Ana Gomes, que já foi convidada neste podcast para falar de Europa quando se despediu do seu lugar de eurodeputada, vem aqui para falar de um tema muito diferente, sobre o qual tem sido uma das vozes mais ativas: corrupção. O motivo próximo é óbvio e também nele ela tem desempenhado um papel central de denúncia: o Luanda Leaks, que envolve os negócios de Isabel dos Santos. Sabemos hoje que Rui Pinto foi a fonte dos leaks. Isto tem levado muitas pessoas a sublinhar que parece haver, na justiça, na comunicação social e na política, quem ache há fugas boas e fugas más. A crítica é justa mas não esgota o debate. Que instrumentos aceitamos que um privado use para descobrir a verdade? Mais do que que damos ao Estado? Usar informação recolhida em escritórios de advogados não ataca o núcleo duro do Estado de Direito? Reconheço em Ana Gomes uma combatente incansável na denúncia da corrupção, bem distante daqueles que para beneficio próprio espalham a suspeita indiferenciada e desprezam o Estado de Direito democrático. E é por muitos lhe reconhecerem isto que a veem como uma possível candidata à Presidência da República e um antídoto para o discurso antidemocrático. Mas também é por isso que neste episódio a confrontamos com alguns dilemas que este tema nos traz.
