  • This week’s episode of Unqualified offers equal parts laughter and life lessons as Anna and Sim welcome podcasting-aficionado, talented filmmaker, actor, comedian, comic book writer, and author - the legendary Kevin Smith (aka Silent Bob)!

You’ll quickly learn that there’s nothing silent about Silent Bob as he opens up about everything from the Fleshlight to his near-death experience to his most important life lessons.

The episode kicks off with Kevin’s personal account of his recent massive heart attack – which he delivers with the hysterical wit and humor that only a comedic genius such as himself could do. You don’t want to miss this incredibly inspiring, and strangely funny, story.

After Kevin gets over the initial shock of learning that Unqualified is an advice podcast, the team talks to Katherine, 25, from Nashville who is unsure how to handle an inappropriate situation with her husband’s best friend. Next up, Ali, a songwriter from New York, is seeking advice for how to cope with feelings of envy and guilt surrounding her slightly more successful songwriter boyfriend.

  • This week on Unqualified, Anna and Sim welcome the incredibly relatable, very charming, and brilliantly funny actress and comedian, Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, Talking Dead, Mom)!

Anna and Yvette dissect the dating world as they cover balancing a career and relationship, break-ups, celebrity dating apps, and what Yvette is looking for in a man.

On “Deal Breakers”, Yvette weighs in on male waxing habits, a peculiar career move, and cringey pet names before engaging in some hysterical role-playing with Beyoncé’s slimy (hypothetical) assistant, Kayla, on “What’s Your Next Move?”

On the phones, Olivia, who’s happily married in Everett, WA, is wondering if feelings of ‘what could have been’ with her ex are normal. Next, Michelle, 24, from Los Angeles is seeking advice on setting boundaries with a plutonic male friend that she suspects is in love with her.

Check out Yvette Nicole Brown on Mom this season! And, congrats to Sim and Amy on the birth of their son, Evan Douglas Sarna!

  • Break out your skates and spandex and get ready to fall in love with this week’s talented and charming Unqualified guest…Adam Rippon, American figure skater and Olympian!

Anna wastes no time breaking the ice with Adam, kicking off the episode by asking, “Would you wipe Dame Judi Dench’s butt?” (Spoiler Alert: He would!)

Clearly, no topic is off-limits this week as Anna and Adam candidly converse about everything from Adam’s accomplished figure skating career to condoms and hooking up at the Olympic Village.

Being the Olympian that he is, Adam champions through the Unqualified game segments, starting with “Would You Swipe Right?”, where Adam weighs in on Cirque du Soleil contortionists, raw food caterers, and UFC Fighters. And on “Dating Deal Breakers”, Adam and Anna debate dating a copper metal enthusiast, an avid Grinder user, and a dildo model.

As they head to the phones, Anna, Adam, and Sim help Sarah, 29, from Northern California who is just getting back into the dating game and needs help dealing with a recent ghosting situation. Next up is Jake, 32, calling from Minnesota to get advice on how him and his husband can appropriately incorporate pornography into their relationship.

  • Is your vision statement actually visionary?

In 1961, President John F. Kennedy turned the space race on its head by putting forth an inspiring vision – the United States would land on the moon before the end of the decade.

Of course, JFK was no rocket scientist, so it would have been easy to dismiss the idea as a crazy notion.

But thanks to the clarity with which Kennedy communicated, people could practically see American astronauts walking on the moon. Before any other nation could pull it off.

So, the actual rocket scientists – the ones who could make that vision a reality – banded together.

As you know, they nailed it. In July 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon.

But without Kennedy’s inspiring vision, that might never have happened.

    So.

What’s your big vision? Could it take your business to the “moon”?

In this episode, we discuss everything a well-crafted vision statement does for your company – and tell you exactly how to craft one as inspiring as JFK’s.

We also take you through our own vision statement, tell you how it has helped us find the best team, and talk about how it affects us everyday.

You can’t afford to be without an inspiring vision statement – or, worse, to have a lackluster vision that inspires nobody.

A well-crafted vision statement can stimulate a self-fulfilling prophecy within your team. Via @RustyLionAcad (Tweet this!)
