This was a fascinating conversation with Li Jacobsen, spanning her career from her first job as a dishwasher at the University of Wisconsin, Eau-Claire, to her current bad-ass role as a CIO. Tons of lessons learned here, such as the importance of having a mentor and being willing to take calculated risks with your career, understanding the needs of the business and how you can support them as well as finding a sense of balance between work and family life. Li is super impressive - I recommended listening to the entire conversation!

I was delighted to interview Alice - the first fully Finance-focused leader I've had on the podcast. She talked about her career journey from University in England to her current role in at Invidia Capital Management, via Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. As always, there were some fascinating insights around self-belief and willingness to put the hard work in to be successful. Enjoy!

This was such a fun interview! Sarah has a very impressive background and has recently made the leap to entrepreneurship, founding her own company focused on DEI consulting and training. Key themes - the value of a manager that will 'carry you up the ladder', believing in yourself and identifying what you are good at and approaching your career with that in mind.

This was a really fun interview with an extremely successful woman in Tech, Linh Lam. She found her way into technology via a stint at Accenture during a 'gap' year, and has been on the rise ever since. Lots of insights here, including being open to different perspectives and putting in the work so that your leader(s) will champion you. As always, the value of someone believing in your potential is critical, but Linh also stressed the importance of paying it forward. Definitely give this a listen!

She is also part of the Executive Education faculty at University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business and teaches their most popular program, High Performance Leadership. Some fantastic insights from a long and storied career - especially around the theme of believing in yourself and having confidence that you can inspire others, as well as taking the help you are offered!
