Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Manchester United's senior management, and members of the Old Trafford regeneration task force presented plans for a new 100-thousand capacity stadium on Tuesday at Sir Norman Foster's architectural practice in London.
It's a bold design, and one that has drawn mixed reactions from fans and media. We look into the concept, the build strategy, and the persistent question of how this will all be funded.
Sir Jim has been conducting several interviews with media outlets this week and he drew attention with some eyebrow-raising comments about the club's finances and one or two players. Is it just refreshing to have a (co) owner communicating with the public, or can we expect better?

He's done it again, Bruno Fernandes may not be an alpha captain but as a player he leads by example and steps up whenever he is needed; especially when that stepping up is to a penalty kick.
Bruno holds quite a few Europa League records now, but in truth this was a team performance, one that will reassure Ruben Amorim that he can place his trust in some key players.
Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City are up next, and it's difficult to take pleasure in saying they should not provide much of an obstacle to United's momentum.

Rio and Joel are joined by former England coach and Premier League winner Joleon Lescott to discuss the reports about Kobbie Maine’s contractual situation, debate how much the midfielder is worth to the club and prospective buyers and analyse the way that Ruben Amorim tweaked his philosophy in the draw against Arsenal plus there’s a review of the performance of youngster Ayden Heaven.
There’s analysis of Arsenal’s struggles in front of goal and the type of striker that Mikel Arteta needs to buy as well as debating whether there’s a realistic prospect of the Spaniard winning a title at the Emirates. Rio also opens up a debate as to whether the club would benefit more from selling William Saliba in order to purchase Alexander Isak.
Rio discusses some data which suggests Arteta’s side are still relying on their right-hand side attack to create and score despite losing their talisman on the wing, Bukayo Saka who receives special praise from Lescott who coached him at England and reveals his single ‘world class attribute’.

Yoro reveals what it was like finishing at school to go and face Kylian Mbappe, how he deals with the pressure of people suggesting he can reach Virgil Van Dijk’s level and discusses the best and worst fashion amongst his team mates.
There’s a special shout out for Kobbie Mainoo who helped him settle at the club and Rio discusses the call he shared with Yoro when he helped persuade him to join Man Utd before he suffered an injury in pre-season.

Real Madrid’s number one joins Rio to discuss his career and achievements after he accepted a title at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. He reveals how players like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. and Antony Rudiger integrated themselves into the Madrid squad and what they’re like off the pitch.
Courtois reserves special praise for Diego Simeone’s winning culture and obsession and credits the three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid as a huge reason why he has achieved so much.
There’s analysis of players like Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema and reflections on why Belgium’s golden generation were not able to win anything.
Jose Mourinho played a big role in Courtois’ development so he shares stories about the ’Special One’ including how he intentionally blanked him after a match and why his constant striving to tap into the mentality of players may have contributed to players like Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah needing to move away from Stamford Bridge.

Serial winner Marco Materazzi sits down in Qatar with Rio to discuss his favourite victory, the headbutt by Zinedine Zidane and why nobody can compare to the ability of his former team mate R9 Ronaldo.
Materazzi looks back at his time with Jose Mourinho and opens up about why he had such a positive impact on the treble-winning Inter Milan side.
After spending 10 months in the Premier League with Everton, Materazzi also discusses how the game has evolved in England and in Italy and reveals who his idols were when he was beginning his career.
You’ll also hear why Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasn’t able to make an impact at Inter in the same way Samuel Eto’o did and why defending now is ‘easier’ when compared to his playing days.
R9 = Cristiano and Messi Combined!

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús and Seb Stafford-Bloor for a deep-dive into domestic and European matters across the continent.
Last week’s Champions League first legs left some results more conclusive than others… we’re looking at you, PSV 1-7 Arsenal! But there’s still plenty of intrigue with the ties between Liverpool and PSG, Real and Atleti and Barca and Benfica finely poised.
In La Liga, Real warmed up for their trip across the capital with a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano, while Atleti were on the wrong end of that scoreline in a dramatic late defeat at Girona. Meanwhile Barcelona’s game with Osasuna was postponed just 20 minutes before kick-off following the sudden death of first team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia.
In Ligue 1, PSG’s B-team made light work of Rennes to move 16 points clear at the top of the table - while Paulo Fonseca began his nine month (!) touchline ban as he watched his side beat Nice 2-0 from the stands to put themselves right in the mix for European football next season.
Max Callegari - host of Pressing on Canale 5 - joins us to run the rule over all the Serie A action, which included humiliation for Juve, a first win in six for Napoli and spookily similar comebacks for Milan and Inter.
And in the Bundesliga, there was history as for the first time in nearly 20 years Bayern, Leverkusen and Dortmund all lost on the same matchday.

Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Rory Smith, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Pol Ballús in tow to put all the action from across the continent under the microscope.
It’s advantage Inter in Serie A as the Nerazzurri moved three points clear at the top of the table thanks to their 2-0 win over title rivals Atalanta. Napoli lost ground after being held to their seventh draw of the season by lowly Venezia in a game they somehow failed to score in.
In La Liga, Barcelona came from two goals down to stun Atléti 4-2 and regain top spot, after Kylian Mbappé’s brace in their 2-1 win at Villarreal. Plenty are still reeling in the red and white side of Madrid after THAT Champions League exit…
Over in France, PSG celebrated their Champions League heroics by extending their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table to a whopping 19 points after their 3-1 win vs Marseille.
And in the Bundesliga, Laterkusen returned in their dramatic 4-3 win at Stuttgart, while Bayern were held by Union Berlin which means their advantage at the top is cut to six points.
