    Key Points In The Podcast

    DANIELLE

Artist Mindset Reset: What do you enjoy? What matters to you the most? Be consciously thinking about why you’re doing something and have gratitude.

We artists all have our own fingerprint. We’re all unique. No-one else can be what you are - and that’s what people want to see - something different. No-one wants to see what’s already been done. You want to try something else - it’s understanding who you’re speaking to and connecting with their values, with their personality, with their interests and be able to create that kind of conversation. And that’s kind of how you build the values thought the emotions and you use and the way you’re coming across with your visual aesthetic and beauty - as well as about what you’re truing to include with the offering and the value.

Visualising things can help you bring your goals to life - mentally, if you can make yourself physically feel the way you’d want to be feeling if you got somewhere - not just the what you achieve but also visualise the way you get there.

    LAURA

You sharing your craft and selling your craft is adding value. Actively ask, how is it adding value to the world? How are you positively impacting someones life, and how can you find that value in your art? Follow your true passions. It’s about self acceptance with becoming an artist - accepting yourself as an artist. Connect to yourself and stepping into your true art passion.

So for anyone considering sculpture painting fashion, whatever it is you do, find out how it would bring value. How are you bringing value to other people. Laser focus on that and the value you bring to everyone else. We all have our own unique blueprint and it’s going to be direct match for someone out there who aligns with your blueprint - You have to brainwash yourself into seeing the value and evidence that this will work - just focusing on that.

Getting your own art business up and running can feel like a dreaded uphill climb. At the root of these challenges is the business and marketing aspect. • The reason I’m creating this episode is that I had many messages from artists who have asked about how I got started with my own art business journey and who want to hear my story. The intention for this episode isn’t to go far back as the day I was born, but we’re actually starting from the beginning of my career….

This episode has actionable steps you can take and it will detail the specifics from my experiences. I have some personal insights from my journey from suffering with mental health challenges, to happiness in my private life and in my art business.

So, the reason why I want to share this with you is because I love to hear from others about their stories and lessons learned from those who have overcome setbacks and challenges. You’ll be getting the details that will hopefully make an impact in what you’re doing in your art business while you’re building something you love, that you are working so hard to scale.

    The 3 Main Points Are:

1 What I wish I knew before I got into my art business.

2 How to do the mindset work that helps you grow both personally and in your business.

3 How I approach negativity as an artrepreneur.

  • Shift Your Mindset To Sell More Art.

If you are anything like I was, when I first decided to start and grow my art business, I completely undervalued myself, my time, my art and what’s more, I had other’s telling me that I was charging ‘Too Much’ - and that didn’t help. Time and time again, the reason why you even have setbacks or challenges with your mindset in the first place is because you (or someone else) has feelings and emotions rooted in some kind of fear.

Fear is a barrier that has to be worked with. These are the 4 actionable steps you can take right away to gain clarity and ease around selling more art.

Step 1 - Identify the ways that fear shows up in your life. Did you resonate with any of the limiting beliefs we spoke about in today’s episode?

Step 2 - Identify where you are trading your time for money. Are you overworked and underpaid? What is your work life balance?

Step 3 Identify your accomplishments by creating an accomplishment list.

Step 4 - Make a list of tasks you'd like to start or finish or the skills you need to learn to get you to where you need to be!

To work with Danielle, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.artforwellness.co.uk. If you haven’t watched her free masterclass “ How to profit from your art” - You can watch the replay at www.artforwellness.co.uk/replay - it’s only available for a limited time.

  • Be your most confident as an artist and business owner.

Have you ever wondered... How do I overcome barriers associated with getting seen and showing up as an artist?

Have you ever wanted to get more comfortable doing video and audio content or when selling in-person and online but felt completely overwhelmed by it?

If you're anything like I was, you may have even watched others and you think they're amazing, but you feel like you can't do it at first.

Fear is a barrier that has to be worked with. My guest in this episode, Naomi Brown, is a pro at empowering others to work with fear and to show up confidently and with intention. Naomi is a business management and development consultant, transformative mindset and confidence coach, speaker and soon to be author, passionate about using her voice and experience to help you find your perfect harmony. Through her initiative Perfect Harmony and Life Solutions, Naomi created something that would support all areas of life: trauma, pain, fears, goals, career, you as a whole. She’s sharing her 4 step process, as well as some tangible action steps that you can implement right now for increasing your confidence and showing up the best version of yourself.

    NAOMI'S RESILIENCE CARE MODEL

[6:20] The "CARE" model that Naomi created was based around resilience - which Naomi describes in the podcast, is "Being able to bounce back and so you're able to reflect in a way that's not negative for you, but it's it's one that's engaging." The resilience CARE model is a really great easy tool for you to use on the day to day.

[8:50] Naomi's C-AA-RR-EE Model: Compassion, Awareness and Achievements, Rest and Reflection, Empower and Evaluate.

[10:00] Compassion: "We give people so much free love and nurturing. We need to turn that background in ourselves. So when something is not going so great, look at it from this: failing isn't - that's it's done it’s dead - instead, give yourself another opportunity to find a different perspective to try again." - Naomi

[12:00] Awareness and Achievements: "I sometimes get some of my clients write down on a bit of paper every achievement they have ever done. It's so important when we feel like that we remember just how much you've achieved in life, and how much more you're going to achieve in life." - Naomi

[13.59] Rest and reflection: "When we rest, whether that's taking ourselves for a walk or a lie down or a hot bath and a facial - we allow ourselves time to de-stress and, stop thinking a million miles per hour, we start to become more present. When we become more present, we are then able to reflect. Why did that not work for us? What can I do to improve the situation? Rather than being in this state of absolute urgency and panic where we're not able to think logically or methodically." - Naomi

[16:22] Empower and Evaluate. "Reflection is bringing it back to: how that could be better and how I can empower myself. Everything in your life is a lesson or a blessing and you know what? If it's a lesson, how is that lesson? What did you learn from it? And that's where our ability to evaluate comes in. What wasn't working and how and when am I going to try again with this? Is that I need to take a couple of days off and then hit it back. And in that race, I'm going to do X, Y, and Z and that will then prepare me mentally for coming back and build that resilience essentially." - Naomi

Danielle: "I believe 90% of our success as entrepreneurs is down to mindset as well as planning and strategy. Take ownership of your failures and choose to move forward, rather than choosing to stay stuck. Compare yourself today to yourself yesterday and focus on your own progress rather than other people's."
