  • What happens when a controlling partner cuts off all contact and completely vanishes with your children? In this devastating episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Michael Tranter, a grieving father breaking his silence for the first time in a long-form video interview to uncover the dark reality behind one of Britain's most shocking family massacres. In 1995, Michael arrived at his ex-partner Lesley’s house for a weekend visit, only to discover she and his four young children: Sarah Jane, Anne Marie, Stephen Paul, and Craig Jonathan; had vanished overnight without a trace. In an era before social media and mobile phones, they completely fell off the face of the earth. For five agonizing years, Michael frantically searched for his kids, unaware that Lesley had remarried a highly manipulative, controlling man named Lee Ford. The horrifying truth finally unraveled in October 2000. Following a missing person's report, a grim police forensic search exposed a monstrous crime hidden on a Cornwall property. Lee Ford had brutally murdered his wife and systematically drugged and strangled his four stepchildren, hiding their bodies under a pile of logs in a woodshed and buried deep inside a potato field. Now, with Lee Ford approaching parole eligibility and the very real threat of him walking free, Michael shares his ongoing torment, the catastrophic failures of social services safeguarding, and the public petition fighting to keep an evil predator behind bars for life.Chapters00:00 Introduction: The Shocking Murder of the Ford Family01:24 The Nightmare of Separated Parents02:22 How Michael and Lesley Met in Telford03:40 The New Man Steps In04:31 Disappearing Without a Trace07:06 A Voice at the End of the Line09:00 The Caretaker's Dark Lies10:24 The Official Missing Persons Report & The Arrest11:42 The Woodshed & Potato Field13:48 How the Killings Happened16:20 Guilty Plea17:15 The Failed Social Services Call18:19 Michael’s Active Petition21:21 Facing Unanswered Questions22:23 Fond Memories: Remembering Lesley and the ChildrenHelp Michael keep his family's killer behind bars. • Imagine your child stepping outside for a pizza and never returning. In this heartbreaking episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Nikki Knight, mother of 15-year-old Mason Rist, for her first long-form video interview exposing the reality behind the brutal Bristol double murder that shocked the nation.

On Saturday 27th January 2024, an ordinary night in South Bristol turned into an absolute nightmare. After leaving a gaming session at a mates house to walk down the road for food with his friend Max Dixon, 15 year old Mason was ambushed in a horrific case of mistaken identity. Captured entirely on a home security system, a group of teenage attackers wielding banned zombie killer knives and machetes ended two young lives in just 33 seconds.

The frantic police investigation quickly tracked the Audi Q2 getaway car, leading to the arrest of 45 year old driver Anthony Snook and four local teenagers from a rival neighborhood.

Now, months after the trial concluded with life sentences and historic convictions, Nikki breaks her silence. She opens up about the trauma of facing the court, the severe lack of social services safeguarding, and the ongoing torment of watching the killers shamelessly brag and post rap videos from inside their prison cells.Nicki has set up a charity in Mason’s name to support young people who need help. • What happens when a teenage girl vanishes on her first day of work? In this profound episode of 'Aftermath', Daisy Maskell sits down with Gemma - the sister of 16-year-old Sasha Marsden - who shares details of the horrifying Blackpool guest house murder that shook the UK.

On 31 January 2013, 16-year-old childcare student Sasha Marsden arrived at a seafront guest house in Blackpool for her first shift as a cleaner. When her parents pulled up to collect her at the end of the day, she was gone. Her employer claimed she had already left - but the devastating truth was unfolding in a narrow alleyway nearby, where a burning body was discovered hidden in plain sight.

What followed was a frantic police investigation that traced Facebook messages to 23-year-old caretaker David "Demon" Minto. After a forensic sweep exposed a massive cleanup job using luminol, investigators uncovered a chilling web of lies, missing evidence, and a blunted kitchen knife that finally nailed a predator.

Ten years later, Gemma breaks her silence to talk about the trauma of the trial, the failures of the justice system in protecting young women, and the solemn promise she made at her little sister's graveside.
