Poor hydration during long-distance running is one of the most common self-induced performance problems. The good news is that it’s preventable, but hydration can quickly become confusing if you don’t understand the basics. There are many factors involved. In this episode, Kramer breaks down a practical approach to hydration strategy, including when to use carbohydrates, electrolytes, and plain water. Each has its place, but the key is finding the right balance. Don’t overdrink, and definitely don’t underdrink.
