  • A summer barbecue transformed into a nightmare when lightning split the sky above Somerset, England. Peter Williamson dashed across his rain-soaked lawn to rescue his terrified dog, unaware that his next step would carry him beyond the boundaries of our world.

His family watched in horror as a blinding flash illuminated his silhouette against the stormy sky. When their vision cleared, Peter had evaporated into thin air.

The police launched a search, but found no footprints, no scorch marks, and no explanation for how a man could disappear from a walled garden. Sixteen witnesses swore they watched him vanish in plain sight.

Three days passed before Peter materialized in his backyard, wearing unfamiliar clothes and carrying items that defied explanation. His memories painted a picture of a hospital that both existed and didn't exist, where reality shimmered like heat waves rising from summer pavement.

The investigation into his disappearance uncovered something extraordinary: evidence suggesting Peter had slipped through a crack between parallel universes. His impossible story forces us to question everything we think we know about the nature of reality.

  • Hour 1

Boomer is back today and has a reaction to Aaron Glenn’s press conference as he wasn’t here yesterday. We talked about the important hires he has for offensive and defensive coordinators. We talked about Pete Alonso and the Mets and how it compares to Saquon Barkley and the Giants. Boomer seems angry at all the money the Dodgers are spending. He said the Yankees will ‘cake walk’ into the World Series even though we will be complaining about them in July and August. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day and starts with Aaron Boone, in studio, with BT & Sal from yesterday. He talked about losing to the Dodgers and their giant payroll. Hal Steinbrenner also talked about the Dodgers payroll and ‘we’ll see who’s there at the end’. Mike McCarthy is not planning to coach this year. Looks like Kellen Moore is going to get the Saints job. Dean Blandino was on SiriusXM and said even his brother thinks the NFL is fixed for the Chiefs. The Rangers lost and Boomer is angry. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Liam Coen’s history and how odd it is. We also talked about the dominant defense that Steve Spaguolo is running with the Chiefs.
    Hour 2

We talked about Tom Brady’s ownership in the Raiders and the conflict of interest with broadcasting games for FOX. Pete Carroll made it seem like he’s going to be very involved. Boomer said this is cause for concern because it’s a competitive league and there are jobs on the line every week. How is Roger Goodell not getting involved in this? Boomer said the NFL wants the biggest names doing the games. Anthony in Belleville read an article that said Boomer almost went to the Chargers after his one season doing Monday Night Football. Boomer said he always wanted to play for the Bears. Boomer said he did have a chance to play for the Packers. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with audio of Aaron Boone with BT & Sal yesterday talking about having to discipline or motivate players. C-Lo and Boomer got into the Rangers. BT asked Boone about losing Juan Soto. An ‘astrologist’ called into C-Mac to talk about why Pete Alonso and the Mets are not going to work out. And the Rangers lost at MSG last night. In the final segment of the hour, Gio had to pick up 4 prescriptions yesterday for the family and there was an issue.
    Hour 3

Phil Simms joins us in his usual Wednesday spot. We of course talked about the Chiefs win over the Bills and why they always seem to win the tough games. Phil doesn’t like teams chasing points at the start of the game going for two. We also talked to Phil about the Commanders/Eagles game, specifically Jayden Daniels and Saquon Barkley. We also talked about the draft and Phil will be really surprised if the Giants don’t end up with one of the top 2 quarterbacks. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with audio from Aaron Boone on with BT & Sal. He talked about the Dodgers payroll and their crazy spending. Jon Gruden talked about players vs ‘playas’. In the final segment of the hour, we got an answer on the NJ drones but it was not a satisfactory answer.

  • Hour 1

Jerry is in for Boomer today so it’s Gio & Jerry. We talked about the Jets press conference with Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. Glenn said everything Jets fans would want to hear. There are still decisions to be made, including what to do with Aaron Rodgers. If not Rodgers, who are they realistically getting? How much did Glenn have to do with the Lions successful turnaround? When teams are stuck in quarterback hell, like the Jets, it is going to be tough on the head coach. Rodgers comes with a lot of baggage that a head coach has to deal with. Jerry has hope for the Jets, as both the Red Sox and Cubs figured it out. I mean, we had a Cubs/Cleveland World Series. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with the sounds of Aaron Glenn from the press conference. Darren Mougey referenced getting a Super Bowl back to the Jets. Glenn said ‘get used to winning’. He will not be calling the defense because he wants to be ‘the best head coach’. Pete Carroll met the media and was interrupted by Marshawn Lynch. Jerry Jones talked about the risk of hiring Brian Schottenheimer since he has no head coaching experience. In the final segment of the hour, Brett from Long Island vs C-Mac is now a YouTube video on the WFAN channel. A caller said maybe the Chiefs don’t make mistakes so they don’t get flagged.
    Hour 3

There’s a pic on X that shows a 45 year old Tom Brady compared to a 38 year old Kenny Stabler. Kenny looks no less than 55 years old. Kenny was probably drinking and smoking a lot. Gio thinks it’s really the food we’re eating here compared to Europe, where people still smoke and still look healthier than a lot of people in America. We took calls on people looking older back a few decades ago than we do now. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Aaron Glenn talking about the sting of losing the Championship game to Denver and how he came to get that back for the Jets. Aaron Glenn mentioned in yesterday’s press conference that he still thinks about the championship game loss to the Broncos and wants to get that back for the Jets. Gio said they have been in quarterback hell and they’re still there. Glenn needs a great quarterback and a great offensive coordinator. Ben Johnson took the Bears job because of Caleb Williams. Mike Vrabel took the Patriots job because of Drake Maye. Jerry was not impressed by Maye, but Gio thought he was pretty good. We have to give Glenn a learning curve. We can’t expect him to be a great coach in season one. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day, but first we talked about Gio’s dog situation. Jerry used to have a tick where he would say, ‘and a ballsack’ in the WFAN newsroom. C-Lo starts with the sounds of Aaron Glenn from his opening press conference. • The history of medicine goes back to the dawn of mankind when ancient healers used special herbs to treat illnesses.

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, laid the foundation for modern medical practice: observation, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. His work set the stage for centuries of medical progress.

In the 19th century, Edward Jenner created a smallpox vaccine, and Louis Pasteur proved microorganisms caused disease. The 20th century brought antibiotics, medical imaging, and organ transplants. In the past 400 years, the human lifespan has doubled.

But something happened to medicine along the way. It became an industry. A profitable one.

President Eisenhower warned against creating a "military-industrial complex" because if you make war profitable, you'll always have war. He was right.

So, here's a cynical question: If you make illness profitable, will you always have illness?

In recent years, trillions have been spent on cancer research and therapies. That's a lot of people getting rich from a disease that's already been cured.
