Gideon, a gym friend of mine, shares his thoughts on my struggle with balancing two passions at once: Fitness and gaming.
His insight can really help other people with their problems as well, and here’s what he says:
You can’t handle so many different problems at once and expect to get a result in the area that you want.
You got to put time into something in order to make it grow. And not even to make it grow, in order to understand if it’s right for you.
Gideon thinks the biggest human concern is that we put time into something that never pays off. Everyone’s always worried about it not paying off. That’s what holds people back from doing most things (That’s exactly what’s holding me back from growing my fitness YouTube channel more, because it could be a repeat of my gaming YouTube channel).
You need to put time and money into what you want to grow, and my time is so divided between my fitness and gaming channels, and there’s been many nights where I have lacked sleep because of the hard balance.
Why do you want to keep whatever it is you’re passionate about going? Why do you like it? What’s the return you’re getting back from it?
You gotta reason with yourself: Is this something that I wanna do now and I’m not gonna put aside, and I’m gonna hammer down on? And if it is something you’re gonna hammer down on, you gotta make the steps to do that. You gotta get rid of all the other distraction in your life.
If you want to have people that actually care about what you do, you need to offer value. You gotta dig down and find the value in what you’re offering.
Another thing Gideon thinks people have issues with as well, is you gotta focus on what you know and what you can understand. If you learn new skills, consider the timeframe you have.
The biggest question is: What do you want from it? -
I asked Twitch Streamer/My moderator, Signman975, how social media has affected his life. We listen to how his relationship with social media changed over the years.

I asked my friend Gideon what motivates him to workout, but his answer lies within a story. Everyone has a story, and in this episode we learn about his.

Even when your conditions aren't great, unexpected pleasant surprises can still arise from just showing up. Taking immediate actions can sometimes be the catalyst you need to get momentum going again toward your goals.

I made up all my workouts on one day, and just showing up brought me progress. In fact, in brought me more than I thought it would, and I go over the surprises in this episode. Additionally, a useful concept about immediate actions.

How to prepare your mind for the gym. How to prepare it for any performance. It's been a while since I've uploaded a podcast.
This year I'm going to share more personal thoughts and stories of mine. Perhaps the words you'll hear in this video mean nothing to you, and that's alright. Find someone whose words really speak to you. I believe we should all try to find someone out there that can serve as a mentor. I hope you find yours. -
I help gamers with fitness. Bodybuilding, gaming, and playing with friends. I'm a Twitch streamer, and here you can find my podcast :)
