  • Hi everyone welcome back!

    Kayla’s back too!

We everyone enjoyed the special episode we had last week with our guests. We plan on having in guest more often, just to give some more insight about topics that they are more educated.

In saying that we have had a few events canceled to control the spread. So covering the events is a little shorter than planned.

At Melbourne Fashion Week we cover some of our FAVES!

    Stella McCartney

    Toni Maticevski

    Paolo Sebastian

Andddd our FAVE made a special appearance very Naomi Campbell-esque.

Australian Grand Prix this weekend as well?! Is it even happening?!

    Listen to hear more…

In news following the Harvey Weinstein court case.

Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison for two felony charges.

We cover it all in the last week of fashion and news in pop culture.

Love always, Heather & Kayla xo

  • OUR FIRST GUESTS!!!!

We are so proud to release this interview. We sat down with a bottle of vegan wine and two fantastic little blonde Australian girls with a dream. A BIG DREAM! To take over summers worldwide with their incredible bikini label.

Vrindy and Ramana Benson founded Lahana (then Ohana!!) Swim in their tiny Tweed Heads apartment after realising there were just NO incredible swimsuits for the sexy generation of women we have around us today. They needed the perfect cut and something to tan those cheeks so they created the « basic babe » and ran from there, by ran we mean RAN.

These honey’s have not stopped and they have grown their girl tribe (Lahana means tribe in an Indian language) to incredible heights and their swimsuits are now worn across the world in every ocean.

They recently started Lahana Active after buying a smaller business and sky rocketing that as well.

We asked them all about their business and how they began, what advice they had for passionate young business people and how they plan to prepare for a greener future.

    PLUS SO MUCH MORE.

This podcast deserves a wine so sit down with a glass and let us know on social media what you guys think!

Love always Heather & Kayla xo

    Jil Sanders!

We have to buy everything in this collection! Boss babe chic. We felt empowered just watching it!

    Watch here> https://youtu.be/5NFfaYtyhZg

    Versace!

Very moody to open! With such a vibe, structure, all black and white, heavy 70 black sunglasses.

We see a lot of 90s vibes still happening!

Let’s be honest though .. We think Donatella loves the 90s.

    Watch here > https://youtu.be/CSNve1zdxwo

In the social media world, we saw Nikita Dragun slip into Milan Fashion Week for the first time!

OG supermodel Hadid, Yolanda joined her beautiful daughters for a family affair on the Off White runway.

Lots happened in Milan this year, we are here for it!

The #METOO movement has officially gotten its first point in their court. Harvey Weinstein was found GUILTY in a New York court of CRIMINAL SEXUAL ACT IN THE FIRST DEGREE AND RAPE IN THE THIRD DEGREE.

They're our favourites. Check them out to see why they're some of our top ready to wear designers.

This week, we also have some heavy topics to discuss in light of Caroline Flack, UK presenter and television host who was ridiculed in the media. Bullying is REAL and it is NOT ON. If you are struggling with mental health, please check out these links below.

We also have another incredibly sad issue this week with domestic violence, when Rowan Charles Baxter killed his wife Hannah and children Aaliyah, 6, Laianah, 4, and Trey, 3, by dousing them in petrol and setting them alight at Camp Hill, in Brisbane's south-east, at about 8.20am on Wednesday.

This is something so many Australian men and women deal with every single day. It's so unacceptable and it's so important we speak out and get help. The following organisations are a great starting point.

    1800respect

    Kids Help Line 1800 551 800

Love always Heather & Kayla xoxo

** Disclaimer, we aren't relationship or mental health professionals. We just found some incredible charities who can help men and women in awful situations who feel like there is no way out or not support. There is support out there, we have to stick together.

    The Oscars 🎞✨

    Our favourite looks:

    1. Natalie Portman wore a black and gold Dior dress accompanied by a black cape that was embroidered with the names of women directors who didn't get a nod in the top directing category. She is just, amazing.

    2. Janelle Monae wore Ralph Lauren on the red carpet.

    3. Blac Chyna in Dona Matoshi

    4. Scarlett Johansson in Oscar De La Renta

    5. Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen

    6. Julia Carey in we don’t know!!! :’( Can someone tell us?!

    Bill porter special edition:

    OH EM GEE!

This guy can do no wrong! We scream a little about Billy, again. No surprise.

Then we go over our WOMEN OF THE WEEK!

Comment yours below on our latest insta post!

DM us your thoughts on Heathers, Challenge of the week!

  • GRAMMYS!!!! 📻

    It WAS SOOOO emotional!
We talk about DEMI and that performance, how much of an angel Billie was and how humble. We touch on Lizzo of course and the power force she is and many more of the incredible moments from our favourite artists.

We also chat about Kobe!! 🥺

His passing has shocked the world so much so because when someone who seems bigger than life passes we remember how short life is. Hold your loved ones close! We are so proud of how brave Vanessa is and she, her girls and the families affected by the awful crash are in our thoughts and prayers. Take a moment this week to enjoy your family and their love ❤️

  • IT’S PARIS FASHION WEEK!

We cover our favourite designers, the greats and some you may have been sleeping on... from Chanel without Karl to Fendi and their new found love for plastering their name on everything to Donatello representing her brother Gianni and THAT Givenchy bridal collection... its been an incredible Paris Fashion Week.

We also touch on the Balenciaga Instagram... someone please explain?

  • Soooo, award season has officially begun!

Golden globes was last week and you KNOW we had to cover our favourite red carpet looks from the notorious award show.

    Our favourite red carpet looks were;

Priya and Kristen Cavallari in Cristina Ottaviano

    Billy Porter in Alex Vinash

Gwyneth Paltrow & Zoe Deutch in Fendi (notice that Fendi has a HEAVY early 70's vibe... but modern! Okay where's our invite to the Met Gala? No one knows fashion better than us at this point! Refer to the previous episode #05 for our 2020 expectations)

    Kat Graham in Georges Hobeika

    Sofia Carson in Giambattista Valli

We are also so very proud of Joaquin Phoenix and his beautiful speech and recognising the link between animal agriculture and global warming!

Also…. WTF! Meghan Markle and Harry are stepping down from their senior positions?!

We cover the iconic movement made on behalf of the two brand new parents and why they’ve decided to take a stand.

Other iconic Princesses such as Grace Kelly and Diana know how much pressure can be involved in such a role and unfortunately did not live a long prosperous life. We’re praying this decision was made in honour of women like Harry’s mother and the beautiful Grace Kelly.

After all, they were the most loved but most criticised.

    Such iconic and powerful women.

Share with us who are your favourite graceful yet powerful women!

Love always, Heather & Kayla xo

  • New 2020 energy is officially here!

Our first podcast of the year! We cover all the trends we believe will STAY and GO this year. And by cover, we mean go DEEP. All the trends you loved and loathed from 2019 - will they stay or will they be replaced?

We also cover something extremely close to our hearts; the Australian Bushfires of 2019-2020.

As some of you may know, Australia has been in danger and on fire since September. For months our beautiful country has not had support and our volunteer firefighters have been left to defend this horrible crisis alone.

We talk about it deeply and about how we can prevent it. Right now, if you have the means, you can donate through the following links.

We appreciate all the support gathered from international love over the past few days, you can’t begin to imagine how grateful we are it is finally being noticed!

Stay safe everyone, thinking of our entire Australian family during this time. May we rise in the years of recovery to come.
