  • Being human can be challenging, especially in light of the global shift over the last 4 years. How can we embrace these changes with grace, and not pressure ourselves to live up to cultural standards that are honestly, unattainable and rooted in the presumption that you, as you are, is "not enough"?

In this episode, my guest, JodiGolda Komitor, unravels the gold laced within what it means to be HUMAN and how to embrace your messy ways as much as you do your Instagram-worthy side?

As a visionary herself, and pioneer of the Kids Yoga Movement, with over 25 years of entrepreneurial and small business experience, it was an honor to host JodiGolda on the podcast and learn from a true leader that embodies leadership with authenticity, truth, and freedom to be one's self unapologetically.

I first found JodiGolda by listening to her episode on the Healing Her podcast about this concept of the "inner winter" and how she moved through this following the sale of her business after abundant success with the Kids Yoga Movement.

Despite what the world sees as success, she stepped away into the spirit of what she calls a "somatic unpacking", developing a relationship with the part that is outside of you, this conversation with your harsh inner critic.

Once again, she is in a stage of following her inner calling by leaving everything that she knew here in the States to explore life in Portugal as a digital nomad, and what this new season is unearthing within her, gathering the gold in both the highs and lows of life!

  • If you’re struggling, or want to know how to support someone and be an ally for mental health 🫶 this message and episode is for you! 💕💕

In this last of a special series to honor Mental Health Awareness month, I share both a somatic + spiritual approach to trauma recovery and suicide prevention.

As something I've been a devout advocate for many years in my trauma informed practice, is knowing how to support someone (and yourself) to avoid isolation + feeling like a "lone wolf" in your struggles to survive, be seen, and fully understood in your asking for help.

To truly feel SAFE when seeking support is challenging in a world that doesn't quite offer the tools and resources for people struggling inside.

I speak to concepts like common humanity, compassion, and honoring those who we have lost in their legacy to be a light for others in their own darkness.

I also pay respects to the life and legacy of Grayson Murray of the PGA tour, who we lost to this struggle.

In his beautiful words,"When you're tired of fighting, let someone fight for you." @graysonmurray

We continue to fight for you, Grayson and all who struggle. This is for YOU.

  • In continuation of honoring this month's series for Mental Health Awareness Month, this epsiode unlocks another aspect of our own internal struggle with all or nothing thinking and how this plays a role in triggering trauma or emotional disregulation.

I touch on the Tantric framework of polarity + bring to light the the Cosmic Couple, Shiva and Shakti, that exist in all of creation, and within ourselves!

What happens when you lean too heavily into masculine construct of Shiva, or the feminine in Shakti, and say with conviction THIS IS THE WAY (or the only way) is to lose touch with half of its entire existence! If you're already lost, I clarify all this in the episode!

The secret to healing + elevating your consciousness exists in knowing, honoring, and LIVING in both realities, and learning how to "live in the grey".

The Principle of Polarity states that all manifested things have ‘two sides’; ‘two aspects’; ‘two poles; and, ‘everything has its opposite’ with manifold degrees between the two extremes.” – The Kybalion, a text of hermetic wisdom

  • If you’ve ever been gaslit, or have dealt with this challenging dynamic in your life, this episode is your elixir to a deeply intimate and enlightening conversation on what gaslighting looks like, and how to take your POWER back!

To me gaslighting at its core is a denial of your lived experience, and NO one has a right to have that say over YOU.

With May being mental health awareness month, I felt very passionate to bring this topic to light 💡 as suppression of our lived experience is the source of physical somatic symptoms + many chronic conditions when left unhealed.

Our bodies remember what our brains want to forget.

I also share some exciting news on my brand new ALIVE merch 🌈💕🫶 available through the end of the month of May!

  • I'M BACK!!! Just in time for the divine month of May, a window in time that celebrates Mental Health Awareness month, Jewish Heritage Month, and my birthday on May 12th!

Each episode this month will feature the real lived experience of what it feels like to be ALIVE and recover and heal from past trauma, along with my personal wisdom to help you navigate this season of healing fully embodied!

Overthinking is one of these common lived experiences, especially in the psyche of one who has experienced any level of trauma, which we all have been feeling deeply more so in the past 4 years.

In this episode, I will cover:

    1. What causes the overthinking mind, and how it shows up subconsciously without you even realizing what's happening!

    2. How the connection to past trauma heightens this experience, and why it's actually here to HELP you release this from your physical body.

    3. Where you can get started to break the cycle of this conditioning in a trauma informed and somatic approach.

"Overthinking shows up as this quiet voice that never stops anyone but YOU."

  • Are you the woman that is expected to hold it together, where all of your energy is consumed in the everyday? The type of woman who has wild dreams, but your obligations are overpowering, and those beautiful dreams stay on the backburner of your heart's greatest longings?

If so, this episode is for you! In one of my MOST cherished conversations on the podcast, New York Times bestselling author Lauren Grodstein joins me for an intimate and heartwarming discussion about living as a woman in what is still a Virginia Woolf world, indoctrinated as "women of labor" and the demands of life as the oldest daughter of her family.

In this conversation, we also speak to how womanhood poses challenges as a Jewish woman specifically, in light of the tragic events on and following October 7th, and how her latest book release We Must Not Think of Ourselves was unintentionally a timely message sharing the stories of the Warsaw Ghetto in 1940 and keeping their stories alive.

We are once again living in a time when no choice feels like a good choice, but Lauren does an impressive job depicting this in her novel, and in real life on this podcast.

She truly has a way with words that awakens your senses to truly see + feel as if you are there, and encompassing all emotions.

Be sure to stay tuned till the end, where she graciously also shares with us secrets of the publishing process and how to make writing your book easier - bye bye Writer's Block, hello Paris?

    About Lauren:

Lauren Grodstein is the author of five novels, including the Read with Jenna selection and national bestseller We Must Not Think of Ourselves, New York Times bestseller A Friend of the Family and the Washington Post Book of the Year The Explanation for Everything.

Lauren’s work has been translated into French, Turkish, German, Hebrew, and other languages, and her essays and reviews have been widely published. She teaches in the MFA Program at Rutgers University-Camden and lives in New Jersey with her husband and children.

  • This is such a good episode and divine reminder from March 2023, I wanted to bring it back. The message is still potent.
    ____________________________________

For centuries, women and the feminine embodiment have been silenced, and our voices not heard. Society runs on masculine energy, seeking logic and what can be seen as the only proof of existence. But in the Cosmos and conscious reality, both masculine + feminine energies exist. So why the weight only on the masculine as the golden rule?

In this excerpt from a live talk I hosted on the Insight Timer app, I discuss why WOMEN SHOULD SPEAK UP NOW, and how silencing the feminine embodiment causes trauma within one's physical body if not expressed.

Many chronic conditions for sensitive souls, and women especially, are a result of underutilizing the throat chakra, and her voice to express her needs, wants, desires, and emotions throughout life. Even as a child, we may have been taught to be "seen and not heard", and as a result found other ways to cope that stuff our needs away, thinking "I am not worthy of _____".

In this episode, you will learn 4 ways of healing the feminine wound of being silenced from a trauma informed perspective to heal the inner child + ancestral trauma wounds.

Stay tuned at the end for a special LIVE premiere of my meditation, "This Belongs", where you get a chance to practice the first steps to healing with me through radical acceptance + compassion therapy.

Access more of my FREE meditations, and follow my page on Insight Timer to join me on my next LIVE event, absolutely free!

  • If you've felt like there's more to life, but unsure of how to connect to Spirit or trust the signs, this episode will light the way! Destiny Hwang shares her Shamanic wisdom and secrets on how to deepen and trust your connection to Spirit, and your guides.

Trusting your inner knowing can be challenging, especially in the world we live in with overwhelming information at your fingertips that conflicts and fuels this self doubt within to TRUST WHAT YOU KNOW!

This inner knowing is activated by opening your Crown chakra, and development of your 4 Clair's which we speak about in this episode.

As she says so beautifully, "expectation kills connection", so relax + listen to this conversation with an open mind that whatever is meant to be revealed will come through for you. Follow the breadcrumb trail, and allow listening to this episode to be your first step to "dabbling in the divine!"

    About Destiny:

Destiny Hwang is a healer and intuitive. While she is trained in both the Usui and Karuna Reiki lineages and incorporates Reiki into her healing work, her healing sessions mostly consist of Shamanic techniques and energy techniques that she’s created or learned from her guides. Her focus is always on healing all parts of the person, not just the physical body, but rather the emotional body, the spiritual body and the pain body. Destiny’s goal is to help remind her clients how to connect to their own inner knowing and trust it. She often includes inner child work as well as shadow work and intuitive development. Her BIG reason for being here is helping others learn to connect with their own intuition and spirit guides. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Southern California. When she’s not doing her spiritual work, she enjoys yoga, painting, hiking, and gardening.

  • Your inner child longs to come alive in your creative spirit. Yet we live in a world that overemphasizes the power of form and technique over living in the play, or creating just for the sake of the person you become along the way.

In this episode, Sheryl Benjy shares how her art is more than just the tangible piece she creates, but more of a moving meditation and a process that invites play through creativity and emoting the experience.

In the emoting, Sheryl helps people heal through trauma and challenging life experiences in both the creative process + by immersing in the piece as a divine reminder that the spirit always remains.

I personally connected with Sheryl through a painting of one of the hostages following the events on October 7th and was so deeply moved by how she uses her art to express what cannot be put into words, and evokes this same feeling in both the families of the victims and the entire community at large who feels so helpless in such a tragic time.

She also speaks so beautifully to the dynamic of being both Iranian and Jewish, and how this interplay of ancestral experiences continues to influence her artistry in a way that moves others to become more resilient and feel peace amidst the chaos.

  • The Radiance Sutras is a beautiful book that is a tantra, or manual of practices, that is a conversation between lovers, Shiva and Shakti.

Within you is both Shiva, the Divine Masculine and Shakti, the Divine Feminine.

This episode honors that in this essay entitled, "Love is a Practice" which I see as an embodiment of self love and cultivating compassionate conversations with yourself so you know what it is to LOVE another.

As it says in this passage,

" Love is a particular practice of yoga – complex, demanding, and exhausting. It can also be the most meaningful and rewarding practice in the world. When we give our total attention to someone, a special quality of spaciousness and tranquility can emerge."

In this episode, you will learn how to practice LOVE as a form of yoga to honor the Shiva and Shakti within you.

Let's continue the conversation on Instagram or Facebook, wherever you fancy!

  • Have you been experiencing unusual symptoms that Western medicine has been unable to help you with? I know this feeling wholeheartedly, as I've been sharing my experiences in decoding this mystery throughout the podcast since my initial episode back in August 2022.

So many conditions are undiagnosed in Western medicine, often being put into a label called "autoimmune conditions", or "chronic illness" - but is this truly chronic, or are there stones left unturned that can help you heal in a more natural and holistic way of living?

These are some of the secrets uncovered on this episode with one of the founders of the FIG (Food is Good) app, Andrew Hollar.

I have no idea how I was guided to this app, but it was Divine intervention as I truly do believe having this powerful resource at my fingertips has helped me cut through the noise online about what foods can help heal versus trigger the symptoms I was experiencing.

If medicine is prescribed that is taken through the mouth, why isn't the Food you eat also considered as medicine?

This episode will reveal all, including how to heal the "invisible illness" through any dietary restrictions you have without feeling restricted by a list of 5-10 foods! From a Vegan or Pescatarian diet, to Gluten, Soy, and Dairy free needs, to the Low Histamine diet (which inspired Andrew's journey and my own), the FIG app will help you release the food anxiety, and learn how feel the FIG (food is good) again!

    About Andrew:

Andrew Hollar is the co-founder of Fig, an app that helps people with dietary restrictions find food they can eat. Andrew started Fig after discovering that a modified diet was the answer to years of mysterious health issues in his own life. He and the Fig team are committed to helping everyone feel their best through food.

  • Do you feel safe to express yourself within your physical body? In today's episode, I had the divine pleasure to speak with Jamie Gavagan about her five- year journey of healing chronic pain to ways of expressing herself as she never could.

We speak about the grief and rage that is felt when you can no longer do what you easily could before the condition, and how chronic pain can feel as if it's controlling your life.

Jamie shares with us how she was able to shift out of this frustration through her practice to a mindset of "I can move freely while being in pain" to overcome the fears of hurting yourself in movement.

In this episode, Jamie uncovers five key tips to become the healer you seek, including how to empower your own inner trust, and way of knowing yourself (and your body) to living free of the labels of chronic pain + conditions.

I am honored to have Jamie as a teacher in the upcoming round of the Live Vibrant Sisterhood to bring her expertise on self healing practices to teach us a session on Radiant Self Compassion, taking us through a breathwork session, meditation, and journaling practice. • There's not always a reason for what you go through, but everything you go through makes you who you are, it's all how you respond to life. These are the beautiful and profound words of Karen Conner, my dear friend, and guest in this episode.

In this deeply intimate conversation, Karen shares her journey through healing trauma and her autoimmune condition, known as POTS syndrome. She is a sensitive soul healing and coming back to who she knows she is BORN to be, gifted with the voice of an angel and the power to create music that pierces your Soul to evoke EVERY emotion within you.

A grand part of her message is healing through feeling, and how not processing your emotions, rooted in past trauma, eventually can lead to illness, pain, and suffering from the suppression of what is meant to move through you to be released!

She does this through her music to help us feel less alone, and process and flow through emotions with ease, grace, and a compassionate heart.

I am blessed to have her join us as a guest teacher in my upcoming round of the Live Vibrant Sisterhood to teach lyrical therapy, even if you're not a talented musician like her! Click here to see if this speaks to you.

I certainly am not a musical genius, but believe we can channel the energy of the frequency of sound healing to feel the same benefits as the creator themselves.

Stay tuned through the entire episode for a sneak preview of her first original song debut, Pieces That Make Me which will speak to everything this episode speaks to, and Karen's healing prowess!

  • Triggers can feel emotionally overwhelming, especially when you're a highly sensitive person (HSP). In this beautiful conversation, I had the honor to have Alissa Boyer back on the podcast to share more of what it means to live life as an HSP (highly sensitive person), and how to know if you're even sensitive yourself?

I didn't know this until I watched the documentary with Alanis Morissette called "Sensitive: The Untold Story", but I knew my whole life that I felt deeply, I loved hard, and I was overwhelmed with a floodgate of emotions I often didn't know how to process, let alone know how to help myself self-regulate.

In this episode Alissa shares how her journey has shifted since Ep. 74 - Stop Apologizing for Your Sensitivity + Start Harnessing Your HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) and answers these powerful questions:

    1. What does it mean to be highly sensitive?
    2. What are some common experiences of being highly sensitive?
    3. Why doesn't the world embrace HSPs for their gifts?
    4. What tools help you self-regulate to RISE above the stories?

I’m super excited to have Alissa join us as a teacher and member of the upcoming round of my Live Vibrant Sisterhood sharing one of her favorite modalities for self regulation, EFT for Empaths! Click here to capture the last days of the pre-sale prices at 33% off!

  • Does your "inner mean girl" creep in when you even think about slowing down? This has been the spirit of my life for SO many years, and it's often right after the New Year that I start to feel the PRESSURE TO SHOW UP, when all I want to do is ease back in after the holidays.

I'm questioning the status quo in this solo episode, inviting in the energy of starting slow + somatically in 2024 where you FEEL into your feminine flow, instead of letting the New Years Intention Setting + wellness buzz make you feel FOMO.

Since I am celebrating 20 years since my spiritual path began in a Yoga for Stress class (shoutout to Yoga Jane!) back in 2004, I tie in Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga as a model for how to do this from a state of doing-ness to a state of being-ness in 6 SIMPLE STEPS.

I'm also SUPER STOKED that I am reviving my Live Vibrant Sisterhood again this February after a wild 2023 of challenges with my chronic conditions, and give you a sneak peek in this episode as to how you can practice Patanjali's 8 limbs of Yoga in just 5 mins a day. Let it be easy, as Suzie Moore says!

If you're seeking more connection this year, you can also practice LIVE with us in the Sisterhood , because I don't know about you, but I'm craving much more connection this year. Flying solo can be oh so lonely, and incredibly draining!

Seeking Sisterhood? Peek here at the pre-sale (33% off) which ends Tuesday, January 16th!

  • Have you always been spiritually curious, or seeking deeper connection with the Divine? In this episode, I had the devout honor to interview one of the most spiritually influential people on the planet, the goddess + creator of Moonology, Yasmin Boland.

Yasmin shares with us how she fell into the Moon's secrets from a career as a former journalist. She started off with writing alternative stories in her column, and followed the breadcrumbs that trickled through to her from various sources, almost as though they were seeking her out.

In Yasmin's words, "the goddess came and found me", and speaks to the Dark Moon Cycle we have been in for about 5,000 years, which explains the collective chaos that is leading more and more souls to awaken and seek the secrets of Astrology and Moonology, which is a beautiful immersion of both art + science.

Yasmin also shares with us how you can thrive as an astrologer + creative for a living in her inspiring journey, as she has now taught thousands of women how to work with the Moon’s endless beautiful cycles.

Stay tuned towards the end where Yasmin shares with us a special 2024 astrology forecast on "How to Have a Better Year in 2024" + begin your path to mastering the secrets of Moonology today!

In fact, her Moonology oracle deck, diary and calendar are a devout part of my weekly spiritual practice, and what I use with my clients to help harness one's own Divine Design.

    About Yasmin:

Yasmin Boland is an award winning astrologer and the Sunday Times best-selling Hay House author of books including Moonology and Astrology Made Easy and the creator of the Moonology oracle cards, possibly the best-selling oracle cards in the history of oracle cards. A former journalist and TV producer, Yasmin's work has been featured around the world, including in Oprah's magazine, and she was recently named as one of the most spiritually influential people on the planet... Yasmin' taps into ancient lunar wisdom to explain to people who they can use Mainly Moonology - the Moon - as the most consistent and effective manifesting tool.
