This is the story of a godly rivalry that spun out of control – taking in vampires, werewolves and the murders of eleven people. And behind it all, a 48th-generational satanic witch with 1,000 multiple personalities and a score to settle.
Krugersdorp, a town northwest of Johannesburg, has always had high levels of violent crime. But when South Africa’s own satanic panic kicked into full force in the early 90s, its citizens had an altogether more unholy threat on their hands...

It was August 1986 when Katherine “Katy” Hawelka started her second year at Clarkson University. She was 19 years old and looking forward to the start of classes and reuniting with her college pals. As a bright, kind and hard-working young woman, she was set to set the world on fire. Her mother and sister (who was her best friend) dropped her off on campus and after settling in Katy went out with some friends. Unfortunately Katy would never make it to the start of classes. Her precious life she would cut short when she was brutally attacked and sexually assaulted by a monster named Brian McCarthy.
Please consider signing this petition to keep Brian McCarthy from receiving parole. Katy's family has to go before the board every 24 months to keep their daughter's killer behind bars:
Petition to Deny Parole for Brian M. McCarthy
This book is a phenomenal resource and I highly recommend it to get a real look at Katy, her family and more:

Hadley and Alyssa uncover the fascinating history of Grey Gardens, the grand East Hampton estate of Big Edie and Little Edie Beale—eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lee Radziwill—that was made famous in a 1975 documentary by Albert and David Maysles. After spotlighting the iconic women and their home, the co-hosts unpack its gradual downfall: Over time, the property fell into disrepair and was overrun by cats and raccoons (and perhaps something else not of this realm?). Little Edie held onto the property until two years after her mother died in 1977. Big Edie’s spirit is said to watch over the house. Among the believers is author and Washington Post journalist Sally Quinn, who purchased the home from Little Edie in 1979 and swears it’s haunted.

In 2021, a 51-year-old man referred to as “Daddy” by the followers of his alleged sex cult, was found guilty of 8 counts of sex trafficking. Breaking any of Daddy’s rules would result in brutal punishment; including beatings, solitary confinement, and starvation.
“Daddy” kept his victims – most of them teenagers – locked up in his mansion. And all the while, he was topping music charts across the world with his era-defining R&B hits…
This is the story of the rise and fall of Robert Sylvester Kelly.

You probably know how this story ends. A cult concerned with aliens and the apocalypse coordinated the largest mass suicide ever on U.S. soil. But how much do you know about how they got there? Hannah and Suruthi untangle the surprising histories of Bonnie Nettles and Marshall Applewhite, and the convictions — around extraterrestrials and ascension, castration and sobriety, and something called “tomb time” — that eventually spelled doom for thirty-eight of their followers.
