Ozempic is all the rage.
Even Oprah is on it and lost a ton of weight...at Weight Watcher's expense but such is life, right? No matter that their stock tanked and countless number of weight watchers users felt betrayed because of her.
"Today, over 100 members of Congress support a bill to fund Ozempic with Medicare... Most of these members have taken money from the manufacturer of that product, a European company called Novo Nordisk."
Got that? Members of congress who received money from Novo Nordisk, the Danish manufacturer of Ozempic, want Americans to be covered for it in the US. What are the odds?
"There is a push to recommend Ozempic for Americans as young as six over a condition -obesity-that is completely preventable."
You read that right. "As young as 6"
In this short episode (under 15 minutes) we continue our research into the weight loss drug, Ozempic:
Is it safe to take?
Is it expensive?
Is it covered by insurance?
Why did Oprah step down from Weight Watcher's Board and sell her shares in the company after taking Ozempic?

What do fruit punch, bacon bits, sports drinks and rainbow sprinkles have in common?
They and many other products are made with synthetic food coloring that has caused cancer in rats. It has been banned in Europe, Australia and New Zealand since 1994. Heck, it has been banned in the US for 35 years but only for use in cosmetics.
That's Outrageous you say? So do we.

Thoughts on the New York Post headline saying, "The Golden Bachelor' divorce highlights the many hardships of geriatric dating," to announce that the first Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, in his early 70's, is divorcing the contestant he dated and married on the show.
"Geriatric dating?????"
Other than as a medical term, can we all agree to not use that term to define two people who are dating or divorcing just because they are not 20?
We are so sick of this fake narrative about everyone being labeled and in particular, everyone over 40, 50, and 60, being labeled as old.
It is NOT true.
We have to stop referring to everything and everyone related to aging in a negative light.
Don't you agree?

One of the greatest fears people have about aging is the possibility that they will end up having dementia.
How common is Dementia?
Is it inevitable?
Is there anything we can do to prevent it?
In part one of this two-part discussion, our guests, Dr Emily Clionsky, MD and Dr Mitchell Clionsky, PHD will answer those questions and discuss their new book, Dementia Prevention: Using Your Head To Save Your Brain. (You can order their book here: https://amzn.to/492AJfw)
You don't want to miss their concrete advice about prevention. I must have said "wow" 20 times during this discussion because they repeatedly shared things I did not see coming.

This is Part II of our discussion with Author, George Jerjian. If you haven't listened to part I we encourage you to listen to episode 17 with George before listening to this one.
George was only 52 years old when he was given just 6 months to live. Fortunately, the diagnosis turned out to be wrong but so was the hellish semi-retirement he was propelled into as a result. Don't get us wrong. He had friends, family, money and an active social life, but it somehow wasn't enough. So, he "unretired" and embarked on a journey to discover his true purpose.
How did he do that, you ask? By going on a 30 day SILENT Retreat!!! Can you imagine???
His mission is to inspire and teach others to do the same using the tools he discovered on his own journey.
In this second episode with George, he talks about what motivated him to go on a silent retreat, what came out of that experience and how he knew something had to change in his life he was going to be happy as a retired person.

Dr Chris Rhodes, a research scientist from California, knew that intermittent fasting was a game changer when it came to healthy aging but he also knew that for many people, fasting would not be an option. So, he set out to create a supplement that would offer people a way of benefitting from fasting without actually having to do it.
He joins us for this 2-part episode to discuss the benefits of fasting, why this interested him and how he believes his supplement will change the face of aging well.
For those interested in trying the Mimio Daily Cell Care Formula, Dr Rhodes has kindly offered our listeners a discount.

We are back with the second half of our interview with former guest, Anne Kremidas. The first time she visited us she talked about being blindsided by her ex-husband, whom she refers to as her "wasband" as in he was her husband, who cheated on her. If you have not heard it we encourage you to go back and listen to it. Anne is a great storyteller. Last week while Anne was with us we discussed her dabbling in the online dating pool and all that has entailed. This week she offers us advice on avoiding and detecting online scammers who are not looking for love but rather, are looking for money. They are getting very clever at scamming so this is a must hear if you are considering online dating. As we are a fairly new podcast we survive on your support.
