You’ve got King Charles III, the King of England, representing the very institution America broke away from…
…standing in a room full of American political elites.
And what happens?
Applause.
Cheers.
A standing ovation.
Now contrast that with the so-called “No Kings” rhetoric we’ve been hearing non-stop.
“No kings” when it comes to Donald Trump.
“No kings” when it comes to strong leadership in America.
“No kings” when it comes to enforcing constitutional authority.
But when an actual king walks in?

Watching political figures who claim to defend “democracy”
…show admiration for the very symbol of hereditary power.
Now let’s go deeper.
Because this isn’t just about a dinner or a moment of applause.
It’s about a mindset.
A mindset that says:
Strong leadership from within America is dangerous
But symbolic power from outside America is admirable
Constitutional authority is suspicious
But global influence and elite approval is acceptable
And while all of this is happening…
We’ve seen attempts to silence voices here at home.
People like Charlie Kirk facing shutdowns, disruptions, and resistance when speaking.
We’ve seen Trump removed from platforms, censored, attacked politically and culturally.
So let’s be honest about what’s going on.
This isn’t about opposing “kings.”
It’s about opposing certain voices.
And here’s the bigger picture most people aren’t talking about:
Over time, America has slowly adopted systems and structures that resemble the very centralized control we once rejected.
Not in name.
But in function.
Bureaucracies that aren’t directly accountable
Policies driven by elites rather than citizens
Cultural pressure to conform rather than debate
The difference?
We still have something they didn’t have under monarchy:

I’m going to say this plainly because it needs to be said.
Over a year ago, during our local convention here in Alamance County, I laid out a full plan. Not theory, not talk, but a real plan of action. Community engagement, social media growth, showing up to events, building visibility, expanding beyond the same small circles. I ran for chairman on that vision.
This is not a knock on our current chairman. He’s a good man and doing what he can. But good intentions are not enough when reality is staring us in the face.
The Alamance County Democrats are showing up. They’re visible. They’re present. They’re engaging with the community at events like the Dogwood Festival. Meanwhile, we’re asking, “Where were we?”
That question shouldn’t even need to be asked.
Local politics is not won in meetings, emails, or internal conversations. It’s won out in the community. It’s won at festivals, parades, local gatherings, and yes, even places that may not be traditionally comfortable for Republicans. If voters are there, we should be there. Period.
We cannot afford to pick and choose where we show up. We need to be everywhere. More importantly, we need to be there consistently.
I said it back then and I’ll say it again now: we need canopies at major events, volunteers rotating in shifts, candidates shaking hands, and a visible, welcoming presence. Not once in a while. Every time.
Now let me be clear about something else. I’m not speaking from the sidelines as someone with unlimited time or resources. I live like most people in Alamance County. I work. I take care of my family. I juggle responsibilities like everyone else. I cannot do this alone, and no one person can.
That’s the point.
We need a team. We need organization. We need to break out of the same small group mentality and start building something bigger. That means bringing in new volunteers, empowering people who want to help, and actually using the energy that exists instead of letting it sit idle.
Because here’s the reality: 2026 is not some throwaway election. It’s a Senate race. A tight one. And we are in a battleground state. Unaffiliated voters are growing fast, and they are not loyal to either party. They’re watching. They’re deciding based on who shows up and who connects.
Alamance County is not just a “bedroom community.” It’s a strategic center in North Carolina. And right now, we are not acting like it.
While we debate internally and focus on the wrong priorities, the other side is building relationships, earning trust, and gaining ground. That should concern every Republican who cares about winning, not just talking about winning.
I’ve offered before to help organize, to set up booths, to be part of the solution. That offer still stands. But this cannot depend on one person or a handful of people. This has to be a coordinated effort.
We need to get serious about grassroots again.
Show up. Engage. Grow.
Because if we don’t, we’re not just falling behind, we’re giving away opportunities we may not get back.

I remember when people were told to stay home, close their businesses, and not question anything. If you did question it, you were labeled dangerous.
“No Kings” sounds powerful, but do the actions match the words?
Power didn’t shrink, it expanded. Rules weren’t applied equally. Speech, movement, and information were controlled in ways many accepted without question.
You don’t need a king when a system can control speech, jobs, and daily life. You don’t need a crown when power flows through executive actions and unelected influence.
This isn’t about left vs right. It’s about whether Americans still recognize when power crosses the line.
You can’t chant “No Kings” while defending concentrated power. You can’t claim liberty while accepting control.
