  • Join Caz and Loz for this Series Finale of Bloody Britain and are we going out on a big case, the case of Dennis 'Des' Nilsen.

For 4 years from 1979 Des killed up to 15 or 16 young men and boys and was eventually only stopped when he blocked up the drains in his flat by attempting to dispose of human remains down his toilet.

As the police investigated the crimes they discovered he had been getting away with murder for years and had killed so many people that he couldn't even remember the precise amount. Dennis had very rare kink in his sexuality, he was a necrophiliac, and was only sexually aroused by the dead.

Des was convicted of several murders and spent the rest of his life in prison.

We hope you have enjoyed this series of crimes that took place in the UK and we will be back for Series 7 soon.

  • Hey y'all, welcome and join us, Cazza and Lozza as we take a look at when celebs screw up.

This week we are taking a light hearted look at the times some of the worlds biggest stars have ended up doing community service for misdemeanours. For instance, we look at the time when George Michael's Range Rover ploughed into a Snappy Snaps photo shop and the infamous events in the Hollywood hills, when Hugh Grant was arrested for getting a bit frisky in his car with a sex worker.

And who can forget the fashion show put on by Naomi Campbell at her designated community service destination - the New York City refuse department.

  • Welcome to this week's episode, the case of the murder of Rachel Manning and the miscarriage of justice that followed.

On a cold December evening in the year 2000 a young couple, Rachel and Barri had been to Barri's mum's 40th birthday party and then went out clubbing in town, after.

In traditional style the evening ended with a kebab and a punch up before they went their separate ways home. Within an hour Barri received a phone call from Rachel, asking him for a lift as she was lost and was having difficulty getting a cab. Little did Barri know that this was the last time he would ever hear Rachel's voice, as shortly after she was abducted and murdered in a random attack, her body being found two days later.

This was the beginning of a living nightmare for Barri and his friend Keith, who very shortly after would find themselves prime suspects for the brutal crime.

Horrifyingly the pair were convicted and sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit on very little evidence.

In despair Keith wrote to everyone he could think of for help, including the BBC program, Rough Justice.

The team took on the case and after many years they finally managed to get the conviction overturned and the men walked free as innocent men. But if they hadn't killed Rachel then who had?

Listen this week as Loz and Caz reveal the astonishing details behind this miscarriage of justice case.

  • Back in the 1980's Sunday night telly was dominated by the darts gameshow, Bullseye where contestants would play darts and answer questions in an attempt to win cash prizes and the jackpot prize of a speedboat or a car. In May 1989 a contestant from Pembrokeshire, Wales called John Cooper appeared, talking about his hobby of scuba diving around the gorgeous coastline. Sporting a truly incredible mullet, John and his team mate walked away empty handed that day, returning to their normal lives having experienced their 15 minutes of fame.

The idyllic area of Pembrokeshire hid the fact that there had been a number of shocking and brutal crimes over the years including murder, robbery and rape.

As the years went by a cold case team resurrected the unsolved cases and in 2006 began Operation Ottowa, determined to find the person responsible for two double murders.

Thanks to advances in forensic technology and fastidious police work the net began to close around John Cooper. However the final piece of the jigsaw came when producers of Bullseye came forward with footage of Cooper and how he would have looked the day of the murders according to an eyewitness.

Join your girls this week for a brilliant case that grew in infamy when it was made into the mini series The Pembrokeshire Murders.

  • NEW UPLOAD SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE 2PM

This week's episode is the case of one of the biggest and public manhunts in modern British history, the hunt for Raoul Moat.

When Raoul Moat was released from Durham prison in July 2010 little did the authorities know what hell would be unleashed for the local community. For Moat had a plan, a terrible plan to exact revenge on his ex-girlfriend, her new partner and the Northumbria police force.

Two days after his release he stalked and shot Samantha, the mother of his daughter, almost killing her and killing Samantha's partner, Chris Brown.

He then went on to declare war on the police and shot traffic officer, PC David Rathband in the face.

Moat fled to the picturesque town of Rothbury, 30 miles north of Newcastle, nestled in the Northumberland national park.

What followed then was nothing short of real-time updates as the worlds media descended on the small town, providing minute-by-minute news coverage of the biggest manhunt in recent British history.

After some days of being on the run, Moat was finally cornered and as the eyes of the world turned to watch the conclusion, there could only ever be one fatal outcome...

  • Hello and welcome to episode 7 of Bloody Britain and this week please allow Caz and Loz to take you back to Blitz torn London.

The year is 1942 and Hitler is doing his best to annihilate Great Britain, with a relentless bombing campaign, known as 'The Blitz'. Londoners had to keep lighting to a minimum and everyone was ordered to keep the City of London in total darkness, so as to not create an obvious target for the Luftwaffe. Of course, total darkness is a criminals dream come true and domestic crime soared during this period.

And for one week in February that year, the iconic streets of London's West End were stalked by a predator known as the Blackout Ripper. No woman was safe and in a very short amount of time the culprit, a fighter pilot called Gordon Cummins, would take the lives of four women and attack two more.

    We hope you enjoy this week's case L & C 💙💙

  • This week's episode is all about the case of the murders of the Bamber family at their home, White House Farm.

It was the 1980's the time of the hedonistic Yuppy, where wealth was flashed and 'greed was good'. The adoptive son of the respectable Neville and June Bamber, Jeremy, was surely the quintessential city boy, rich, good looking, popular and charismatic. His sister, Sheila was a beautiful model, and mother of twin boys and was also part of the London party scene.

Life appeared good for the Bamber family, at least on the surface, however underneath it all there lied mental illness, conflict and jealousy.

One fateful August evening Jeremy received a frantic phone call from his father, begging for help as Sheila had gone mad with a shotgun at the farmhouse. When the police finally made their way inside it was a bloodbath, every single member of the family had been shot dead, including Sheila's twin sons and then it appeared that in a final act of desperation, Sheila had turned the gun on herself. The police quickly came to the conclusion of a murder - suicide, the tragic result of her psychological difficulties.

Not long after the funeral, suspicions surrounding Jeremy grew until eventually he would be charged and convicted of the murders at the farmhouse. He remains in jail until this day and still protests his innocence, claiming to be a victim of injustice.

Caz and Loz investigate this most complex case and ask, what do you think happened at White House Farm?

  • Arguably, Peter Manuel was Scotland's first widely known serial killer and one of the last men to be hung for his crimes.

Join us this week as Lozza and Cazza cover this case from the 1950's. It is a most heinous story of crime, robbery, murder.... and bizarrely, tinned fruit.

Peter Manuel killed multiple young women and families and got away with it for far too long with help from his father who again and again alibied him. In the age old debate of nature vs nurture we think this is absolutely nature and that he was born bad.

  • Happy New Year you beautiful lot, we are gifting you a previously patreon exclusive. Peter Nielsen -The air traffic controller. Peter went to work as usual but that was the only usual thing about this case. this is a case of air travel going wrong and the butterfly effect that came from it. Your Girl Lozza has picked a beaut of a subject for this weeks case. back in 2000's and over worked air traffic controller called Peter Nielsen was responsible for over 70 deaths when two aircraft collided mid-air. this tragedy would turn lead to more death and carnage when a surviving family member decided to take the law into his own hands and was even awarded for it!

  • Hello you lovely supporters of our podcast, as a gift for Christmas here is the previously exclusive Patreon episode of the astonishing case of Rodney Alcala, AKA the Dating Game killer.

In the 1970's Alcala would commit many violent and often fatal attacks on women and girls across America.  During the height of his crimes he appeared as 'Bachelor number 1' on the hit TV show, The Dating Game, and he even won!  However his date on the show, Cheryl Bradshaw, refused to attend the tennis lesson date they had won as she found Rodney too creepy... how astute her intuition turned out to be.

In 1979 he was captured and found guilty of murdering a 12 year old girl and he lived out the rest of his life behind bars.  This would transpire to be very fortunate because as the turn of the 21st century brought about new forensics, including DNA profiling, he would be charged with and convicted of five more murders.

    Merry Christmas you beautiful people!

  • Hello and welcome to episode 2 of Bloody Britain, where all of the cases are from the UK.

This week we discuss and investigate the case of 22 year old David Copeland who carried out a series of bombings in central London in April 1999.  With his right-wing views he was on a one-man mission to cause fear and division in the  diverse communities of London's minority population.

He successfully manufactured and detonated three bombs over three weeks, first in Brixton, South London then Brick Lane, East London and finally Soho in London's West End.  At the time any of London's minority groups felt they could be next and all Londoners were on high alert, always vigilant and fearing the worst.

Lozza and Cazza delve into what happened from the view of eyewitnesses and how the perpetrator was caught.

  • Aaaaaaaaaand we're back baby for series 6!

If you have followed our true crime podcast up to now you will know we love a theme so this series theme is called Bloody Britain as all of our cases will be from the UK.

So we have begun the series, following on from our Blue Murder Talks with DCI Colin Sutton, with the case of Levi Bellfield.

Bellfield was a violent criminal long before he was apprehended, with a history of violence against women and men, drug dealing, extortion, the list went on and on.  His is the terrifying tale of how his temper grew so out of control that he became one the UK's most vicious and prevalent serial killers.

In the episode we remember the young victims whose lives were cut tragically short by this brutal killer and hear the stories of the brave young women who survived and how through their brave recollections and testimonies, saw him brought to justice and placed behind bars where he can never hurt anyone again.

This is a brilliant episode where we get the chance to discuss crime and criminality, law and order with one of the brave people who make up our police force.

Leon discusses how he became a cop and a bit of what it's like to be in the front line, day in, day out and believe us, it is a fascinating listen.
