Casey is back. And in true fashion, creators are picking up vlogging again. So I got my camera, my mic and gorilla pod ready to experience this vlog lifestyle myself. Only to find out that… It’s so frikkin' hard! I quickly found out that watching a vlog is an entirely different experience than filming one. So I sat down with a vlogger who can keep me as engaged as Casey can - which we both know, doesn’t happen often. You might know him from a previous episode: @chrismeetschris

We’re talking about storytelling, filming the right building blocks for a vlog and It get’s especially juicy when we start talking about the edit.Links:

Today on the Creator Secrets show, I'm sitting down with Valentin from Creative Ties. As a creator following the same path of creativity, our paths were bound to cross! We're asking ourselves the question where to find all the creatives in Europe, what language you should go with when creating content in Europe and some mistakes, tips and secrets we learned along the way to make better stories.

In this episode I'm having a conversation about Burn Out. To help me with that, I invited Eline: she is a lifelong friend, lifelong learner, life coach and finishing her studies in psychology. Basically she’s an advocate for living a life that is tailored to you. In this episode I’m picking her brain to understand the concept of burnout.
If you want to be a successful creator you’ll understand me when I say there’s a heavy burden on your shoulders. You have a lot of expectations from yourself, your audience, possible sponsors and other partners. That’s why I wanted to have this conversation, to understand burnout and it’s red flags, but also how we deal with our mental health once we take a tumble.
I took everything I learned and narrowed it down in a new video that is now also available on my youtube channel.

I'm sitting down with VFX artist and Youtuber @IgnaceAleya and his partner @ArnaudMelis, to dissect their success on youtube and ask a few hard questions: Should you go niche or broad as a new Youtuber? How do you find focus with your channel? And what should you do to get viewers to click and watch on your videos in the first place?
Whether you are a beginner or already on your way, this is a good youtube nerd chat to get you inspired again!

In this episode I’m sitting down with the guys behind the youtube channel of Ignace Aleya. You might know Ignace as a vfx artist, host of the channel and generally kicking hollywoods butt from his lazy chair here in Belgium. His partner Arnaud Melis helps him behind the scenes with taking care of the business side, like a genius I might add.
In part 1 we dive a bit deeper into the mindset of being a youtuber, how Ignace and Arnaud met and when they finally decided to make the leap to full time youtube and make it a business. Hell, youtube on itself isn’t easy, but they show the importance of having two minds, and two personalities, working as one.

Creator Secrets, Season 2 has dropped folks! In this episode we're talking with behavior analyst Ryan O'Donnell about procrastination, productivity hacks (why they don't seem to work most of the times) and why you might have to look a little deeper to really understand why you are binging that Netflix show instead of getting to work (yeah, I see you!).
If you want to learn more about this, you can find more on Ryan's channels: @thedailyba and @theryanodotcom -
The world is going to sh*t. We don’t need activism anymore, we need action. It's time to put that creativity to good use. Join @carlospimentel__ and myself while we're talking about our initiative @creatorsforclimate. Where it started, why it matters and where we're going. Our aim is to close the gap between science and culture. And in our eyes, creators are the key!

Craft and persistence are two of the main ingredients in reaching your goals as a creator. In this episode I sit down with @kevin.j.thomson where we talk about his work as a photographer and creator. Shooting Behind the scenes and specials for feature films and television is his main game. However, analog photography is something we both share as a passion. Hard work ALWAYS pays off.

When traveling you have to get creative to push out some great work. Minimal setups, less access to inspiration on the web,...
In this episode I'm talking with @janethijs from @just.jane.arts on how the travel life intervenes with your creativity.
She's an amazing creator in the more traditional arts and started out exploring the world of calligraphy & hand lettering.
What can we learn across the arts?
