST. BE KIND."
Boulder Pitch is BACK, and we got a very special episode in store. We've both been fans of Doctor Who forever, we've covered it on both shows, and we've discussed certain ideas of what we'd want to see from it. So, we figured it was high time to do our hardest pitches yet. Tune in as Brian and Alec celebrate a belated Doctor Who Day by sharing their pitches for their own takes and eras on everyone's favorite Time Lord!

"IT IS FAMILY. IT IS PERFECT."
Ever since the finale of its second season in July, the boys have been missing their favorite take on the big blue boy scout. Thankfully, the official tie-in comic has finally reached its end, giving them a chance to finally scratch that Kryptonian itch. We're back from our hiatus, and a whole lot's happened since our last episode. So, time for another news round-up in the midst of uncertain scary times. Come join Alec and Brian as they dig into new trailers, info, and comics from the past two weeks, including Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Superman!

THANK YOU FOR TWO YEARS AND A HUNDRED EPISODES!
So hard to believe that it's been this long since we first uploaded The Bad, Bad Summer. Thank you guys for sticking with us! To celebrate, it's time to take a look at some divisive trash again. The Venom films have garnered a "so bad it's good" cult following over the years, due in large part to Eddie and the symbiote's dynamic and the weird, off-the-wall style of comedy. But with the new installment touting the end of their journey, have they been able to reach beyond that, or have the foundations crumbled beneath them? Tune in to find out as Brian, Alec, and special guest Trey (@HeyGuysItSpidey) celebrate 100 episodes of Boulder Punch by diving into a spoiler-filled discussion of VENOM: THE LAST DANCE!
-
EDDIE BROCK. THE MAN OF A THOUSAND SECOND CHANCES. THE COMEBACK KING.
With The Last Dance less than a week away, and seemingly adapting several aspects from it, the boys figured it was high time to delve into Eddie Brock's best comic run. When the book started in 2018, not many people knew what to expect, but what transpired over the next three years would define the character and the symbiotes forever. So, tune in as Alec and Brian look back at one of their favorite runs of all time -- VENOM by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman!
