Raising girls is no joke. Add exceptionalities like giftedness, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, and anxiety into the mix, and you may feel like you're the only one struggling to figure it all out. You're not.
As the mom of a neurodivergent teenage daughter, I know what it's like to help her navigate the challenges of school, friendships, and family dynamics. Once we finally figured out why she struggled in certain situations but not in others, life got so much better. But it took almost 15 years to understand her unique wiring, and that’s way too long.
I created this podcast to shorten the learning curve for others and increase awareness and understanding of female neurodiversity. Join me as we learn together how we can help our exceptional girls be seen, supported, and celebrated.

Adoptive parents are more than aware that their child has suffered great loss in relinquishment, and they long to create a haven of love for their child.
However, many times, the adopted child pushes love away. This can be because of RAD and the trauma that keeps hijacking the child’s brain.
Some children don’t exhibit pushback behavior until their teen years or when they are searching for their biological roots.
Adoptive parents must prepare themselves for this possibility by hearing the stories of other parents. They will realize:
1. They are not alone.
2. The pushback isn’t proof of ineffective parenting.
3. Their child can heal.
Stay tuned for upcoming podcasts and updates about my upcoming book. -
Sleep is essential for children's physical and mental health, as well as their overall well-being. Sleep deprivation can cause a variety of issues, including difficulty concentrating, irritability, and a weakened immune system. Sleep deprivation can also contribute to the development of chronic health conditions like obesity and diabetes. Furthermore, research has shown that children who get enough sleep perform better academically, as sleep is necessary for memory consolidation and learning. Furthermore, adequate sleep is essential for emotional regulation and can aid in the prevention of behavioural issues such as hyperactivity and impulsivity. To ensure that their children get enough sleep, parents should establish a consistent sleep schedule and a relaxing bedtime routine.
Encourage them to avoid using screens for an hour before going to bed and to sleep in a dark, quiet, and cool room. A good night's sleep not only benefits children in the short term, but it also aids in their development into healthy, happy, and well-adjusted adults.
These tools will hopefully assist you in providing the tools for your child to sleep better. Leave a review and let us know how you go.
