In November of 2021, while the world was in lockdown. Dave Davan, a farmer in the rural far north community of Herekino found two bottles of wine in his mailbox. Assuming they were a gift he drank them, little did he know one bottle had been laced with the deadly poison Paraquat. In December Dave lost his short battle and sadly passed away. Three years on his murderer walks free. Ryan journeys to the remote and isolated far north to find the answer to the question: Who Killed Dave Davan?

In Season Four of GUILT - The Night of the Bonfire, Ryan heads Down Under, to Melbourne Australia to search for the truth. What happened to Alana Cecil?

In 1989 two Swedish backpackers, Heidi Paakkonen and Sven Urban Hoglin arrived in New Zealand for the trip of a lifetime. And never went home. They were last seen alive together in Thames on April 7th 1989. One year after their mysterious disappearance Urban Hoglin's body would be found and confirmed a brutal murder. But to this day Heidi's body has never been found. Season 3 of GUILT will see Ryan attempt to finally bring an end to this mystery and send Heidi home to her family where she belongs. Ryan will uncover never before heard witnesses, fresh evidence in a Season of the podcast that really has to be heard to be believed.

RORSCHACH: MURDER AT CITY HALL recounts their final fateful day through eye-witness accounts, and then traces the path that led James Davis and his killer Niel Askew to their deaths.

In 1992, David Wood was convicted of murdering young women and girls and burying them in the desert outside El Paso, earning him the nickname the Desert Killer. More than 30 years later, his lawyers have one last chance to argue his innocence and stop his execution.

“The Last 12 Weeks” follows a team of capital defense lawyers as they try to save their client’s life. The series, produced by Serial Productions and The New York Times in collaboration with The Marshall Project, focuses on the high stakes and at times bizarre work involved in trying to halt an execution. With an extraordinary level of access to a capital case in its final stretch, the longtime death penalty reporter Maurice Chammah takes listeners into the room with the lawyers as the clock ticks down. Maurice and Alvin Melathe, a producer, follow members of the defense team as they look for alternate suspects, try to find new evidence to poke holes in the case, and track down hard-to-find witnesses.

In the end, will the lawyers’ efforts be enough to persuade a deeply skeptical court system — and stop an execution three decades in the making?

Wouter Laumans is misdaadjournalist bij Het Parool. Je kent hem waarschijnlijk als auteur van de bestseller ‘Mocro Maffia’ uit 2014. In 2019 verscheen het vervolg op dit boek: ‘Wraak’. In het verleden schreef Laumans voor NRC, Panorama en Nieuwe Revu.

Christian Flokstra is in 2008 in de advocatuur begonnen nadat hij eerst een jaar als docent en onderzoeker aan de Vrije Universiteit verbonden was. Flokstra was als strafrechtadvocaat onder meer betrokken bij grote strafzaken tegen de georganiseerde misdaad, zoals Passage, Marengo en Eris.

Ayse Çimen begon haar carrière in 2008 bij Spong Advocaten, waar ze zich heeft gespecialiseerd in het strafrecht. Sinds 2017 is Ayse partner bij Takens Admiraal Advocaten te Amsterdam. De praktijk van Çimen bestaat o.a. uit georganiseerde misdaad, witwaszaken, drugshandel, overvallen, inbraken, diefstal, moord, doodslag en overige geweldsdelicten. Op dit moment verdedigt Ayse één van de verdachten van de moord op Peter R. de Vries.
