  • In this special episode of the Football Daily, former England goalkeeper Joe Hart travels to Liverpool to meet Alisson Becker for an exclusive deep dive into life as a goalkeeper - both on and off the pitch.

They discuss their love of the sport and the constant challenges of how to improve in the game. Alisson lets us in on his motivations and the inspiration that he has received from his faith and family, and opens up about the passing of his father.

Alisson also speaks about how he has adapted into becoming one of the leaders in this current squad alongside Virgil van Dijk, Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister. He also praises the work that has been done so far by the new head coach Arne Slot and what has changed for them since Jurgen Klopp left the club.

  • Fletch alongside Don, Kev and Nigel look ahead to another busy weekend in the Premier League and start with the big news that Manchester City midfielder Rodri will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.

And staying on the injury front…the guys get into a heated debate as to who is the best goalkeeper in the league after the news that Raya is a doubt ahead of Arsenal’s game against Leicester City.

Also with three former West Ham captains on the pod – chat naturally turns to what is going on at the club at the moment, and what can be done to improve results that haven’t gone the way for Julen Lopetegui and his team.

Fletch, Don, Kev and Nigel then turn their attention to Manchester United against Tottenham – and how Erik ten Hag’s side need to get back to winning ways.
