Employees look to corporations for more accountability, more transparency, and more action than ever before. So how do we as People Leaders respond?
This week on the podcast, we unpack the playbook of radical transparency with Glassdoor’s Chief People Officer Danny Guillory. Glassdoor is the platform for open-sourced company reviews, and inside Glassdoor, leadership is just as committed to the value of transparency. Glassdoor openly communicates and shares data on company performance, employee feedback, diversity, and pay. Every year since 2020, Glassdoor has publicly published reports on pay equity and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to hold themselves accountable to their commitments and employees. This results in 80 to 90 percent participation in all staff meetings and a purpose-built workplace culture.
Danny tells us…
Why transparency without purpose is meaningless
Maintaining transparency during difficult economic times and layoffs
How radical transparency drives employee engagement and DEIB goals

This year is all about doubling down on retaining and developing our existing talent. This involves so many elements – employee engagement, creating a better employee experience – and many times this can boil down to the role of the manager. We have all heard the saying “people don’t leave bad companies, they leave bad managers.” So how do we train new managers? And how do we help train existing managers to become better managers – and more empathetic managers?
This week on All Hands, Mollie West Duffy and Liz Fosslien join Katelin Holloway to discuss…
What is emotional fluency and what’s its place in the workplace
How can we manage despair, anger, perfectionism while at work
When managers need to act like coaches versus managers
Mollie and Liz are the authors of the best-selling book Big Feelings: How to Be Okay When Things Are Not Okay. The book is full of powerful anecdotes, illustrations, and research-backed tips. In addition to authoring two books together, Mollie is the Head of Learning and Development at Lattice. Liz Fosslien consults with leaders at the Fortune 500 to help them build high-performing cultures of belonging. Liz is also the illustrator behind @lizandmollie on Instagram.

Pay parity is a simple concept: Everyone working the same job in the same location should be making roughly the same amount of money. However, in reality, it can be complicated to execute a pay parity strategy from scratch.
This week, we look at how Adobe first implemented a pay parity model way back in 2018. Katelin Holloway sits down with Rosemary Arriada-Keiper Vice President of Total Rewards at Adobe. She paved the way for pay parity at the company and continues to update, innovate, and adjust this model. Five years later, the 28,000 employees at the $4.53 billion value company continue to benefit from this standardized approach to pay.
Rosemary tells us…
How Adobe standardized what pay parity even means
How Adobe maintains pay parity five years in
What caused initial timeline delays with rolling out pay parity
