  • It's games games games as the Euro's group stage rolls on, and we've done our best to recap all of the biggest and best stories so far.

Our mortal enemy Romelu Lukaku had a bit of a disaster class as Belgium lost their first game to Slovakia, and even though luck was not on Big Rom's side, there were some hints that he still could have done more.

Another disappointing display from England as they drew 1-1 with Denmark. The Trent in midfield experiment continues, as does Foden at left wing, but what else can Gareth Southgate possibly do while missing his main man?

Former dark horse regulars Turkey have maybe won us over after all this time, thanks to a wonder strike from starboy Arda Guler

On the rest of the episode available for Ultra's only over on our Patreon, we also talk about France getting off to a not so impressive start, and how some people thought Mbappé had his broken nose coming over some political comments, and all the rest of the games throughout the group stage so far. We also take a glance at our Euro's fantasy table and take a gander at some dreaded SOCIAL MEDIA COMMENTS.

  • The Euros are well and truly underway and we've done our best to round up the group stage so far!

In probably the most anticipated debut of the tournament for our listeners, England had their first game against Serbia, and apart from a brief few moments of brilliance from Jude Bellingham, it was a shakey game that England were lucky to win in the end.

Has Gareth Southgate's tinkering gone too far with his team selection? Is the Trent at midfield experiment over?

Spain broke free from their Tiki Taka shackles and ran at an againg Croatian team, winning 3-0 in the process.

Italy and Netherlands managed wins in their games, but are either of them looking like they can get by champions elect Germany?

Why does Ian Maatsen only have one pair of boots?

And finally, a brief look at our official No Nonsense Euro's fantasy table where we've gotten off to a poor start.

  • Euro 2024 start off with a 5-1 victory for hosts Germany. Scotland brought some 200,000 fans to Munich which only made it uncomfortably reminiscent of Ireland's disastrous 2012 European championships.

Toni Kroos, returned to the international side since March, completed 99 percent of his passes as we ask is there any way to stop the metronome behind the German Mannschaft.

Matts Hummel's summer from hell continues as he criticizes managerial decisions from both his club and country bosses, naturally in an Italian newspaper.

We also have a rare email where Cathal gets called out on his football AND political knowledge.

  • As part of our latest ULTRAS ONLY bonus episode on Patreon, before we enter in to Euros 2024, we had some international friendlies and a potential international incident to ease us in.

John O'Shea is still managing Ireland, and they are somehow winning games now as they beat Hungary 2-1 in a quarter full Aviva stadium, but does it really matter?

Some breaking news from the past as it turns out Man City is bringing the Premier League to court for totally unrelated reasons to the massive list of charges they are curerntly under investigation for. That damn majority at it again!

Gareth Southgate announced his final squads for the Euro's and England's most confusing group chat members such as Jack Grealish and James Maddison are nowhere to be seen.

  • The last Champions League as we know it came to an end in familiar fashion, with Real Madrid lifting the trophy as a heartbroken Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Borussia Dortmund looked on.

We go through the game Füllkrug chance by agonising Füllkrug chance, as Dortmund fought valiently until it was time for Madrid to do what they do.

The new Zidane, Jude Bellingham caps a very impressive first season at Los Blancos, but not enough to win the Balon Dor if Rio Ferdinand has anything to say about it.

Just before the final, in dangerous new territory for football, Dortmund unveiled their latest sponsorship deal with Germany's finest arms dealers, Rheinmetall.

We also ponder what life looks like for Kylian Mbappé as his transfer to Real Madrid is mercifully confirmed after 7 drawn out years of will he won't he rumours.

  • On the latest No Nonsense Ultra's Only Preview..

Olympiacos FC had one of the greatest nights in their 100 year history as they became the first Greek team to win a European trophy after beating Fiorentina in extra time to win the Conference League. Further solidifying the Conference League as one of the best things going in football, giving clubs that otherwise never would have these nights, moments they'll never forget.

Jose Mourinho is off to Fenerbache in a match that could be made in Heaven for the man who loves controversy and scandal.

Enzo Maresca was confirmed as Chelsea's new manager, and he has exactly as much hair as you think he does.

On the rest of the episode available on our Patreon, we also offer up a preview of the Champions League final between Dortmund and Madrid, with some of our patented 'ABSOLUTES' and we also discover what Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been up to since retiring.

  • An all time great dramatic FA Cup run came to a pretty shocking end as Man United in one of their worst seasons in recent history managed to beat Man City comfortably in the final.

With rumours before the game that Erik Ten Hag would be getting sacked regardless of the result, it seems now that everything has changed thanks to his starboys Mainoo and Garnacho.

What next for Pep Guardiola's City? And does one measly unprecedented 4th Premier League title in a row cut it anymore?

  • On the latest No Nonsense Ultra's preview, the impossible Leverkeusen dream proved impossible as their unbeaten run came to an end with Atalanta winning the Europa League, thanks to an incredible hattrick from former pod favourite, Ademola Lookman.

The managerial merry-go-round is in full effect as Pochettino leaves Chelsea by "mutual" consent just as things were starting to turn around.

On the rest of the episode available over on our Patreon we also talk Vincent Kompany failing upward into the Bayern Munich job, why the likes of Kieran McKenna and De Zerbi are the hot new managers on the block, and what next for Ten Hag (this was recorded literally minutes before it was announced he's actually sacked)

We also talk about Jordan Henderson's incredible fall from grace and Rashford's snubbing from the England Euro's squad

  • As the curtain falls on another Premier League season, things wrapped up pretty much as expected.

Arsenal are the latest victims of the Man City machine, as a near perfect Premier League run in was over 2 minutes in to the final day thanks to a brace from player of the season Phil Foden.

4 in a row now for Manchester City, and 6 of the last 7 league titles go to Pep Guardiola's men, has the Premier League been the farmers league all along?

We give our thoughts on an entertaining, but also disastrous season for the league as each week was controversy after controversy.

  • In a jam packed Ultra's only epiosde we discuss how it took just under a full season for Ange Postecoglou to be hit full force by the Spurs mentality, after one of the stangest potential deciding games of all time as Tottenham faced Man City.

Aston Villa however, were much more familiar with the history of the Tottenham and celebrated in style as they hosted a black tie event knowing full well that they were going to be watching 4th place be secured.

Speaking of VAR, Anthony Gordon questioned it's use after having his ankle trampled in the box was seemingly ignored against Man United.

On the rest of the episode available only on our Patreon, we go through Netflix's latest football offering, Attack On Wembley, a documentary about the chaos surrounding the Euro 2020 (2021*) final, we also ask what next for Villa and talk about the Wolves vote to scrap VAR starting next season.

  • In yet another summing up of the season, Old Trafford literally caved in around Ten Hag's Man United as Arsenal saw off their last "top 6" challenge of the season.

In a title race that's tighter than ever, it's never felt so hopeless. As Arsenal's near perfect record doesn't look like it will be enough to stop the Man City machine. But you can't say they didn't give it a good go!

Kylian Mbappé officially said his goodbyes to PSG, putting an end to the most well known secret in football history.

With West Ham deciding that good isn't good enough, David Moyes is on the way out, and we have the PERFECT job for him if he's looking.

  • After missing our chance to record earlier in the week we briefly catch up on the Casemiro character assasination by Jamie Carragher after Man United's 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace.

We then get into the meat of the episode, our little glimpse into this weeks Ultra's only European episode.

We cover the Bayern downfall which may have been spurred on by some bizarre man management choices from outgoing coach Thomas Tuchel as Real Madrid's clutch on the Champions League refuses to loosen.

Dortmund are in the final and for a lot of the team it's now or never.

The PSG experiment officially comes to an end as project give it to Mbappé fails to get past the CL semi finals.

In the rest of the episode available over on our Patreon we also cover the curious case of Harry Kane's legacy, the incredible story of Bayer NeverLosin and much more!

  • The greatest Champion's League of all time continues with some more top notch knockout games.

Real Madrid looked as unstoppable as ever while Bayern also looked pretty damn good in a 2-2 draw, if only it weren't for that darn Kim Min-jae says Tuchel.

Dortmund won the home leg against PSG thanks to a goal from the young as ever Füllkrug and a star performance from Jadon Sancho. Another blight on Ten Hag's man management?

Jamie Carragher did some investigative journalism as he sampled the Yellow Wall and all of its many alcoholic delights.

On the rest of the Ultra's only episode over on our Patreon we also cover the Europa League semi finals, Aston Villa's surprising defeat to Olympiakos in the Conference League, and a Chelsea Spurs game where Tottenham were once again lax dealing with set pieces.

  • It's everyones favourite time of the season where things become MATHEMATICALLY CONFIRMED.

Liverpool look officially out of the title race after a 2-2 draw with West Ham which saw yet another incredible moment of inept refereeing and a Salah and Klopp sideline bust up.

Arsenal got through a North London Derby with a 3-2 win over Tottenham. But despite being 3-0 up at half time and some easy set piece goals, a combo of poor refereeing and a blunder from David Raya almost gifted the game to Spurs.

An introduction of a Premier League salary cap seems to have raised some alarm bells in Manchester as Man United almost instantly put the word out that EVERYONE is for sale this summer.

  • It looks all but over for Liverpool as a dejected Klopp sighed after they lost to Merseyside rivals Everton for the first time in Goodison Park in 13 years.

Where has it all gone wrong for Liverpool? Can Klopp really have any blame for Nunez missing 1 on 1's?

Pochettino but his foot in his mouth by announcing this Arsenal game was a chance for his squad to prove they are not just 'Cole Palmer FC'...oh dear.

A great win for Everton see's them all but mathematically safe from relegation this year, but are Everton doomed to play Dyche-ball in relegation battles for the rest of their days.

  • Man United gifted us yet another fixture of madness, this time giving up a 3-0 lead to almost lose 4-3 to Coventry in the FA Cup semi final

In the midst of the most embarrassing win in history, only one man was celebrating which begs the question, does Antony know who he's playing for?

Man City also made their way past the FA Cup semi final, with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea after a Nicholas Jackson disaster-class. But with 120 minutes played midweek, Pep Guardiola made sure to voice his displeasure after the game.

With Liverpool and Arsenal back on top of the league, things weren't so simple down at the bottom of the table as Everton won the deduction derby vs Nottingham Forest after not 1, not 2 but 3 penalty shouts at the hands of Ashley Young. Nottingham have seen enough and now they've lost their patience with the PGMOL.

  • One of the best Champions League knockout rounds in history continued to excite with upsets across the board as lowly teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich managed to stop the might Premier League giants.

Man City were knocked out by Madrid after a particularly mad penalty shootout in a game which apparently Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland didn't want to finish?

Arsenal still can't get by Bayern Munich in Europe, and while things look bleak for Arsenal this week, there are still signs of progress.

In the rest of the episode available on our Patreon we cover the two most exciting games of the round as Dortmund won a thriller over Atletico and Barca absolutley collapsed against PSG.

  • In a weekend which should have been dominated by Arsenal and Liverpool's slip ups, Chelsea managed to make a routine dismantling of Everton and turn it into a showcase of how much of a shambles they are as a squad.

After a rapid hat trick from Cole Palmer, things were looking good, but once it was time to take a penalty to further the hammering, the Chelsea squad saw their oppurtunity to stat pad and struck!

Arsenal and Liverpool had the same issues as they were unable to put the ball in the net no matter how hard they tried, if only they had a certain League Two level striker!

We got in a bit of hot water after we dared speak ill of Robbie Keane's famous celebration

As Leverkeusen secured a famous Bundesliga title, Cathal thinks back on some harsh words he had for one of their players, and puts together an 11 of players who left too soon.
