Blumhouse adapt this popular horror franchise that dominated much of the 2010s, performing remarkably well particularly for an indie game. Will the simple, jump-scare focused gameplay translate to a movie though?

Produced by Capcom for release in Japan, Dead Rising: The Movie presents a new chapter in the developers second biggest zombie horror series. This low budget film may be lacking in budget but it makes up for it with plenty of whacky characters and inventive zombie action. Does it make for as enjoyable a movie as it does a videogame though?

With little experience of the game franchise however, what will Jamie and Rory think?

TRIGGER WARNING: This movie and subsequently our conversation about it, touches upon themes that some people may find extremely disturbing.
This is a difficult episode that, truth be told, we might have been better scrapping all together. Kung-Fu Master! is the only videogame movie so far to be deemed worthy of special release by The Criterion Collection, though upon watching it we discovered that it's ties to said videogame are very minimal.
Instead this French movie explores the burgeoning romantic relationship between an adult mother and a teenage boy who is friends with her daughter. It's a difficult film to watch and one we found it particularly difficult to talk about. Please be aware that the subject matter may be disturbing for some people.
