I tossed around several ideas, I considered doing a Metal music episode, but we've just done a music ep, and I thought "what else could we jam with Mexi about", and given that I just had a celebratory (and masturbatory) Thane audiobook episode, let's take me down a peg and make fun of the videos we all made together fifteen years ago. And along the way, we'll share a little love for the first fan Pantsless Shorts ever had who wasn't family or friends and his OUTSTANDING album and single release.
Game 1 - ROAST BATTLEI'll bring up five (I will NOT use the term 'classic') Pantsless Shorts videos we made together, and we'll talk about what it was like to make them, and I'll give my players the opportunity to roast the video. If your savage roast gets a laugh out of me, you earn a point for that video. Players keep their points into the remaining games.
Game 2 - PITCH ME BABY ONE MORE TIMEI'm not going to resurrect Pantsless Shorts. But if I did, what video do you wish we had made? I want each player to pitch me either a Pantsless Shorts sketch, or a Save Files video about a video game, series, or system, or an It's Stevie episode. Instead of choosing the best like usual, I'll give each pitch a score from 1-5 points.
Game 3 - PANTSLESS SHORTS, LOADING READY RUN, OR SOMETHING ELSE?Pantsless Shorts was heavily inspired by early internet sketch comedy troupe Loading Ready Run, but can our players tell the difference? I've got ten lines, and all our players have to do is tell me, is that line from a Pantsless Shorts video, a Loading Ready Run video, or a third option? The third option will be different for every line. After all ten lines, the player with the most points gained over the course of the episode will be declared the winner.

This week the BFYTW studio is graced with the pressence of two professional voice actors. Aaron hosts three games based around voice acting and his novel Thane between two teams. VO Artist David Autovino paired with Stevie, and Voice Actor Caroline Orejuela partnered with Augie.
Game 1 - Ask the Author
In what I can only describe as a PROFOUND and unnecessary ego trip, I want our players to take turns asking me any question they want about Thane. I'll answer every question as honestly as I can, my favorite question after two or three go-arounds (depending on time) will earn their team one episode point.
Game 2 - Voice Acting Challenge
I have a few short passages of the worst dialogue you've ever seen, and I'm going to have our non-voice actors, Stevie and Augie, give their best vocal performance in a style of my choosing. Their partner will have to coach them to improve their performance, and they'll perform a second time. I'll give their second performance a score of 1-5 points, and the team with the most points after two readings each will win the challenge and earn two episode points.
Game 3 - Thane, Zero Escape, or Something Else?
Thane takes a lot of inspiration from the visual novel/escape room simulator game series Zero Escape, but can you tell the difference? I've got ten lines here, and all you have to do is tell me whether they come from Thane, Zero Escape, or something else entirely. To confuse matters further, I wanted to have Seth MacFarlane read all of the lines as Peter Griffin from Family Guy, but Mr. MacFarlane is very busy, and also we couldn't afford him. So instead I've asked Casey P. from Fiverr to do his best Peter Griffin impression as he reads the lines. The team who gets the most correct after all ten lines wins the game and gets three episode points.

On this week's episode of BFYTW, we are joined by fellow OddPods podcasters Lauren and Russ from Beer'd Al and The Infectious Groove shows.
Game 1 - Get to the Kareoke Bar!
When I think of 80's music, I think of icons, and one of the biggest icons of the eighties has to be its greatest action star, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sadly, he's too busy to appear on the show, and we couldn't afford him anyway.
So instead we're going to have a fake text-to-speech Arnold Schwarzenegger program (and I need to be absolutely clear here for legal reasons, this is 100% NOT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, it's a fake) read out lyrics to ten songs. Guess the song, and earn a point, but get it wrong, and the other team will have a chance to steal the point. The team with the most points after all ten songs wins the game and earns one episode point.
Game 2 - Pitch Me Baby One More Time
I got to thinking the other day that a lot of great 80's music didn't get a great music video to go with it. Videos were only just becoming all the rage, but some songs got left out. And as I have lots of money, and very little common sense, I'd like to buy the rights to these songs and release new videos for them. I want each of you to pitch me a classic 80's song that does not have an iconic music video, and describe to me the music video that it deserves to have. Best pitch wins the game and earns two episode points for their team.
Game 3 - The Rules of the Game (80's Music Edition)
Our players are going to play a game that they don't know the rules to. As they play they'll earn points, but if any player can guess the rules of the game before the game ends, they'll earn a bonus ten points, and continue playing. At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins and earns three episode points.

Game 1 - Being Aaroned
I've got five pairs of things, all our players have to do is tell me which one of the two is real, and if they're correct, they'll get a point - BUT - at least once during the game, BOTH items will be real, this is called being Aaroned. If a team can successfully guess when they're being Aaroned, they will earn TWO points. The team with the most points after all five pairs will win the game and earn one episode point.
Game 2 - Finish the Story
I've got five stories of real things that happened during radio shows, but I'm going to leave the story incomplete - each player will have to finish the story themselves, and the funniest answer gets a point, but you can also get a point by finishing the story correctly. The team with the most points after five stories wins and earns two episode points.
Game 3 - Lightning Round
With full and original credit to The Gateleapers, this round is a rapid-fire trivia test about wider pop-culture knowledge that is adjacent to morning radio - we'll be testing a new buzzer system, so please have your phones ready to play!

This week we are joined by Proper Rumpus Alumni CJ (DJ Xanthus) and Jabbo (TJ) to play some games around Streaming.
Game 1: Being Aaroned
I'm going to give both teams five sets of two items, and the teams will have to decide which of the two is true, and if they're correct, they'll get a point - HOWEVER - at least once during the game, BOTH items will be true, this is called being Aaroned - if a team correctly identifies that they've been Aaroned, they'll get TWO points. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins and gets one episode point.
Game 2: Pitch Me Baby One More Time
It has become very clear to me that having a bizarre gimmick and working it well can be very lucrative in streaming, and as an investor, I'm looking for the next big thing. So I want each contestant on both teams to pitch me a batshit insane streaming gimmick that you think is going to get attention in an internet where everybody is fighting to get attention. Best pitch wins the game for their team and earns two episode points.
Game 3: Streamer Pyramid
Borrowing a game from the Gateleapers PC Gaming episode, I'm going to give each player seven video game titles - they then have two minutes to get their partner to guess as many video games from that list as they can by describing them, but there's a twist - the cluegiver must be pretending they are streaming the game and just talking to their audience the whole time. If the cluegiver says any part of the title (excluding a, an, the) or fails to convince me they are pretending to stream, that clue is disqualified, and you'll have to move onto the next. After all four players have done their list, the team with the most points wins the game and earns three episode points.

Episode 207 - Game Shows with the Gateleapers
As a huge fan of Gateleapers, I want to showcase what an episode of Gateleapers is like for our listeners, so we're going to play three games that are very similar to Gateleapers games, because what's more American than taking British ideas and making them worse? I hope the end result is much like a shorter, quicker episode of Gateleapers with the added benefit of giving Matt a taste of his own medicine.
Game 1 - The Big Board
This is a trivia game with a board of 12 questions segmented into tiers of difficulty, there are four $1,000-Tier questions, these are the easiest and worth 1 point each.
There are four $32,000-Tier questions, these are medium difficulty and 2 points each.
And finally, four Million-Dollar-Tier questions, these are hard difficulty and 3 points each.
Teams will take turns choosing and answering questions until we've done all twelve.
Game 2 - Play Your Cards Right
This is a trivia/intuition game. The team in 2nd place will choose from one of two categories, and we'll start by asking them to bid on the first item. If they're within a certain range, they'll earn a point. Every item after that, they'll need to say whether the value is higher or lower than the previous item, and they'll earn a point for each correct guess, and a bonus point if they can get the value exactly right. The game ends after both teams have tackled a list of seven items.
Game 3 - Quickfire Round
This is a trivia game where the clues will come fast and furious, and players will have to buzz in by shouting their team name. (The internet lag for the Gateleapers should be offset by how stoned Stevie and Augie are) There's a point for each correct answer, and the team with the most points when the buzzer sounds is our winner.

Game 2 - Being Aaroned
I've got pairs of facts, and all you have to do is tell me which of the two is true - except, it's possible that both are true, in which case, you're being Aaroned. For each correct guess, you'll earn a point, but if you successfully guess that you're being Aaroned, you'll earn two points. Most points at the end of the game wins and earns two episode points.
Game 3 - Make it Worse
I've got five things, and I'll tell our players to make these things worse, one increment at a time, and players must escalate the worsening and avoid repetition or iteration every time to stay in the game. First player to fail loses that item to their opponent, first player to three items wins and gets three points.

Video Version EPISODE 205 - Spicy and Crunchy
Game 1 - Broken Headlines
I'll give our players three headlines with the important words redacted, they'll fill in the blanks themselves, and can earn a point by getting close enough to the right headline OR by making me laugh. Unlike other episodes, these points are full episode points.
Game 2 - Being Stevie'd
Stevie will take over hosting and I'll take Stevie's place as contestant as he tries to fake us out. Are the items he's listing real? Or are you being Stevied? Again, points contribute to your total score.
Game 3 - Make It Worse
Aaron resumes hosting and will make our players take an object, person, or idea and make it worse. There are three rules. First, worsenings must escalate - your worsening must be worse than the worsening before yours. If I judge your worsening isn't worse than the one before you, you're eliminated. Second, no iterations - your worsening must be a different KIND of worsening than all those done to that point, for example, if Stevie makes Orgasms worse by saying instead of sperm, you ejaculate dust, if Augie then says instead of sperm, you ejaculate spikes, Augie is eliminated for iterating on Stevie's worsening. Third and finally, every successful worsening adds a point to the total value of the item being worsened - after two players have been eliminated, the surviving player gets all points accumulated for that item.
After five items, whichever player has accrued the most points over the course of the show wins the episode.

Our players will be given an absolutely beloved thing, and they'll have to make it worse by adding a circumstance or changing something about it, and they'll go back and forth, but here's the catch in the form of two rules: they must constantly escalate how much worse the thing becomes with every worsening, and you cannot iterate on a former worsening (for example, if the item were Piers Morgan, and one player were to say "he actually becomes popular", neither player could later say "he becomes twice as popular as before").
If I ever judge that you didn't make it MORE worse than the player before you, that player wins a point, and we'll move on to the next item. Best of 7, first player to win four items wins the game and gets two episode points.

Game 1 - Broken Headlines
I'll give you three headlines with blanks in them, if you can make me laugh or if you correctly guess what the blanks should be, you'll get a point - most points after all three headlines wins and earns one episode point.
Game 2 - The Cost is Correct
I'll give you five items, all you have to do is bid the closest to the actual listed price without going over to win it - players can overbid each other or freeze their bid until I announce "final bids", at which point players may bid one more time or freeze. I will not announce 1 more bid if both players have gone over, but may announce after 1 player has gone over. First player to win three listings wins the game and earns two episode points.
Game 3 - The Dumpster Fire
I'll give you five categories, and each player has to tell me something irritating about something within that category, and I'll pick the one that irritates ME the most and throw it in the dumpster fire. First player to have three of their choices thrown in the fire wins the game and earns three episode points.

For our 200th Episode Special Celebration, We've brought on a bunch of guests that have contributed throughout our history to play some fun games.
With Special Episode announcer Crunchie from Crunchie Streams directing Aaron as he hosts three interactive games.
First up is Russ and Lauren from The infectious Groove Youtube and Beer'd Al Podcast from the OddPods Media Network. The two Pull the reels to gain points and possible cash for their charity in "The Tokers Wild". The Players need to spin to reveal their trivia question, but watch out for the "Smaugie"
Our second game is "Take Your Chances" with contestents Kyla, Andy, and Karen from Defiant Monkey Improv. The three will take turns answering questions to earn chances to play on the Toker's Wild game board. Collect as much money and prizes while trying to amount more than your opponents. But be warned, Stevie's are around and will take your stash.
We end our 200th epsiode with a classic charity game favorite, "The List". The Rumpus Leapers consisting of CJ (DJ Xanthus from Radio Airwaves) Jabbo and Nashon (Proper Rumpus), and fellow panelshow podcast hosts, Matt and Audra from The Gateleapers (No Jason, what a surprise). Our team must all work together to complete each list to gain money for their chosen charity. Then all remaining contestants get to go to the bonus round to bring home that cash.

I'm going to give you five music-themed headlines, all of which have had their salient points blanked out - but here's the catch, I don't want the real answers, you'll get nothing if you give me the correct word or phrase that belongs in the blanks - I want you to improve them, by coming up with something that makes the headline funny.

Game 2 - The Rules of the Game
Our players will be playing a game they do not know the rules to. At any point, a player may shout their own name to buzz in and guess what they think the rules of the game are - if they are correct, they immediately win the game for their team. If they are wrong, they get to keep playing but may no longer guess.
If nobody guesses correctly by the end of the game, the single player with the most points wins the game for their team, if there's still a tie, players will take turns guessing until someone figures it out.

Game 2 - Pitch Me Baby One More Time
This month is the 25th anniversary of the founding of Rockstar Games, which is primarily known for the creation and development of the Grand Theft Auto games, and their studios have developed other original series like Red Dead, Manhunt, Bully, The Warriors, Smuggler's Run, and Midnight Club, but with the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6, it's clear they're going back to their cash cow. It's beyond time for a new IP.
So, I want you to pitch me Rockstar Games' next original open-world game. I want to know who you play as, what open-world you'll play in, and describe the general plot of the game. If you have some gameplay ideas, throw those in as well. Obviously you're going to want to avoid repeating ideas, so an open-world game set in the Wild West will not earn you any points. Best pitch wins.
Game 3 - Stevie's Rules of the Game
Stevie has come up with his own Rules of the Game, so Augie and I will play without any idea of what we're playing. Stevie will tell us whether we can win by guessing the rules or not.
