In episode seven of Someone's Gotta Do It, I sit down with Hannah Grey. Hannah’s career path is unlike anything I've heard before. Forensic science, bar work, a decade in insolvency, working with children and finally a digital marketing business she built entirely from scratch.
She talks about her study at university and how a night on the town changed her path and lead her to where she is today. She also gives some great advice to small businesses looking to extend their reach!
This one is about resilience. And it really shows.
Hannah’s work is fantastic and she works with some really cool brands and businesses. You can find out more by following Hannah and her business page on instagram @hannahgreymarketing and @forty_and_co

In episode six of Someone's Gotta Do It, I sit down with Terry Uttley. Terry grew up on a council estate in a house filled with snakes, iguanas, pygmy goats, turkeys, tropical birds and even an eagle owl! His childhood changed everything about the way he sees the world.
He talks about how that upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for nature and the outdoors, his journey from BTEC sports teacher to outdoor education specialist, and why he believes that getting vulnerable children outside and into nature might be one of the most important things for them.
This one made me laugh more than any episode so far. But underneath the stories, there's a clear passion for what he does.

In episode five of Someone's Gotta Do It, I sit down with Fiona Dunn. This year Fiona celebrates 40 years working in the NHS. From operating theatres, to intensive care, to the moment a simple white lie saw her retrain as a midwife.
She talks about what it really takes to become a qualified midwife, the relationships she builds with the women she supports, and the switch between caring for people who are ill and caring for people who are not ill but simply bringing new life into the world.
Forty years, thousands of lives and one funny and remarkable woman.
Fiona has helped so many families over the years and has been a huge part of my own children’s lives so a special thank you goes to Fiona. Huge thank you also to all NHS staff and key workers and the amazing work they do, we are lucky to have the NHS here in the UK.

In episode four of Someone's Gotta Do It, I sit down with Rob Wright. Rob has battled mental health issues his entire life but it wasn't until a recent bipolar diagnosis that everything finally started to make sense.
He talks about growing up without the support he needed, the toll that working in the prison service took on his mental health, losing his job following his diagnosis, and the moment he found himself standing on a bridge.
He also talks about what bipolar disorder actually is, the stigma that surrounds it, and why he believes the most important thing any of us can do is talk.
This one genuinely matters. Please share it with someone who needs to hear it.
If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, you don't have to face it alone. Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 116 123 for free, any time. You can also text SHOUT to 85258 for free confidential support 24/7.

In the first ever episode of Someone’s Gotta Do It, I sit down with Martin Newton. Martin is a financial advisor and co-owner of City Investment and Insurance Services.
Martin takes us through a career built on genuinely helping people, shares stories that will completely change the way you think about what a financial advisor actually does, and gives one piece of advice that he thinks everyone should hear.
