The US Canada relatonship is going to get frostier than ever as the word is out that many of those being removed from the USA might be relocating to Canada. A strong and recently elected US government is going to square off with a weak and utterly unpopular Canadian government and its 10 year old leadership. A politiclly deadly combo of trade irritations and border security is going to be tough sledding for the tired and inept Trudeau team. Canadians have been led to believe by Trudeau that until Trump won the election he was a threat to democracy and bordered on fascism. Now the same Trudeau will have to kiss up to Trump which is unlikely to work. Buckle up Canada.

Tom and Bob talk about the daily tribulations of life in our time. The disaster that has befallen the people of western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee and the toll in human lives. Observations about the heroism of those who have come to help and the incompetence of the many in government who have failed their citizens. How there is money for endless wars but not enough for disaster victims or seniors. How the supply chain and those involved are becoming the problem not the solution.

Election fever grips the United States with assassination plots being uncovered by the authorities. Alleged corruption and incompetence grips Canada with allegedly eleven MP’s suspected of being traitors . Germany Norway and Sweden have had enough migrants even if they are claiming to be refugees. They want them to go home. The war in Ukraine and Gaza/Lebanon drags on with thousands dying while Secretary Blinken keeps saying a peace is coming in the Middle East and arms are going to Ukraine.
Missing from today’s podcast are quotes from George Orwell “The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it”. and Adolphus Huxley “People will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think”.
We will look at them in the context of the authoritarian and fascist tendencies of some leaders in the G7/EU constellation in the next Edition of the BORDERPOL Journal.

The US election. The impeachment of Macron of France. The end of Volkswagen as we knew it. The antics of Canada’s Parliamentarians. The endless wars run by the same people. The disinterest of 8/10’s of the worlds people of what the G7 do. Bob and Tom do a light hearted chat about goings on this week.

Our podcast theme this week is called the Five I's which affect our lives at the moment. Inflation, interest rates, immigration, indifference and incompetence. The other is our unequivocal condemnation of violence created by or directed towards any group or individual for any reason. The the justice and law enforcement community needs to be even handed on that or risk letting extremists left or right rule the conversation to the detriment of all. At the moment it appears to many to be not only unprincipled but cowardly in the face of criminality when race gender or religion is thelocus of attention.

A week for the political history books. Is hope and change on the agenda or just on the horizon? Is gaslighting by politicians all that ordinary folks in Canada and USA can expect from the current leaderships?

The week has been awful for the neoliberals. From from Joe Biden’s disastrous debate, to Emmanuel Macron’s messy election to Rishi Sunak’s utter dismissal from power.
The economies of the G7 are gasping for air as inflation, deficits and interest rates eat away at any improvements to the standard of living the people expect. The upstart BRICS conglomeration has a much larger combined economy.
The war mongers are recognizing that the global south and the majority of planets population care little for the messes they have created in the middle east and in eastern Europe.
The three politicians in the above photo are examples of the leadership failure in New Zealand the author of the current mess in France and the architect of the future upheavals to come in Canada. Looks like more of this to come.

Bob Dunlop and Tom Tass review the week past and in particular note that there are many reveals about the state of the ecomomy and the impact of politics over the past few years. In Canada a by-election proved that the current leadership is NOT invincible at the polls. The Trump Biden debate is going to either a big deal or no deal at all. Police are looking to be policy makers as opposed to carrying out the law without fear or favor. The calamity that is unwelome newcomers in the form of inivited and ungrateful migrants continues unabated in the Americas and Europe while the American/NATO proxy war in Ukraine and desrtuction of Gaza by Isreal continues.
But the good news is people are speaking out in great numbers. Jullian Assange is free and the world has not evaporated as some climate crackpots would have us believe.

"On September 7, 2023 the Government of Canada established the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions. Justice Marie-Josée Hogue, a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal, was appointed Commissioner." Now the same government of Canada under Justin Trudeau will not reveal the culprits named in the report because it may well indict him and his government. This is a scandal of toxic proportions.

The BORDERPOL Journal recalls Radio Free Europe. They poked through the Iron Curtain with short wave radio broadcasts. For uncensored views and commentary on the world we live in we are the “in sound from outside” poking through the internet curtains of the legacy platforms that practice censorship just like in Soviet times. History repeats itself with Censorship and Authoritarianism. We report - You decide!

Season 3 Episode 18 "Majority Report" Looking back at history and remembering predictions by Dr. Ravi Batra "The Great Depression of 1990" in the 80's. Reviewing recent authors such as Garry Clement, former National Director for the RCMP, his new book: Under Cover: Inside the Shady World of Organized Crime and the RCMP which calls for a complete revamping of the culture of federal policing. Also musing about how western society particularly that of the United States, Canada and the rest of the Anglosphere are exporting lots of lifestyle ideas and Hollywood hedonist, gender bending cultures but its industrial productivity is declining in the export of “things” that the rest of the world is interested in buying. The majority of the worlds nations are now trading multilaterally rather than hubbing and spokeing with the G7 and using the the US dollar as the reserve currency. The world outside of the G7 is changing at a breathtaking pace and is scarcely noticing the societal and economic implosions taking place in the Anglosphere.

The boys have fun with "Stupid News of the Week" where car thieves are punished by having their driving license taken away.
More seriously the migration policy of Canada that is turning people against each other for what is clearly for political purposes by the Liberal government.

Thomas Tass and Robert Dunlop discuss the weeks events and determine that the amateurish approach to serious social and economic issues by senior leaderships in government and academia is not serving anyone well. Coupled with corruption that seems to be all too commonplace, the future is not too encouraging until some adults come forward.

What is going on? edition. Is it us or is it them that don't get it? Is it the best of times or the worst of times? Does money grow on trees? Has the governments of Canada and the USA been complacent in creating wealth or destroying it?

The boys did this episode live during the eclipse and survived! Comparisons were made in a parody segment comparing the event with Y2K hoopla 24 years ago. Serious discussions around the decay of police standards and political interference in provincial and municipal affairs now standard practice by the current federal leadership. They also commented on the US Treasury Secretaries trip to China and America's bizarre official admonishment of their industrial successes.
