And what we see now (pretty much everywhere in society) is the toxic mimic.
True beauty is sacred.
It’s is a reveal, not a cover up.
Your essence dancing in your cells.
It has everything to do with embracing your sensuality and pleasure.
And nothing to do with "fixing yourself" or trying to achieve some kind of manufactured ideal of perfection.
Beauty is a manifestation of the divine.
Your soul shine.
And of course it has no expiration date.

If feeling irritated, wired and tired is your normal, you're not alone.

Perfectionism is sneaky thing.
It's usually creeps in during childhood as an attempt to feel safer in a world that didn't actually feel that safe.
In response to a confusing and overwhelming world (even if our parents did a great job), our young selves can easily feel uneasy and take on a belief that if we do things perfectly, we'll get our needs met.
We'll feel safe.
We'll feel accepted.
We'll prove ourselves worthy.
We'll earn the love we crave.
We'll be ok.
It's a trauma response.
And it shuts down our feminine and blocks our sensuality.
Perfectionism shows up in many different ways.
It hides behind all kinds of limiting beliefs and unconscious habits that can drive our behavior more than we realize.
And drive us into the ground.
Sabotage our creativity, pleasure and joy.
Keep us from experiencing love, true intimacy and connection.
Keep us from living the life we want to live.
Letting go of perfectionism is a process; a healing journey.
And while it's a common culprit when it comes to blocks to our sensuality, pleasure is actually the antidote.
There are three decisions every woman needs to make about pleasure that can quell perfectionism for good.
And open new pathways for joyful expansion.

Happy Valentine's Day! 🌹🎉💘
A day when many people celebrate love.
All kinds of love, but especially romantic love.
Romantic love is a powerhouse isn't it?
And so layered.
It's one of the most compelling experiences a human can have.
I think most people would agree;
to swoon is divine.
We see the world differently in that rose-colored state.
Our mood soars.
We're tapped into our creative genius.
We feel limitless.
We look and feel radiant, vital and alive.
Our immunity gets a huge boost.
I mean, who wouldn't want to live like that all of the time?
I believe we can.
At least most of the time.
This, (from my perspective), is what Tantra is truly about.
The path of remembering, celebrating & embodying the divine love that you are.
Culture tells us that love is something we need to seek for outside of ourselves.
And that when we "get it" we need to find ways to "keep it".
And when we "lose it"...well you know how that goes.
And how devastating that can be.
The Tantric truth bomb I want to share with you on this day of love is this:
Epic romance & sacred intimacy with another human begin with the art of sacred self love.
It's an inside job.
It's a spiritual practice.
It's a cultivation.
What I'm talking about here is the art of becoming your own best lover in the most reverent of ways.
Becoming a master of your own divine instrument and a master receiver of pleasure and of life.
This is the Venusian initiation we never got.
And boy has that lack of initiation has put us in a tailspin when it comes to love.
We're taught to come to the banquet of romance starving.
And it's a recipe for disaster.

The evidence on the impact our emotions have on our quality of life is impossible to refute. Our emotions play a huge role on how we feel in our bodies.

It's so important to have a big picture, North Star, Goddess Avatar vision.

It's certainly not about being perfect, but it is about caring about and aligning with the vision of the Goddess you were born to be.
And it can and should be fun.

These are wild times we're living in.
So much going on.

They certainly are.

When the book Eat, Pray Love came out I was worlds away from grabbing my passport and hopping on a flight to find myself.
I love the book (and love travel) and I think Elizabeth Gilbert is amazing, but the adventure she so beautifully describes; one woman's search for everything, wasn't happening for this woman.
Not then.
At the time EPL hit the stands I was hitting the gas on my Mom Taxi hard.
Literally and figuratively.
I was in the midst of raising & homeschooling 3 boys (which ends up being my most profound spiritual journey to date), caring for 3 dogs, 2 cats and trying to keep that crazy circus running as smoothly as possible.
Most days it didn't. 😂
My husband was doing his best to survive medical school residency.
Our relationship was on the rocks.
Bank account? Scary.
I was entering midlife exhausted, resentful and wanting more.
Way more.
I was desperately seeking for sure, but it was clear that my search for everything needed to begin in my own backyard.
(Which, btw, was a lovable overgrown 2 acre mess of wildflowers, weeds and baseballs.)
And in hindsight thank God & Goddess for that.
You don't need to go to Bali, Thailand or Tulum.
Sure, retreats can be amazing, but from my experience, that's not where true transformation happens.
Plus, as they say re-entry can be a bitch.
There's a better way.
You can land it in your landscape.
Right in the place where you live.
And when you do?
How sweet it is.
You'l be the proud owner of a true, sustainable and lasting transformation that no one can take away from you.
Plus, when you do travel?
You'll have a hellava lot more fun.
