On tonight's episode of After Hours Arc, Witch Hat Atelier's Episode 12 delivers one of the strongest character-focused stories of the season. While Agott, Richeh, and Euini take on the Serpentback Cave test, Euini's forced to confront the self-doubt that's been holding him back for years.
We dive into some history of Romanon, learn more about Richeh's determination to stay true to herself, and watch Euini finally take an important step toward believing in himself!
Between the emotional character growth, creative uses of magic, and the WILD cliffhanger involving the Brimmed Caps, this episode had me completely hooked from start to finish, shocker I know!
Witch Hat Atelier continues to prove why it's become one of my favorite anime of the year!

On tonight’s episode of After Hours Arc, we head into Episode 11 of Witch Hat Atelier — The Test in Serpentback.
While Agott prepares for her long-awaited Second Test, the spotlight shines on Richeh, whose struggle with learning from others finally comes to the surface. What starts as a disagreement with Qifrey turns into one of the most revealing character episodes of the season, giving us a glimpse into Richeh’s past, her relationship with her brother, and why she clings so fiercely to her own style of magic.
Meanwhile, Coco begins discovering her own magical strengths, Qifrey drops some surprisingly inspiring lessons, and Master Olruggio continues proving why he's one of the best mentors in the series. As the apprentices arrive at Serpentback Cave, the Second Test begins — and it looks far more dangerous than anyone expected.
A character-focused episode packed with emotional backstory, magical worldbuilding, and the start of a major new challenge.

On tonight's episode of After Hours Arc, Episode 10 of Witch Hat Atelier hits hard. While Coco recovers in the hospital after collapsing from exhaustion, Tartah faces his Silverwash Syndrome head‑on — and ends up creating a brand‑new spell with her. What starts as panic turns into one of the most beautiful moments of growth in the series, giving Tartah hope for the first time.
Qifrey gets dragged into helping with a fire in town, the Brimmed Caps move quietly in the background, and we end with Coco and Tartah sharing a soft moment that might be the start of something more??
A calm, emotional episode with huge character development and a subtle cliffhanger for what’s coming next.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, Coco faces her darkest moment yet in Witch Hat Atelier's Episode 9. After a day of spell mishaps and learning the truth behind the Five Witch Tests, she’s pulled into a terrifying dream where her mother, Agott, and even the brimmed cap confront her fears — “behold, which your avarice for magic has wrought.”
Meanwhile, Qifrey’s secret attempt to dissect the twin bottle spell spirals into disaster when the masked brimmed cap appears. A tense, emotional chapter that pushes both Coco and Qifrey to their limits.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I recap Episode 8 of Witch Hat Atelier, where Coco and Agott’s capture with the Knights Moralis turns into a full standoff. Richeh blasts in and burns the pennants (“I had to rewind it because it happened so fast”), Qifrey steps in with the Rain Cleaver, and the Knights back off.
But the real danger starts when Qifrey notices Coco’s ink vial is still full and panics. Their trip to Kalhn reveals it’s tied to a forbidden spell and after a bright flash of light, Nolnoa suddenly remembers nothing?
Meanwhile, Coco learns Tartah’s “silverwash” eyes make becoming a witch nearly impossible.
Episode 8 raises the stakes again: forbidden magic, missing memories, and Qifrey’s obsession closing in.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, vibe check with me as I talk about testing out video recording, why the audio betrayed me, and how that spiraled into a special re‑record just for here. Then we drift into anime: my surprising 180 on Daemons of the Shadow Realm, how episode one had me ready to tap out, and why episode two completely flipped the switch for me. From Witch Hat Tuesdays to dropping Eren the Southpaw, to getting hooked on Gabby and Gabriel’s whole dynamic — it’s all here.
I get into the humor, the darkness, the daemons, the dub vs. sub situation, and the little storytelling details that have been keeping me locked in. A cozy, low‑pressure check‑in to unwind with while I reorganize, experiment with video ideas, and figure out how to bring more community energy into After Hours Arc.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, join me as I recap Episode 7 of Witch Hat Atelier, where a simple storm rescue turns into the most intense moment of the season for Agathe and Coco.
What starts as a routine mission escalates fast. Qifrey parts an entire river with the Rain Cleaver, Olruggio pushes Agott to rethink what magic is for, and Coco ends up hanging off a cliff in the mud trying to save a boy trapped under a boulder.
Agott's self‑doubt finally cracks open, leading to a full mental spiral before she unleashes her brightest spell yet to distract the crowd.
Using everything she learned in Episode 6, Coco pulls off her first real emergency spell and manages to save him, proving her determination isn’t just talk. But just as the girls catch their breath, the Knights Moralis descend, bind them with silver‑white pennants, and Easthies himself steps in with zero mercy.
By the end, Coco and Agott are captured, the riverbed has mysteriously turned to sand, and the threat of forbidden magic hangs over everything. The stakes for the atelier just shot way up

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I run through a mix of Isekai series. This lineup ended up being way more entertaining than I expected.
I get into The World’s Finest Assassin , Misfit at Demon King Academy, A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation, Konosuba, Isekai Office Worker, and Arifureta. Each one hits a totally different lane: comedy, overpowered fantasy, slow‑life chill, and full chaotic energy.
What surprised me most is how differently these isekai land. Some are messy and unhinged, some are cozy, and some are way better than their tropes should allow. A few definitely caught me off guard in the best way.
Overall, it’s a solid mix of isekai comedy, OP Main Characters, slow‑life fantasy, and survival‑style isekai, and a reminder that not every show has to hit the same way to be worth watching.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I get into Scooped Up by an S‑Ranked Adventurer, the anime that blindsided me and turned into a full comfort show. Lloyd’s whole arc, being raised by Merlin, being convinced he’s weak, getting kicked out, and then finally being appreciated hit way harder than I expected.
I go through why the S‑Rank party works so well, how Lloyd’s support magic is basically broken, the monster‑summoning mystery, Claire’s ancient magic, and the finale that had me clutching my chest when Lloyd almost gets pulled into the void. It’s a short series, but it’s packed with heart, comedy, and a genuinely sweet found‑family dynamic.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I recap Episode 6 of Witch Hat Atelier — “A Light on a Rainy Day”, a quieter chapter focused on character growth. Agott trains relentlessly — “her eyes are closed… a beam of light just shoots up” — while Coco struggles with her pen, learns from Qifrey, and finds new motivation in her magic.
We also meet Olruggio, the Atelier’s watchful eye, and discover he created the glowstone path that first made Coco fall in love with magic: “This is the spell that made her fall in love with magic in the first place.”
If you’re into character‑driven episodes, quiet emotional beats, and new pieces of the world’s magical hierarchy, this one delivers in a big way.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I break down Jujutsu Kaisen’s Hidden Inventory arc — the flashback that reshaped Gojo, Geto, and the entire JJK story. From MAPPA’s animation shift to Riko’s role, Toji’s impact, and Gojo’s awakening, this deep dive explores why Hidden Inventory is one of the most emotional and defining arcs in the series.

A soft late‑night check‑in to kick off May. I talk about finally taking a much‑needed vacation, reorganizing my space (including the new black bookcase I built — and falling deeper into the Funko Pop rabbit hole. Then we slide into anime: what I’m watching, what I’m dropping for now, and why this spring lineup has me more chaotic than usual. From Witch Hat Atelier Tuesdays to Go For It, Nakamura, to pausing My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 so I can binge it properly. Dive into staple soundtracks, it’s all here. A cozy, low‑pressure episode to vibe out with while I reset, clean, and plan what’s next for the podcast.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I recap Episode 5 of Witch Hat Atelier — “The Dragon’s Labyrinth”, and this one had everything: tension, humor, and some of the best animation of the season.
The apprentices are trapped in a stone maze with a massive blue dragon, and what follows is a mix of panic, teamwork, and real character growth. From Tetia’s cloud spell to Agott’s walls finally starting to crack, this episode becomes a turning point for the whole group. And when things get dire, Qifrey steps in with one of the most intense spells we’ve seen yet.
If you’re loving the blend of magic, mystery, and character‑driven storytelling, this episode delivers.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I finally re‑record my thoughts on Windbreaker Season 1 — and I genuinely didn’t expect this show to hit me as hard as it did.
What looks like a simple high school fighting show, turns into a surprisingly emotional story about belonging. We follow Sakura, a kid who’s spent his whole life treated like an outsider, as he arrives at Furin expecting chaos… only to find a community that actually cares. From there, the season becomes this uplifting mix of fights, friendships, and real character growth. Lets not forget all the blushing!
Between Sakura’s new crew and the intense showdown with Shishitoran, Season 1 delivers way more heart than I ever expected going in.
If you’re into action with real emotional payoff, Windbreaker might be your next binge.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I change my mind about recording Wind Breaker s1 because I just finished Season 1 of My Dress-Up Darling — and it completely caught me off guard with how much I loved it! I just couldn't resist!
We follow Gojo, a quiet doll maker, and Kitagawa, a bold wannabe cosplayer, as their worlds collide and slowly turn into something deeper through creativity, trust, and some genuinely heartfelt moments.
From funny and awkward to surprisingly emotional, this is an easy binge that really sticks with you.

In this episode of the After Hours Arc, join me as I recap Episode 4 of Witch Hat Atelier, where Coco and the other apprentices head to the city of Kalhn for supplies.
What started as a simple trip quickly turns into something much more dangerous after Coco spots the masked witch from before and takes off after him. That decision pulls Tetia, Richeh, and Agott into the chaos, and before they know it, they’re transported into a strange stone maze.
With a dragon summoned and tension rising fast, the group is forced to work together to survive—though not without Agott calling Coco out for the mess they’re in
Meanwhile, Qifrey realizes a little to late that something is wrong and begins searching for them.
By the end, the danger surrounding Coco becomes even more clear, as the Brimmed Caps make their move early—proving she’s at the center of something much bigger!
